Look I know everyone and their mother is running them, but my first CTR stock just turned up today and wow! Probably the best investment externally I've made so far.
😂😂, Yeah I think it's worth it. It's not just a small flash on the end of the RIF, but it actually fills the space around the muzzle, epically if there's any gas or mist in the air.
Yeah I wanted .25 but the site I ordered the tracer from didn't have any and for CQB .20 will be faster anyway. Just got this Spitfire tracer everyone is on about
For anyone interested in tracer BBs I have just ordered some ASG Blaster .20s for CQB. They only say "high grade" on the bottle rather than the usual diamond grade but I am sure they go through the same process. I trust ASG but will report back any problems.
I really don't like the look of it but judging by their website it aimed at more compact rifles 10.3" and PDW. Would look out of place on my 14.5 MWS.
Good point about the QD points. I've decided I can't be asked taking off the buffer tube and so I am going to trust my milspec CTR QD point. I am more worried about the buffer tube taking the weight than I am about the sling point breaking. Especially of I sling it asking quickly. Going to use a 1 point sling.
Nice one thanks, Yeah seen the trick with unwinding a rotation on Eagle 6 take down video.
For my OCD might just run a QD sling direct to the CTR stock haha
very nice, they're out of stock everywhere right now. It can't wobble more than the LE stock it comes with. How did you find reattaching buffer tube after sling mount. you gotta get a certain number of twists right?
Thanks that's super helpful. CTR here I come, If I can find an FDE one.
Gonna watch the Eagle 6 video on removing the buffer tube. Little nervous to put the sling plate on but let's see.
^ Thanks
Couple of other things. Gonna run a new stock. Thinking Magpul CTR but I am keeping the front sight post and M4A1 hanguard so no MK18 for me. I guess kinda hybrid. Might look good, might look horrible. I need mil spec or commercial?
Gonna mount a rear sling mount on the buffer tube. Don't really like running it off the stock. I want something thats not gonna snap like pot metal obviously.
Is it a bitch to remove the buffer tube and install a rear plate sling mount. Seems like if you get this wrong could screw up the distance required for the recoil spring also I Gott buy some proprietary castle nut screw thing?
These are vaguely answered elsewhere in the forum but thought it would be handy having it all here.
Speaking of triggers. Anyone got any advice on making this part more comfortable. I let any weight on and its digging in to my finger. Any trigger guards that cover it up or am I just gonna suck it up and buy some gloves.
I ordered a Holosun sight for £177 which I assume is coming from Germany, is gonna take like a month and I am expecting probably another £60/£80 to pay I reckon but will keep you updated
OK last dumb question. When the nozzle return spring eventually breaks would you replace with TM or something else? Have seen a UAC one at bedaubing but he had a major malfunction
