  1. ^^Yeah, the 800mAh LiPo I just bought is to convert my Vz61 Skorpion which is basically the same gearbox as the CYMA Glock - great minds Just scored a 1.9x1.5m remnant of KGB blue felt baize so I'll be able to convert easier to obtain Soviet uniform pieces into the much harder/nigh on impossible to get KGB Special Forces uniform.
  2. Just bought another CREE XML T6 Zoom 1600lm Torch - this time for $9.51 / fingers crossed this'un works longer than 2hrs! A book on soviet uniforms in 1985 - £3 (which is a steal for it) 1300mAh 11.1V LiPo and 800mAh 7.4V LiPo from Hobby King - £14.57 posted woohoo!
  3. no it isn't - just move your head, not tip the gun to an angle - there's no reason anybody can't aim over sights that aren't vertical
  4. ^^i've had one of those! Too much grey in it these days, it's more of a drunken master stylee ting.
  5. Exactly what I was thinking! I sold a spare ceramic plate for pre-Osprey British body armour to a lad in Japan on fleabay - the plate got up to about average price but the shipping was about another £25. He was well happy with the deal though. What we need, Cypher, is a bilingual person to translate a sale format, like the one we have but including anything which is usual in Japanese ads, and classifieds rules so to indicate that you not only have to say what damage anything has sustained, but where possible photograph it. With a bit of forethought it should be possible to make a Japan/UK swaps forum that Google Translate would cover. Oh yeah, and someone who can float the idea on Japanese airsoft forums...
  6. If we're really doing "reader's wives", i'm afraid i'm going to have to insist you become supporters and take it to the private forum!
  7. Not only have I managed to find a Soviet "Syriyka" tunic which actually fits me (judging by the availability of surplus sizes, the average Russian is/was in 70's-80's a fair bit shorter than me and, if they were as fat as me, usually really short), it is in the UK, subject to free shipping, and cost... ...a tenner! I also got an empty fag packet for £1.50 and Officer's Cap Badge for £3.00 (to make my KGB dress uniform visor cap authentic with the Officer's Coat I have (which some penis has put air force shoulder boards on along with the KGB collar tabs, grrrrrr V^^V). Can't help but recommend sovietstores.com!
  8. Yep, my full head of dark hair, with so little grey despite approaching 46, proves that I'm really a hermaphrodite!
  9. I barely needed to shave once every 4-5 days until I was 30, only had about 3 chest hairs too - then, bazinga! My body decided that super-slim boyishly handsome was a thing it could do without and started making up for lost time - just as I was going to uni - the bastard!
  10. Just received a barrel mount which I have a plan to use instead to put a rail at a 60 degree angle on the left side rear of my G36 stock. The idea is to put a UV torch on it so that it shines down my chest and in front of me - see what i'm doing without showing tons of light / hardly any if i squat down. $4.25 + free shipping ~ Fleabay
  11. Tatiana = AKMS goodness!

Are you converting the Inokatsu/LCT bodied '47 into an AKM? You'll want to change the receiver since it's CNC and not stamped if memory serves me right :P

Eh,It's not like anyone will care though. Gotta love that steely goodness. How much did you get it for BTW?

£165 - i know :) it looks stamped & braised to me, but i haven't had it in bits yet - it has the AKM typ gas block piston tube, but not the angled muzzle break, so unless i change that tube i need to change the muzzle...

  12. I'm doing my bit for Movember with some tactical lip fuzz and a couple of days worth of soul patch (I have a zit so shaving that bit off will have to wait). I couldn't actually give a shit about ball cancer particularly, any more than any other sort anyway (wow too many any), but I believe there are good sociological reasons to remind the women around us (particularly those in their 20's and older who refer to themselves as 'girls'), and ourselves perhaps, that, while we are generally civilised gentlemen, that is a conscious choice; our natures have within them something much more primal... @James: wholly shit, that thing looks worryingly comfortable on your face!
  13. The bezel is 44.5mm and the actual glass is about 40mm. @UTJ: Like the tourniquet idea - i've been vaguely planning to get one to wrap around the stock of my AKS-74U, but I wont be able to fold it then - but the fold clip doesn't engage properly anyway anymore, b/c the stock is only held on by a dodgy wood bodge maybe the time is right... Have you found the racket tape in the right pink colour? My PLCE webbing: I added proper PLCE belt loops to the medic pouch, rather than leave it with the single fixed loop it came with, so I could shift the right hand double ammo pouch to the left (where I prefer my ammo) and attach the yoke as normal. I also added some neoprene to the back and lid to help it keep its shape when not stuffed full to make it easier to get at the 3 inner pouches. Some other bits'n'bobs - Reversible bum-rig: allows me to sit anywhere whenever my feet hurt too much to stand. Custom Drop Leg Rig: expands to hold more stuff than other dump pouches + bayonet frog. Added Belt Loops: reinforced with glued hoody-cotton for comfort with just pants underneath = cooler to wear. Custom Comfort Pads: cover the velcro loops under the shoulders + admin panel & various zip mods. Cock'n'Balls BB Bag: that shape completely by accident - padded inside for silence / pours easily. Scope Cover for SVD: made from camping mat for some rigidity with cushioning. Custom Machete & Scabbard: sprayed black / scabbard built from 2L plastic bottles melted to shape. Sniper Gear: MK6 Helmet Cover / Veil click thumbsnails for full size
  14. No idea what could be causing that. I've had 18650 batteries getting really quite warm in normal use before, so that wouldn't necessarily be a problem if it was happening. Do you have the other eye lens from the goggles you used and can I buy it if so?
  15. Oooh, I like that torch. I used a couple of layers of blisterpack plastic and black LX tape to do the same to my C8 torch... Got 2 BB's straight through it @Tac House: Spartan Still, at least the torch glass didn't break. I'm a bit stuffed & comfy right now, but when I can be arsed I'll put up some pics of DIY bits I've done - maybe give you some ideas.
  16. ^^Yeah, and if you run out of BB's you'll be able to use it as a mace!
  17. This isn't it exactly, but I think it's the closest you're going to get without paying for a G&P which may then need to be modded to get the stock angle correct and, depending on which one you use as the base gun for the project, possibly some mods to get rid of rails, RAS kits & mounts, etc
  18. They're a good bit of kit - thin and comfy but warm, although not too warm, and fireproof. I have a pair of the gloves - great extra layer inside leather gloves when it's really cold.
  19. @UTJ: i didn't actually have any low scope mounts when i 1st put that 4x32 illum. on there. It does look a bit silly i spose, but it's a lot more comfy for my neck than aiming from lower. It doesn't look as daft with a 3-9x40 on high mounts, but i don't want a monster scope on there and mine isn't illuminated either. I'm planning on getting a PSO-1 if I can get it at a comfy price, but I suspect I'm going to have to invest in some 'kin expensive rs kit to get something that matches the gun and sits high up enough for my creaky anatomy. @two_zero: Yeah, it came to me sprayed plain tan at the front and I hated it but i didn't have money spare to do a good paint job so I just put some black stripes on it and covered it with net/camo. I'll get around to a paint job eventually, although I'm tempted to go full wood furniture, black metalwork and a decent ghillie wrap.
  20. this one shows the custom work i've done to make the pistol grip fit my hand exactly
  21. Unless your batteries aren't charged it should be obviously brighter with 2 18650's. Did you test it somewhere with a lot of ambient light? I fell in love with mine when it arrived yesterday too - but a couple of hours messing with it and the blasted mode select has stopped working - it's stuck on full beam or off. Waiting for dove-xx to get back to me with their plan to remedy the situation grrrrrrrrrrrrrr V^^V Anyhoo, my Russian Sniper Harness just turned up... ...and it's great, but so obviously modern that I think I'm going to need a whole new loadout to go with it. Don't know whether to laugh gleefully or cry for my wallet! Full Berezka BDU's tho... hehehe
