What on earth is it going into?

Longest barrels i've seen in airsoft are in the 650mm range particularly dragonuv's and the mg42.

Cyma Dragunov SVD. It’s got a 695 inner barrel 🤦‍♂️

... and to add to the above I'm assuming that there's no optical controller of any sort in the gearbox (monitoring the sector gear) offering "cycle control" so that it doesn't over spin / there some sort of active braking.

No optical controller pretty basic insides tbh

If it's a feeding issue rather than motor overspin, then yes, surprisingly, it did help[*] with double feeding issues on my MP5K after I'd meddled with it.

We're talking a small indentation. I ran a 6mm just a few turns forwards with gentle pressure, then in reverse to deburr it.

[*] Always assuming that it wasn't just another disassemble-reassemble which resulted in everything lining up properly.

Ok I’ll try the battery and when I’ve exhausted everything I know that is an option. I’ve tried the take it out try again several times however it did it before I took it appart

  3. Afternoon - I am looking for a inner barrel with a length between 650mm to 695mm and a bore of 6.05mm minimum. Any suggestions on where to try as I’ve googled the nuts out of it and can’t find what I want

    😊

  4. Evening all

so My CYMA CM.057B (Dragunov SVD variant AEG) randomly is firing out two bbs with one trigger pull. It was doing it after game day one with zero modifications done. I’ve checked the bucking and this is in next to new condition. I have added a M120 spring and on .25g it’s achieving 1.6j. I’m using cyma svd mid cap mags as the hi cap that came with it broke on day one and I thought originally that may have been the issue. I’ve seen about drilling a 6mm grove into the top of the hop to help hold a bb in place but is this a legit solution ?

    What battery are you using?

Mine does that if I use an 11.1v, is fine on 7.4vs though.

    7.4v buddy

You'll want a non ported cylinder on an SVD, as the barrel is so long, you need as much air as you can get.

Have you done anything to it internally?

What battery and ammo are you using?

What style magazines are you using, and does it happen with all of them?

Is the bucking in good condition, or worn?

    Mid cap mags

0.25g as I’m waiting for 0.4g to be delivered

    7.4v

i have a high cap what come with it and two cyma mid caps that I brought. All do the same

bucking us in good order however it is the one that came with the gun

no other mods done just a new spring and the prob was there with the old one also

Do you mean that it goes "pew-pew-pew", or that it goes "pew" but three BBs dribble out together?

    Lmfao 🤣

it goes pew but two bbs come out one like the first splodge on the wife’s jubblies the second like the third haha

  6. It’s a nuprol defender. It’s got a six inch poly hand gaurd that splits into a top and bottom halves. The top half has forks which locator in a grove where the barrel nut (I think that’s what it’s called) site. The forks tho are crap and the tangs snapped hence the need now to replace.

Hmm--it could possibly be an issue with how the Retro arms gearbox aligned the nozzle to your hop unit, but at this point without further info I'd guess it's probably a subtly of installment or alignment. Put it back in the original box and let us know how it works!

So in the end I went back to the original gear box and the issue persisted.
however it looked like the nozzle was coming back to soon so I removed the delay chip and boom back up to fps as before. There are the odd inconsistencies but it played well on Sunday until the end of the last game when the Titan brought up a fault I’m yet to investigate but guessing it will be sensor related

  8. Cheers.
so the barrel is original but I’ve popped an omega nub and 60degree MAPLE Leaf macron bucking on it. This was before the gear box change when it was popping out around the 300 mark. I’ve started to build the old gear box back up and moved away from the retro one. It was laziness tbh as the retro one could easily take the Titan unit as it was gate ready however the old one I wasn’t sure about although it’s a King Arms so probs would of done. I had the split gb for another project previously and chose not to use it now I wish I hadn’t. The broken tooth is on the drive part of the gear not the actual cylinder loading section which I was confused with. Once I pop the old one back in I’ll check the results. The cylinder compression both with and without the nozzle is now excellent

  9. Standard M4 normal speed gears nothing to high speed nor torqued up. Think the ratio. Is 18:1 but not sure it was as in the mechbox. It’s had a Titan basic put in it, new tapet plate (old one snapped when separating the gearbox for fps loss investigation), new nozzle and cylinder head due to fps loss testing. That’s it though. When it was all together fps dropped from 305 to 100-120fps. I found the sector tooth broken by chance when looking to see if there was an issue with the Titan settings as it looked like it was pre cocking but it wasnt

  10. Afternoon all,

has anyone had any experience with the retro arms split v2?
I brought one as I thought it looked a handy idea and piped it together. I’ve found though a loss on fps when I’ve investigated things there was no obvious culprit however I’ve now found the sector gear has lost a tooth. I have already set up and spaced the gears and checked the AOE and it all looked good so I’m now stuck for ideas
