I used to run Maple Leaf Macaron (yellow) almost exclusively in all my AEGs until it one of them caused a lot of feed issues in my mk18. I swapped to a Begadi (IIRC) Fly5 hop rubber and have stuck with that since with no issue. I feel like the performance of the Begadi rubber is better (aside from curing the feeding issues). Shots appear more consistent with a flatter trajectory for longer. I've heard good things about the 4uantum Friction Pro and have an AEG and GBB one to try.

New Player Looking for Advice on First AEG & Modding Options
MrTea replied to Twist's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
If I remember rightly, the cheaper ones (CYMA/Cybergun/Double Bell/JG) have bodies made of ABS plastic which isn't as strong or nice feeling as the nicer polymer ones such as Tokyo Marui, King Arms, (I think) Novritsch and Krytac. The cheaper ones tend to be new for about £100-£150 depending on brand. King Arms (if you can find them) and TM are in a middle ground of pricing about £200-£250. Novritsch also makes a P90 called the SSR90 which is about £300. Krytacs tend to be on the more expensive end I think. As for mags i've always stuck with King Arms 100 round ones as I bought a box set of them when I got my P90, never had an issue with them feeding in CYMA, Cybergun or a King Arms P90. CYMA make 70 rounders, JG also make 100 round mags. There are higher capacity "MAG" branded ones that are 150 rounders but they tend to be hard to find and expensive when you do. Finally, Novritsch also has 100 round P90 mags. As @Tackle mentions, you can get a M4 magazine adapter so you can bypass this issue completely. It costs anywhere from £30-£50 depending on the retailer. -
HPA ready OOTB sniper with a TDC sounds incredibly interesting not gonna lie.

Revision Anti-fog cloths + exfog. Never had fogging since when using my ESS Profile NVG goggles, however, condensation sometimes is an issue but very rare. If the goggles/eye pro you're using has foam around the sides, pull it off. It helps massively with air flow.

UK people didn't IMO. Discord was the popular choice until they changed their TOS recently. Most groups I know of have since moved to Whatsapp and/or Telegram. The UK airsoft subreddit is a small place but not really worth looking at despite the odd newcomer who needs direction. Additionally, the marketplace sub is pretty much dead and really isn't worthwhile using despite the reddit mods pushing people to it.

@Ronin0033 is very knowledgable about MP9s. Bought mine from him and it's ran like a trooper.

New chest rig in Multicam Tropic. Holds 8x M4 mags, 2x pistol mags and lots of misc space in the GP pouches.

Guessing they're referring to NamesNicco - UK airsoft youtuber. His videos all take the standard stance of "insert outlandish XYZ claim here" with over the top thumbnails. While I don't like his content (and don't watch it), never heard of him being called a cheater.

Is this the same thing on eBay? Supposed to be a sample from the MOD? Not sure how they've verified that claim or how it justifies the price either.

Tokyo marui gungale online 2 P-90+ Ver.LLENN (pchan) new release
MrTea replied to Compulsive Reload's topic in Latest News
They also did a pistol in pink and black. It was a Detonics .45 with some extra bits on it. It was called the 'Vorpal Bunny' and the black version was of the same name but with 'Rem' added to it. All the GGOxTM P90 replicas came in collectors and/or decorative boxes that people (at some points) were asking >$1000 for. Pics stolen from Reddit. Will be trying to get my hands on one of these if/when they're released again because I love my KA P90 and think having a bright pink one would be hilarious. -
Keep us updated with how you get on

You could try getting onto WellPro on Facebook to see what they say rather than just ripping the standard internals out just yet. Could be worth a try and I guess you've nothing to lose.

To be honest, I didn't expect too much from an ETU that they wouldn't name as an advertising point (providing it's the ETU that's failing). For £180, I always had the idea in my head of it's going to break sooner rather than later. I haven't managed to field mine yet outside of testing it when it arrived so it's very much in the 'YMMV' territory but i'll 100% be carrying a backup to the field when I take mine

Selling my Double Bell Kar98k shell ejecting gas rifle. This is the real wood version, not the polymer with the fake wood texture. Rifle was used as display piece and garden plinking only - has never been to a field. Comes in the original box with all papers/manuals. Comes with 25 shells and a shell catcher (should you ever take it to a field, this will stop you losing the shells). Any questions, please ask. £190 including postage and PayPal fees ONO.£190

Mine turned up today too. Took a fair bit of effort to get it onto the 1911 rail. Rock solid on both where the repros had play. Not sure on why there's a slight design difference for the 'surefire' trademark. Can only guess one is older than the other or maybe some different tooling used for it? Controls are nice and stiff, very hard to accidentally knock the light on which was a gripe I had with the repros. Very happy with these. Now I just need a lightbearing holster for each - any suggestions welcome -

Just bought two. They'll accept offers at £65 which saves you a bit more. -
Looking for pistol lights atm. How do we know they're legit or is it a case of 'trust me bro'?

If you're new to airsoft (meaning you've not really played much before), i'd recommend not buying a sniper as the videos online you've likely seen are of players with lots of experience and lots of money invested into their rifles - most of the videos i've seen have their snipers running on HPA too. Snipers, especially spring rifles, are 'built not bought' unless you're going to buy someones already built rifle that they're selling on but even then, there's no guarantee of it working as it should <- found this one out from personal experience Turns out the guy had spent ~£40 on a hop unit that just didn't work well with the rifle. It's my understanding that most snipers, out of the box, require extensive upgrades to make them viable (some more than others) and AFAIK they're often sold with a spring inside that only outputs 1 joule. Additionally, accuracy and range on the stock hop units and hop rubbers is poor to questionable. AirsoftCamMan has a good video where he uses a stock CYMA VSR and a stock SSG10A1. This will give you an idea of how they are without upgrades. It's not totally clear if he's put 500fps springs into these guns so take it with a grain of salt. Even when you get to the point of having a well built & tuned sniper rifle, it's still airsoft and you're still shooting plastic BBs that will skew off at times and miss the target even if you do everything right. To answer your question about rifles: the most recommended i've seen is the Tac-41 Lite Sport then the Novritsch offerings.

Hi Yes i've been, both before and after they opened their SpeedSoft arena. I'll happily admit that it used to be better beforehand and the reduced space for the regular airsoft walk-ons has made it an overall worse experience however it is the only indoors CQB site in the local area. Be mindful when you're on the upper floor of the arena - whatever they're using on the 'floor' they can actually be very slippy and i've fallen on my arse more than once even in boots. IMO the best days are when there are less people because it allows freedom of movement for both teams in the new setup. With more people, it's just too cramped. The old setup was longer allowing for more/deeper flanking routes and you could get behind the enemy team pretty often which could flip the momentum of the match you were in - annoyingly, this is pretty rare now with the condensed arena unless you have lower numbers. The only other Indoor sites in the area (that i'm aware of) are NoLimits in Newcastle and 101Airsoft in Scarborough. You can use this site to see all the sites in the UK. I can vouch for Armageddon: The Woodland (Middlesbrough) being a quality outdoors woodland site (also my regular site) and the owner is a fantastic guy to deal with. NTAC is a decent site with questionable marshalling, however, I haven't been in well over a year so it may have changed since then. Yes it was something i originally overlooked. But i will be putting some on, thanks Personally i'd suggest using AKU Pilgrims if you can get your hands on them cheap. I paid £40 for mine (surplus) and they're the most comfortable boots i've worn to the point I swear by them.
