  1. I was thinking about that stock originally but i heard it has some kind of funky stock attachment that only goes with ICS rifles.
  2. You may all call me silly for starting this when a mass produced version is coming out in the next month or so but i feel like it. So now thats out of the way, we can begin. My base gun is ares/amoeba am-009 so from the get go i have a reasonably accurate ris/handguard and receiver; I wont be changing any of these. My main reference picture is this And this rifle has from what i can tell a 10/12" ris which is what i already have and it happens to be octagonal, like mine. So the next thing i need is a stock, but then there is the question of battery storage. If i cant come up with a better idea, i'll get someone to front wire my rifle then use a PEQ box. I will state now that the stock is at the bottom of the shopping list. The one i plan on using is this VFC replica 416c stock http://www.ebairsoft.com/aabb-hk416c-style-stock-416aeg-p-7548.html it seems farily accurate and with some modding to the buttplate it will look fine. But as i said i will be sticking to the battleaxe stock for now. Next is the suppressor, i'll need a rounded one of about 5-6 inches. As of yet i can't find a suitable one as i'd like it to be "integrally" suppressed, if anyone can help me out on this it would be appreciated. If i can gather the money together for this it should be ready by the end of autumn time. So, what i need help with is: Battery placement Suppressor Modding a stock to fit the receiver Any input or suggestions are very useful
  3. Will these fit all M4's? And is there anywhere i can get one cheaper? http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/ics-cxp-retractable-stock.html#.U-jzR4BdUU8

Not without modification! They are designed for ICS M4s that have larger stock adaptors than normal. For a "normal" M4 you're better of searching for an HK416C stock http://www.ebairsoft.com/aabb-hk416c-style-stock-416aeg-p-7548.html or an old school wire stock

      Good idea, thanks!

  4. And their page name is "bbguns4less.co.uk"
  5. If you haven't put it on the facebook page, you should.
  6. Accidentally setting a thunder b off while it was still in the pouch.
  7. From what i know its 100% okay to replace IF parts for a skirmish, i could be wrong here but i believe it is also allowed to manufacture one if i can prove i skirmish with it (photos etc.)
  8. Yeah, guess i got a bit mixed up there. Well the plan is to replace the handguard with a black mk18 ris and the stock with a crane/magpul stock.
  9. I don't really know how to start reviews so i'll get on with what you get in the box. Gun 300rd plastic/polymer magazine Basic manual with blow out diagram A cleaning/unjamming rod of unholy length I also got a ASG M90 spring for it aswell as some new flip up sights. First impressions The first thing i noticed about this rifle when i picked it up is how god-damn heavy it is! The receiver and stock are metal whereas the whole forward assembly are metal. So as you can imagine its rather front heavy (to put this into perspective, its like trying to use a see-saw with susan boyle on the other end) Performance was phenomenal very fast ROF and trigger response on a 8.4v but this was mainly due to the built in MOSFET (i honestly have zero ideas on what it actually is) A quick shooting test to show the ROF/ trigger response Specs 12" full metal OB 12" full metal octagonal key mod style RIS Polymer upper+lower receiver Battleaxe style stock with 2 QD sling mounts 420*blazed* FPS Full metal internals Trademarks/markings The gun itself has lots of markings. None of which mention that the gun is airsoft, a generic rifle will usually have "cal.6mm" somewhere or other but in my opinion, to a untrained eye, these could look like real steal markings; and the dummy bullets in the mag window enhance the look even more. Performance From garden shooting i can tell you its a dream, since i've had it about a week/1.2 and its had around 3000 rounds through it and i've had zero lock ups or problems, apart from mags not feeding but i'll get onto that later. From the manual i can tell you its 11.1v lipo ready but i only use 8.4v 1600 mah batteries for the moment. I'm skirmishing this gun for the first time on wednesday so i'll update this then when i have some answers. One problem i had was the hop up is a little finicky and with this guns 420fps it has a little backward recoil so that does cause it to move out of place, tape will keep it steady though. Features This rifle boasts ares' new quick change spring gearbox, which im yet to use but it'll be a further update. Externally you have all the basic features of an M4: Dust cover, bolt, bolt release, mag release, left sided fire selector etc. The top reciever has a look of a VLTOR one to me but i could be mistaken, the lower is a plain m4 style with a few more curves and ridges. Along the 12" handguard there is space for RIS sections. Included are 2x small 1x medium and 1x large. These give you space for torches, grips etc. Due to the shape and length of the stock handguard it does force you to use a Chris Costa style grip, unless you move the base RIS piece forward and use a vert grip but i would assume that could get uncomfortable due to weight distribution. The outer barrel is octagonal and has a standard barrel nut. It uses a clockwise 14mm thread with an included Magpul style QD flash hider (full metal) Modifications For the moment the only things i've done to this rifle are change the sights, this is really the best thing to do as soon as you get he gun as the ones included are trademarked "Toys industries" and only have one hole (aperture?) which is about as tight as your dads walet after a divorce. Secondly, i replaced the spring to bring it down to 290-310 FPS making it suitable for indoor play. In the future i plan on installing a 10.5" outer barrel and a 9.5" DD MK18 rail and if needs be, a crane stock. Cons The main downfall of this gun is its mag compatibility, it will fit them but when they try and feed, the BB's will spray all into the trigger and gearbox mech so this is something to watch out for when making a purchase. Second con is the loose hopup wheel but is an easy fix. Thats the end i guess, i'll be updating this regulary with any problems/modifications. Enjoy!
  10. Just found out my helmet arrived yesterday when no one was at the house. Now i've got to wait till monday
  11. I agree with Russe about black ops, spartan is definitely the place to go in the bristol area in my opinion. Its my first game at the courtrooms on wednesday so i'll see about it.
  12. does anyone have m4 aeg mags for sale? need them asap before wednesday. looking for at least 3 for £25

The courthouse is single shot only. Games are fairly short and the safe zone is never far away. 1 Mag should be enough.

  13. Saw a marui M4 for £95 on zeroin, must not buy...

Not really feeling it to be honest, since it came the performance has slowly dropped and finding mags that will fit is a b*tch

    3. SimonQuigley

      SimonQuigley

And all that do fit, including the one that came with it, will misfeed or not feed at all into the gearbox and trigger mech, which is not exactly a great thing to be happening.

Might just send it to patrol base and see if they can tinker with it a bit, if its all fine then i plan on buying a madbull mk18 rail for a MOD1 setup

Actually - the £20 one doesn't include delivery (£7.90) so the HW one is actually only £6 more.

  15. Is it front wired through a PEQ? If so it would kinda ruin the look.

Ah right, thanks but no then. You might also want to consider dropping your price, they're £5.49 on PAS now...

Id say £19 posted seems reasonable

Yep, that's a fairer price. Still not interested though, sorry.

  18. I do, very nice on all accounts. Everything about it is self contained eg. built in admin pouch and triple m4 kangaroo pouch.
