Thanks for the tip. Shame about the SD3 having issues it was one I was considering. I am now considering he standard MP5A3 seems good reviews so far and hope it doesn't over hop. Has a much shorter barrel top. will see what happens after mods.

Yeah was a struggle for sure. Took off the receiver and pistol grip and reset the reverse catch twice. Never opened a gearbox before. Bit scared but can't fuck it up anymore. Time for YouTube. Is only a backup now I have a GBB

For anyone interested in tracer BBs I have just ordered some ASG Blaster .20s for CQB. They only say "high grade" on the bottle rather than the usual diamond grade but I am sure they go through the same process. I trust ASG but will report back any problems.

I have stock and running .28s have yet to shoot it beyond what my garden will allow. You reckon this sixG nub thing improves the range?

So I have an ASG SR12 LMT Defender AEG, Running what I presume is a V2 gearbox. it has been left unused for years. Got some new batteries and it fired about 5 shots and just stopped. Every time you pull the trigger it make a click noise but no cycle. battery and wires get very hot. I have removed the motor and checked that works by firing it with the motor removed. I have reset the reverse lever thing. It seems that after each reset you fire one shot and it locks again. I am tempted to just take it to a shop at this point but was hoping to avoid expensive repairs.

Yeah this is what I am saying. UKARA isn't the only valid defence but it is certainly one of the most widely accepted. Putting the safety pf my £400+ RIF in the hands of Border Force able to figure that out doesn't fill me with confidence so I will probably wait for UK stock or until we can actually play and I can get my UKARA

Thanks for the link, seen them before but "pre order" only. Will contact them next week to see how long that's gonna take. I suppose my question is less about websites that will accept anything but UKARA because I am confident some will. It is more if they accept. what happens on the import side. I need a friend in border control haha

So I am desperately after a WE Apache MP5A3 GBB. it's lockdown, I'm impatient and going crazy waiting to find one. It seems none are available in the UK based on my searches. So I have been considering importing via Swit airsoft. I have some problems/questions: 1: I don't have UKARA as only recently got back into the sport and surely it is impossible to get UKARA during lockdowns? 2: UKARA technically isn't the only defence so I do have "Just Cos" which some sites accept and some don't. Also debating a "Sportsman's association membership" again accepted by some sites. Both of these allow me some defence while not being able to play due to lockdown. I suppose my question is, at what stage of importing is valid defence checked by and who? Would they accept anything that I have other than UKARA? And does anyone have experience with importing or troubles with it, including not receiving your RIF? Alternatively if anyone knows of UK stock for this RIF please let me know. I am a genuine Airsofter who has just got back into the sport at the worst time and desperately scratching my head to find valid defence.

Yeah I am definitely going for the A3 with the sliding stock. Even considered the SD3 but ultimately going for the normal unstressed version. I can't find any in UK right now other than Swit and.I just don't feel comfortable ordering abroad as my defence isn't UKARA it's some other thing while we're in lockdown. They're so expensive as well! I will have to cheap out on the mags tbh

Yeah I have had to resort to Just Cos and some other national shooting membership. Works ok for UK orders but about to order international and biting my fingers its gonna get seized.

Specking of not being able to shoot each other. Has anyones UKARA run out. Technically with lockdowns it's impossible for me to get one. makes buying RIFs trickier so I am aware of some of the other defences but nothing seems as legit as UKARA

So I already have a main GBBR, the TM MWS. Love it. Now looking for something a little bit different to run just for fun. Thanks to the amazing performance of $GME I am now considering either the WE Apache MP5 GBB or the TM MP7. The obvious answer for ease of use, straight out of the box performance and all round quality would be the TM. However I have seen the WE does seem to be impressive, for a WE. plus it is the iconic MP5 and you get to HK slap. Way cooler! A little worried about the MP5 with FPS not a fan of opening guns up, but looks like I would have to adjust the FPS where I am sure the TM MP7 would be fine on Green Gas stock. Anyone with experience or thoughts on the two would love to hear your experience but if anyone has any suggestions for something else entirely, feel free to chime in. Also I have seen Swit airsoft with their custom pre modded version of the MP5 so I could dial down the FPS that way, anyone with experience from them too would be great. little nervous about shipping from abroad with customs being a mare atm My mind's telling me MP7 but my hearts says MP5

I really don't like the look of it but judging by their website it aimed at more compact rifles 10.3" and PDW. Would look out of place on my 14.5 MWS. Good point about the QD points. I've decided I can't be asked taking off the buffer tube and so I am going to trust my milspec CTR QD point. I am more worried about the buffer tube taking the weight than I am about the sling point breaking. Especially of I sling it asking quickly. Going to use a 1 point sling.
