Specna SA-C12 CORE not feeding. Now gearbox rebuild.

Excellent! Well found. AK2M4 ships out very quickly and has them in stock as well (https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/misc-internal-parts). -

The nozzle certainly does not seem to be moving properly. It could well be a tappet plate issue; it might be sticking in its groove, rubbing on the sector gear or possibly catching somewhere. It is probably time to take the gearbox apart again. -
Welcome to AFUK. It is probably the best airsoft group on t'interwebs, with a very knowledgeable bunch of people. How new is new?

Following our recent adventure oop north as described in Weeble200's post above, I spent today at Tower Airsoft, one of my regular sites in the sarf east. About 50 people were present to indulge in shooting each other with little plastic balls. For a change, the games were organised by the team from Airsoft Plantation, Tower's big brother at the other end of the wood. We started off with a simple ambush game which, as the name suggests, involved one team ambushing the other as they patrolled along the road through the site. The patrolling team's key rule of engagement was that they had to stay on the road and could not shoot until engaged by the ambushers; once that had happened, they were free to return fire and go wherever they wanted. Patrollers had infinite regens on a marshal, whereas the ambushers only had one life. I was dubious about the game at first, but it turned out to be rather fun, with both teams getting a go at being the ambushers and the ambushees; the team that cleared the ambushers out in the fastest time form the first shot being fired were the winners, with a one minute penalty for each ambusher still alive after the area had been declared clear by the patrollers. After that, we played the first leg of a longer game using the whole site. The concept was that the attacking team had been parachuted in ahead of a seaborne invasion with a mission to destroy a road via which the enemy would receive reinforcements, a comms centre, and a vital bridge. In order to destroy these, the attacking team had a designated demolition specialist, equipped with electrically triggered smoke grenades (no bangs allowed at Tower due to the proximity of neighbours), an electric detonator and a remote control. They could attack them in any order they wanted but had to start dispersed across the site out of sight of each other as a result of the drop. The defenders had to start around the road. Both sides had infinite buddy regens at the start; however, once two objectives were destroyed, the defenders were down to two lives as no further reinforcements could get through. We were the attackers and the group of about five of us who banded together after our dispersed drop decided to try to draw as many of the enemy as possible onto us rather than onto the team with the demolition specialist. This was successful as we spent a lot of the hour engaging much larger groups of the enemy and all targets were destroyed. After lunch, we played a fallback game, defending the road, then the castle area and, finally, the church. The enemy captured the road and the castle, but not the church. This was then reversed and we captured all three. We then played the reverse of the paratroopers game, with us as the defenders. I will draw a veil over this game, except to note that, despite some great play, we got walloped. It was a good, fun day with great play from both teams and no significant issues apart from my M4 deciding yet again not to feed from most of the magazines that it had happily fed from on Friday evening; it seemed to only like the PTS PMags. However, I have now modified some other mags that should now feed perfectly in it, although I suspect that it will still find a way to reject them. I also bought a cheap Double Eagle shotgun from the site shop and got a kill with my third shot from it; it shoots at 1J and has excellent range; great fun. Weapons used: Lancer Tactical M4 (upgraded and being used as a testbed for the CHiLUN mosfet) Classic Army ISSC MK22 (who the heck decided that the world needs a .22 SCAR?) If it has a G&G mosfet, then it probably needs an 11.1v battery, One bleep per second is the mosfet registering low voltage and cutting out to protect the battery; they are generally set up for 11.1v, although my son had one that worked perfectly with 7.4v.
-
A beeping sound suggests that it has a mosfet fitted and that the mosfet is not happy about something. Some mosfets bleep in particular ways to indicate particular errors. Do you know what mosfet is in it?

With the SRC it is best to replace the gearbox and it’s contents and the awful hop unit; with a bit of surgery, the much better CYMA hop fits and works very well. Allegedly, the receivers are made on presses originally used to produce MP5s in India.

Ares recommend 11.1v.

Bolle Trackers definitely take inserts; I have a pair as my reserve goggles. For genuine Revision stuff (there are a lot of fakes out there), have a look here: https://www.tactical-kit.co.uk/revision-eyewear-79-c.asp

Ladbrokes have stopped taking bets on "exaggerating".

New year will not have caused a delay stretching back a month. HK customs are being a bit weird lately for a variety of reasons.

Please help me identify these guns.

The middle one is a G&G GR4 G26; around £200 new. -
Today saw a return to Airsoft Plantation, near Braintree in Essex, for my son's first game since September 2022. A cold morning saw probably about 150 people getting ready in the excellent safe zone; however, I always wonder why some players leave it to the last minute to arrive As usual, the safety briefing was concise, to the point and genuinely amusing. Immediately afterwards, the first game was briefed but then had to be changed to allow for a newly fallen tree to be made safe. The schedule for the day was shuffled around with no fuss. Airsoft Plantation do not chrono guns; chronos are available on the range and players are informed that it is their responsibility to ensure that their weapons are under the limit. There is a lot of spot checking and anyone using a hot gun is "asked" to leave the site. The games were well designed and well marshalled and generally played in a gentlemanly but competitive manner; there were a few allegations of non hit taking on both sides, but no more than would normally be expected. At one point, in a squad based game, we did hear two nearby squads (one from each side) being instructed by a marshal to disengage and fall back in order to reduce tension; this seemed to be well handled by the marshal involved. The games ran well, were challenging and were fun, although my view may be biased by our side (blue) winning all of them, despite an attempt to balance the teams. Overall, my son and I had an excellent day; next stop is Camp Anzio, near Leek. Weapons used: Me: Ares VZ58, PTS Masada (AK version), Milbro Classic M1911 CO2 Son: LCT AKMS, G&G AKM, ASG Commander XP18 CO2 Shared: JG G3A3 (first run out since being bought and upgraded)

Poorly designed and made? That is a massive understatement!

Which category does a peashooter come under?
-
BBs at 1J can and do break things and cause injuries; you saying they do not does not change reality.
-
As far as I know, they only come with Deans. You could always buy batteries with Deans or just change the Perun Deans connector to a Tamiya.
-
If you install the Perun, you can run any battery. However, NiMHs are old technology; LiPOs are much better. The SkyRC chargers are very good.

It is a five minute job. https://perunairsoft.pl/products/etu_plusplus/

The G&G mosfets cut off when the battery voltage drops below a certain level. That level is much closer to the full battery charge for a 9.6v than it is for an 11.1v. The experience that you had is quite common when running G&G mosfets on anything lower than an 11.1v battery. However, some G&G mosfets run fine on 9.6v, 8.4v or 7.4v; G&G sent me one when I had a conversation with them about it. The best thing you can do is replace the mosfet (not the trigger unit) with a Perun ETU++; it does not mind which voltage you use and has a number of useful features.

Ex attempting to sell me back my RIF - Is this an offence under the VCRA?
Colin Allen replied to DrFumbles's topic in UK Law
Forget about the toy gun for now and focus on how you can maintain a positive ongoing relationship with your son. That has to be your priority; you can always buy another gun. -
I assume that the Nuprol battery is an 11.1v; the G&G mosfets really need an 11.1v.

If you have bought issue AKU Pilgrim boots, take them back if you can. The heels wear down very quickly and they are far from being waterproof, despite the GoreTex lining.

I haven't used the Wii Tech one as the SHS one does an excellent job.
