it has been done, in the past … there was a thread about it on zeroin iirctbh though, if you can get a lipo adapter, you can get pretty small 7.4v lipo’s that do a pretty good job. I did a thread about it (cyma g18c aep) many many moons ago now, still have my little aep somewhere 😂

I always wanted to do an amoeba dmr, reason being :- very snappy trigger, and able to program it to safe/semi/semi etc
i did start a vz58 project a while back … might have to revisit it

nozzle restricter

i did hear about someone having a side venting hole drilled in a nozzle … but I do not recommend (weakens the nozzle etc)

So finally got some 8mmx9mmx1mm o-rings to stabilise the inner barrel in the barrel extensions on my mk18 build, I also drilled out the flash hider to 10.5mm as sometimes bb’s clipped it. Well impressed especially with the TTI fire selector and short stroke kit.
the only issue I did notice is that it seemed to dry out really fast had to give it some silicone spray to lube the moving bits after a mag or 2 …. Gunna strip and lube it again

thanks mate, but unless you have one to get the dimensions off etc I am abit stumped ….worst comes to the worst I’ll wait till AW dose another run off them …. Just sucks having an expensive paper weight

pretty sure he said it was an unboxing/first impressions video …. And a full review would be coming. I believe he also said he paid for it.TM will never give out any freebies to anyone out side of Japan, TM do not them selves sell anything outside of Japan….

its not the winding mechanism, it’s the gear which sits on top of it.the amazon seller (where I ordered it) is being as much help as chocolate fire guard, AW are also not being much help.
I cannot find any off them for sale anywhere.

from what I’ve seen of the stock end of the receiver too; someone’s gonna have to perform a surgical miracle to get wood on that , up in this bitch.
I must have seen a totally different review to you, i though he liked it overall, and was impressed with the performance, he even highlighted the trigger for its crispness. Also check out the grin he gives after the mag dump in the short vid he put up, yesterday iirc.the end of the receiver is like that to reinforce and support the plastic stock…. It actually very well thought out and I believe it’s removable (according to the break down pics in the manual)
In other news … took mine to a game day today (first game back for a long time), gun performed well but it needs a better hop arm, and a npas, as I had to drop down to 0.25’s to get my FPS legal etc. Also you NEED the Tm speed loader, I am not joking, I tried 4 different ones and I just couldn’t get it to load (might have been me though I am abit rusty these days 🤣). Lots of people was wanting a go, general opinion is, fake wood looks better in real life, it kicks slightly harder then a mws, range seems ok on 0.25’s but it needs a hop arm etc.

I was thinking it was gunna be mws style too, I had it all planned out with a super nub 😞I guess it’s different as the mws has quite the unusual arrangement with the hop, where as the AK, is simple by comparison
The barrel, it’s approximately 220 - 230’ish mm from the tip of the outer barrel to the inner

Yeah but not side to side (on the hop patch), more up and down … I figure it’s just a moulding tolerance where the hop arm sits inside the hop wheel

Some interesting discoveries today
The inner barrel is only 200mm long and the hop is an arm design (sorry about the crappy pic, it’s really had to get a decent pic as both the arm and the hop unit are black metal)
I am gunna wait for a better upgrade as it’s a bit loose for my likingalso for those who cannot live with out an optic (as there is no traditional ak side optic mount) I have a solution

I honestly don’t know why people are getting hung up on it not being a steel receiver.
historically TM never made metal body guns
or is it just trib’ism? I don’t mean to offend just wondering.
I wouldn’t get too hung up over the externals in 6months there will be various wood/body kits etc.
What we should be doing is celebrating a new rif that isn’t another M4 or variation etc 😝😝 (FYI I like m4’s … there is just soooo many off them)

Greetings comrades, and welcome to the TM AKM thread.
The glorious AKM has now been reproduced as an airsoft gbbr.
This is a highly realistic gbbr (not that I have handled an ak mind), and thus is doesn’t have a bolt lock feature… no after the last bb, you get the dead mans click (hammer falls but no other action), just as our glorious solialist motherland demanded.
it also has a highly fiddley dry fire mode … I’ll explained it later.
other wise function wise it’s just like a aeg ak.
first issue I have found is the humongous gas tube …. It’s longer than a cricket test match!
this limits the amount of gas that you can hold in the mag (about 5seconds worth of green gas)
but there is a simple solution, just like our enemy Yankee brotheren… cut the tube in half and you vastly increased the amount of dissidents you can send to Stalin per fill (15s fil =70+ semi shots before cool down)

There is also the Uber rare TM high level claw mount … but I doubt you will find one (unless TM are gunna do another run off them for the mp5 ngrs 🤷♂️)
