The 'What have you just bought' Thread
gunbod007 replied to Cameron364's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Yeah it is the weird conundrum of sights for RIFs. Every cheapo red dot I have bought has suffered from horrible parallax. Maybe there are some good replicas out there but just got my Holosun and is a good medium ground between fancy optic but affordable. -

Rate tactical kit highly, have had some good chats with them there. They go the extra mile. Tight bore for accuracy. -

Ok you just had to keep going. Two Tone definitely makes you a shit muncher. Now the experienced people have addressed your point. You disagree. so why keep going, you're just gonna alienate yourself. -

A multipage off topic argument on an airsoft forum, who'd have thought it? Can we all just heed these wise words and move on. Size matters not. -

I am saying if I were you and you want to smaller platform but you want to play woodland. Would sticking a tight bore that's equal length in fix everything? -

So I actually can't even remember what this argument is about but hey lets fuel the flames. If it is about barrel length surely a tight bore is more important for range? Or at least the benefit from a longer barrel is less without a tighter bore as if your BB is traveling with the same FPS down a longer barrel yes you will get some extra range but also a longer distance with not the best air pressure behind it. Disclaimer: I have literally no idea what I am on about and that's ok. Just curious. -

Arrived yesterday. Holosun Micro Classic HS403C I had ordered the B variant but after 2 months they still hadn't stock so they offered this more expensive model for no extra. I think the only difference is the solar power. Is my first ever decent optic that isn't one of the £40 knock of red dots from you name it airsoft website. Thing I am most impressed with is very very little parallax effect which the cheaper red dots suffer from. Great build quality as well and much cheaper than RS military optics but still retains that T1/2 look. If you want a quality optic you can actually use that isn't expensive this is the one. Also rocking the guns modify T1 lens cover. -
I wish, I wish, I wish. I have ordered a WE one. Will probably shoot like shit but at least I can slap it.
-
Yeah I am just hoping when I go to my first game after lockdown that not everyone turns up with an L119A2 haha Got my tracer fitted with some custom bits made by this guy.
-
Nice, I need to get my surefire weapon light but have decided on what model and I am also not planning on running a PEQ just yet has no Night vision. Is that a real Acog?
-
How it started.... ...How it's going. Externals: Angry Gun Surefire 216A flash hider and FH556SA suppressor Angry Gun L119A2 10" outer barrel Angry Gun L119A2 rail Holosun Classic HS403-C in FDE PTS EPG RS Magpul CTR stock. Still awaiting Magpul AFG + RVG, Magpul MS3, Magpul RSA and Magpul ASAP QD from Brownells but thought I would share as has been a quiet day. Internals are completely stock although if I can ever get the barrel off again I'd like to try the Super Nub

I got the 45 rounders due to cost, would rather the more accurate and correctly curved 30 rounds but they are too expensive. I have got 3 spares plus what it comes with. Don't intend on using it too much as I have an MWS but will use it for the fun factor and HK slap.
-
went with the WE Apache MP5A3 from KYairsoft. I think it is the most in demand model and they're awaiting a shipment still.
-
Oh I ordered the WE MP5 but I am still waiting on it to arrive

Why did you start airsoft? I actually can't remember how I even found out about it, probably YouTube videos and I got curious. I had been paintballing a lot, but I also loved games like battlefield 3 and the realism of airsoft really appealed to me as a kid. I started when I was about 15, mainly attended "young guns" events for teens, but did the occasional fancy CQB event. What do you like about airsoft? It feels like I am in a video game, it feels real and immersive, yet still really fun. Plus it is great exercise and I met a lot of good people and was good for socialising. I enjoy learning about weapons and military history so getting to meet people and share knowledge and learn was great. What don't you like about airsoft (not including KM or non hit taking, something more substantial please) The cost was always a problem, my family were helping support me as I was just a teen when I started. These days AEGs seem a lot cheaper though. Airsoft doesn't have to be too expensive but their is always a must have piece of kit that I can't take my eyes off. Yes other players can be toxic and not taking hits is annoying and there's a lot of elitist players but I couldn't care about them tbh. I just keep away from anyone I think is trouble. There is plenty of really good and players that you can find. Considering I was playing as a teenager in teenager only games there was surprisingly little drama. Of course things happened from time to time but I don't let it get under my skin. The biggest problem I have with Airsoft to this day is just things always going wrong. Guns and gear breaking or not working as expected and the fact that all the manufactures are on the other side of the world you have to rely on finding someone local who is a good tech. I was forever having problems and eventually I got bored of it. I actually quit until this year I have got back into it. It can be hard to find good reliable people and retailers to trust, who are willing to support you. I think after a few years I also found AEGs and normal open days just a bit boring, I was too young and poor to do Milsim or filmsim, or have an interesting gun. Now I have got into GBBRs for their realism and that's got me back into it. Do you think airsoft has any health benefits I.e keeping you fit etc Great social interaction, share knowledge, keep fit. Have fun
-
Each to their own, but HPA?🤮 In fairness I have never shot one, Is see the appeal. And would be good for speedsoft I guess but for me personally the realism combined with performance that you get with the MWS is just perfect to me.
-
I have just swapped my handguard to the Angry Gun L119A2 and yeah I needed to get either the adapter or the outer barrel changed. I wanted a short outer barrel anyway so opted to change this. You will probably need shims to ensure a tight fit with no wobble
-
Also Have to add I am very jealous of your HK45 tactical. Lovely pistol. I have the TM Glock myself but am tempted to either go with another Glock (18) or the HK 45 tactical.
-
Yeah ditch the silent fill valves and use the "stabby" method. All will be well
-
When I read the title of this topic I genuinely thought it was sarcasm. 50 Rounds on one fill is great for a pistol!
