  1. never had a problem with ehobby, one of the more professional hong kong outfits.
  2. that'll withstand anything an airsoft gun can throw at it, I wouldn't be surprised at all if the lens on that would withstand 1000fps
  3. the flip down lenses on those Emerson FAST helmets are borderline dangerous, I wouldn't use one if you paid me to do it: A guy from Arnies Airsoft forums did a test on them, the full write up is here: http://arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/index.php?%2Ftopic%2F159597-helmet-pictures%2Fpage-82 My 2p on it is that if you're wearing that as protection you'd be better off with a couple of layers of cling film, at least it won't shatter when the BB comes through it. If your eyepro is ANSI z87.1 rated then it'll withstand birdshot from a shotgun, airsoft won't even leave a mark on the lenses.
  4. boogie regulators will steam up the second you stand still, they're not really designed for airsoft, more parachuting, driving offroad, etc etc. £17 for a decent set of specs is a decent price.
  5. oh god, a running total would probably make me hang myself.
  6. battery and speedloader storage... or as the rest of us refer to them; pockets.
  7. good guys and bad buys being allowed to wear the same camo pattern is a friendly fire nightmare waiting to happen... even with the MPF having one half as a solid colour you'll have problems. For example, you're fighting in some woods and you see a guy wearing a DPM top but you can't see his legs, what to do? I'd shoot him, but I'm a bit of a dick like that! Brit tac have a good idea with their shemaghs, red force all have to wear a black&white shemagh, looks suitably terroristy without resorting to armbands and allows people to instantly ID the other team.
  8. hmm, what I wanted to see there was the new glasses put over the same ball as the old ones... the ball the new ones were on could have been empty for all we know. That said, for a tenner, worth a punt!
  9. Also, Kryptek IS in use by various miltaries around the world, perhaps not on guns, but kryptek clothing has been seen 'in the wild' as it were.
  10. Yeah, complete and utter tosh, anything less than 51% solid bright colour as laid down in the VCRA is a RIF, patterns are a no-no and subdued colours don't meet the requirements. That said, there's no law against you painting your gun as I assume you can prove you're a legit airsofter. The 18 year old rule applies only to SALE of RIFs, not manufacture.
  11. Evike.com are advertising them as arriving in May, might be worth putting in a pre-order with them, I know LM4 mags are like hens teeth.
  12. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=KWA+LM4+NPAS
  13. there isn't an airsoft HK45C at the moment... so it's kinda moot! Blackhawk don't make a holster for it either, the Safariland 6280 holster is what you'd need.
  14. I think generally guys that come over to play at a specific event will use that one game as their defence if they're stopped... flying a RIF into the UK would be difficult so I expect most people will drive/get a train. If you're flying, it'll be difficult, if you're driving, just book a place at a game for the weekend after you arrive and chuck the guns in your car.
  15. @Airsoft_MrB: Ehobbyasia are probably the most professional HongKong retailer I've bought from, fast shipping, communication is quick and in decent English and their stock levels on the website are accurate. Customs charges are pretty simple to work out, take the total cost of your order including shipping and add 20% to it, then chuck on £13 for parcelfarce handling fees and you're about there. Guns are liable to be held by customs for a while (the team at border force that does firearms stuff are always mega busy) but as long as your UKARA checks out they'll release the item as soon as it hits the top of their queue. @kenshin I wouldn't bother modifying a TM pistol, there's not a vast amount you can do to improve upon them in their stock form. For example, my TM glock 17 has a $350 aftermarket T7075 aircraft grade aluminium slide, a skeletonised CNC machined lightweight blowback unit with custom nozzle and piston head, a stainless steel recoil spring guide and a titanium barrel... it shot better when it had the stock slide on it, sad but true!
  16. seals don't use the Mk23 anymore, they use the HK45C and Sig P226 exclusively... that website is a bit out of date
  17. no, it's dogshit, get a G&G combat machine from zero one instead.
  18. Yeah, I think I'll hold out for game of the year edition.
  19. haha, a rover repair specialist... you've picked a market that'll never dry up!
  20. yeah, PEQ is one option, but I'd like to be able to put a functional one on there, got some opinions coming through on various brands of LiPo that'll fit, so we'll see what comes of it.
  21. what M_P said, I'm sort of regretting going down the SOCOM route now in honesty, if I'd just ponied up the extra cash and got a SOPMOD wouldn't be having any of these issues! Have a possible solution in the offing.... as you can see the batteries fit without the lower half of the RIS being fitted, but it's kinda snug. the wiring is an issue that I'll have to sort but mostly it's just fitting the batteries in! So, the plan is to remove this material: That'll allow the batteries to sit as they are now in the gun, once the wiring is squared away it should be fine.
  22. apologies for the lack of a decent place to photograph it, but my new toy is about 90% complete. It needs a new stock (either CTR or Crane, undecided which) and of course a sling. Oh, and the LiPo batteries I have don't fit in the RIS at the moment, so I may need to get someone clever to sort that out for me (less wiring, smaller plugs etc). M4A1 SOPMOD Block 2; base gun is a Tokyo Marui M4A1 SOCOM recoil shock, madbull 12.5" RIS2 in DE, Specter DR (fixed 4x), element M3x long, vanaras PEQ15, generic foregrip and some ergo rail ladders.
  23. commonality of ammunition, parts and magazines is likely to be a significant factor if the decision is made to make the LSW a marksman's rifle.
