  1. very nice, they're out of stock everywhere right now. It can't wobble more than the LE stock it comes with. How did you find reattaching buffer tube after sling mount. you gotta get a certain number of twists right?
  2. Thanks that's super helpful. CTR here I come, If I can find an FDE one. Gonna watch the Eagle 6 video on removing the buffer tube. Little nervous to put the sling plate on but let's see.
  3. ^ Thanks Couple of other things. Gonna run a new stock. Thinking Magpul CTR but I am keeping the front sight post and M4A1 hanguard so no MK18 for me. I guess kinda hybrid. Might look good, might look horrible. I need mil spec or commercial? Gonna mount a rear sling mount on the buffer tube. Don't really like running it off the stock. I want something thats not gonna snap like pot metal obviously. Is it a bitch to remove the buffer tube and install a rear plate sling mount. Seems like if you get this wrong could screw up the distance required for the recoil spring also I Gott buy some proprietary castle nut screw thing? These are vaguely answered elsewhere in the forum but thought it would be handy having it all here.
  4. Speaking of triggers. Anyone got any advice on making this part more comfortable. I let any weight on and its digging in to my finger. Any trigger guards that cover it up or am I just gonna suck it up and buy some gloves.
  5. Humble brag, fanciest trigger I've pulled is a RS L85 variant. Can't remember if it was any good
  6. Take it back to the retailer and my personal research after having just done loads of research. If you can find a TM G17 for a good price go with that instead. Much better cold weather performance and all round performance and accuracy. Great with gas too. Only downside is plastic slide but its honestly not a turn off. I love my new one
  7. I ordered a Holosun sight for £177 which I assume is coming from Germany, is gonna take like a month and I am expecting probably another £60/£80 to pay I reckon but will keep you updated
  8. Agreed there is no predicting this, it gets made up every time you order! Just click the button and pray
  9. OK last dumb question. When the nozzle return spring eventually breaks would you replace with TM or something else? Have seen a UAC one at bedaubing but he had a major malfunction
  10. Haha you're shitting me? All I have read is TM's only downside is their fragility but thats probably more their plastic pistols. Out of interest Nuprol 4 is your "black gas"? Do it in quick stabs of 1-2 seconds as it is less likely to freeze the fill valve
  11. I take it you're using upgrade bolt like the G&P and Buffer to handle the propane? Also considering an NGRS as a cold weather/backup. From what I remember they're a pain with wiring and batteries need some custom work done by eagle 6 or something to make them better.
  12. Not to start a whole debate and the is maybe a chat for another topic but yeah just my personal opinions here no judgment on anyone. I find that HPA is kind of against my reasons for enjoying airsoft. Takes away some of the realism. Not only in looks and practically but also from what I've seen, you can have a fire rate of infinite and just stick a hi cap on haha. Kind of the way AEGs went with the various upgrades like Mosfet. I am not gonna pretend to be an expert, because I'm not. But both of these elements are the opposite of why I like airsoft. It is so "paintball" like to me, sorry if thats an insult ahah. I don't wanna go full delta 6, dev gru, green beret, 42cmd, SBS operator level milsim but the realism of the GBBR platform and the reliability/use-ability of the MWS is probably the sole reason im back after 6 years away from the hobby/sport But each to their own. and I suppose thats the good thing about this is we can all find our little niche. Maybe my mind will change if I try it but right now. not a fan of HPA
  13. So I was last Airsofting maybe 5 or 6 years a go and only just go back into it. Waiting for sites to reopen of course. I could be wrong but I don't remember HPA being that big a deal besides the odd guy with a Polarstar, but now it seems like a deadly plague that has taken over.
  14. Please no one HPA an MWS haha
  15. Ah I see haven't been in so long couldn't remember if the limit was based on what you were running or .2s. Makes sense Damn this SixG stuff looks impressive. Deffo considering the nub and maybe the high speed buffer too. Seems optimal for semi only running but a slight pain on full auto. Full auto is not ideal for GBB with 35 rounds anyway haha My whole play style is gonna change I can feel it.
  16. Yeah have been considering the XISG brass nub, but deffo feel like I should just play with it stock for a bit. I will look into the high speed buffer. That just for RoF? and UAC I assume. Also on the FPS your .3s come under 350 which is my sight limit but I suppose with weather and variations could be a risk. Plus the joule creep on a .3 at 350 is probably unfair. Yeah I have seen the UAC lightweight bolt was but was a bit meh. The g&p power increase looks good for longer ranges
  17. Dumb question, I can buy this whole thing and just drop it in, no assembly/other bits needed? I haven't been airlsofting in ages and don't have a chrono. So I am going to see how predator ultra gas handles in my local CQB in Newbury (after lockdown) I am sure the lower TM sock FPS will be fine but it is tempting to get this bolt straight away ad just run heavier bbs instead of an npas. I don' know maybe is kind of a dick move as its gonna sting
  18. Oh I like that any walk thoughts on it? scale of 1/10 how hard is it Good tip thanks is it a whole bolt and nozzle too or just the BCG
  19. Looks like I need to buy that G&P bolt
  20. What charging handle are you running. It is the only metal part I've considered replacing but heard bad things about angry gun. probably gonna leave it stock.
  21. I am sure it's already somewhere in this thread but I just gotta say. I really think it's cute how they put this little foam thing on, to protect the cerakote from the dust cover. it's coming off none the less but nice. IMG_0921.HEIC
  22. Always used ASG Blaster. Used to be an AEG guy years a go so comfortable with them. Never use the bbs that come with the gun. I have heard TM is the exception but still will probably leave them alone
  23. Yeah bought it brand new was just thinking the movement on the nozzle could mean it doesn't sit flat on the mag but thanks for the reassurance. I ran it on some stronger gas today and wow!
