    couldn't train today - shoulders & pecs hurt too much / need to dial back on the weight & increase reps / i'll do some stretches with light dumbells before i go to bed to prevent too much stiffening

      Do you train everyday? If so, don't. If it hurts, it's a sign that your muscles are repairing, so better rest up!
