The Tac41p Sport is up for sale at £250 at empire Airsoft which seems a really good deal along with the LS. Would be interesting to see if the hop unit has issues as silverback put out a video on making it hop heavyweight bb's better.
-
Here's a full image from silverback breaking down the material used for each rifle part and various other specs. The LS does appear to be good value. A guy on YouTube has done tests at 4j+ and it holds up without issue so far.

Be warned whilst it works the Airsoftpro has no built in barrel to hop unit alignment so it's 100% on the user to make everything align (i.e centre the hop rubber so it hops straight) I've got one and it works well once it's set correctly but avoid touching it unless needed or you can test again before gameday. I find drawing a line continuing the hop rubber alignment grove up the barrel helps line it up with the mag catch screw mount to ensure it's all lined up well.

Sometimes it's better to keep going unnoticed and maintain the status quo. Honestly don't want attention from the wrong people (politicians), who if they became aware would likely campaign to ban our already often misunderstood hobby.

Nothing says "I look after my stuff" than not even bothering to remove site chrono zip ties before taking photos to try and sell it for likely more than retail.

At UK 2.3j the goal for accurate shots is 80m I find, anything over that is generally inconsistent/luck to one shot one kill. What weight and make of BB are you running? (brand is less of an issue now days though) You want to be shooting .45s or above really.

Might want to look at the Ares striker exploded diagram as they are the same underlying mechanical system I think. Than it's just filling filling in the differences for the body. Any reason you need it someone might know if you your after something particular?

As someone who's upgraded an type96, I can't say it was worth it over getting a good ootb rifle. When your upgrading your always chasing the next upgrade part or troubleshooting something it seems. Go back 3-4 years and their wasn't really any decent ootb choices. But nowadays with silverback, ASG/Modify and Nov having good field ready options the upgrade path is harder to justify for a lot of players. If you want 100% perfection than building and months of tinkering is your only way, if you are happy with 90-95% than just buy a high end ootb option. Resale on high end is generally better than a custom build if you change your mind as well.

A Tac-41p and/or exfog would be fantastic. But at this point even game day vouchers would be good. I've heard Santa didn't renew his UKARA so no rifs this year.

ComicCon airsoft open carry (facepalm)
Speedy Sloth replied to Galvatron's topic in General Discussion
Honestly difference is that we care more if rifs get outlawed/harder or more expensive to obtain than cosplayers. Rifs are just the final 1%of the costume for them but the entire sport for us. So they will do whatever without and consideration of what the outcome could be for everyone else if it goes wrong. -
Combat South will always be missed. The village was great and the fresh cooked lunch being included and so filling for those winter days. It's a site where the marshalls knew how to do a great job and use what they had to make game modes work. Do wish Russ and the team would open a new site, but the shop seems so busy and the express store don't think they will. Bought my first rif from them and they threw a free game day in, just spectacular service. Also the store is great and they have always been honest with purchase choices without the unneeded upsell.

I've being eying the ASG lately but I do enjoy teching. That low entry price to the platform makes it so appealing can always chuck the upgrades into a TM down the line if your not happy with whatever remains of the ASG.

Had some .32 asg open blaster I've been slowly using over 4 years and they've been good and reliable. Didn't even know they were bio until my local site changed and I checked the packaging to see if they were.

+1 feyachi Also make or buy a lens protector

What in the speedsoft are those snipers? Are they vsr with hi cap mags or something?
-
For me stock performance has been good, just give it a good service. Also check the hammers condition, if it looks well worn replace it for peace of mind as they are a known weak point.

For any weights that are supplied in the traditional 3300 bottle size ASG always seem reliable I find. Heard good things about the ASG AI heavyweights but never tried them personally.

Who's been here recently? Any recent reviews? Look at a possible Wednesday evening game but wondering how the gameplay is.

Lights are highly recommended for the site. As some areas are very dark. Also the average firefight range is extremely short and they didnt chrono guns last time I went. I would not recommend for anyone under 18 to go. Full head protection is recommended but everyone seems to mesh lower and eyepro only. Its a fun very small site but can be a bit rough gameplay wise due to the sites nature.

If your on a budget bolle trackers or cobras are en166b rated, but if your a sweat drenched monster within 5 mins of a game starting type they can fog quickly.

Can't view the video but assuming it's the same the one in this video @1:00 than it's rebrand of the specna s02/s03 from the looks of it
-
Do you have a picture of the mag? It will help identify which platform/system it uses. It's likely going to be a rebrand of either the cm700 , de/asg m40 sportline or s&t/specna m40
