Hi guys, I’ve lost my thread protector and want to make a new one, does anyone have one which they can measure for me? if you have a SAI BLU that has the same thread protector and would work equally as well. thanks!

My worst gun has to be my Tokyo Marui XDM.45, the feed nozzle gets stuck in the feed lips, the return velocity of the recoil spring is variable depending on the weather and sometimes needs a solid palm to the rear to seat it into battery. When it does fire though, it's snappy as all fuck, basically a laser beam. Most of the time though you're locking the slide back, dropping the mag out and wondering why the fuck this thing still doesn't work before brutally slamming the slide forward to get it working again. Best gun has to be my Krytac Trident MK2, it may sound like a box of spanners smashing into each other, but it does just work. It's never skipped a beat, locked up once in it's whole life, has no modifications besides Maple Leaf bucking and ZCI hop unit. It's my backup gun that I know will just work no matter what, I have 10.3" and 5" upper receivers for it so no matter where I am playing it's always a usable backup gun whether it's CQB or outdoors. Only issue with it is it feels like a literal toy compared to my Cyma AKS74U and TM 416D Recoil. It's super light and has humorous proportions in places like the silly small charging handle. I took for granted that when I first started airsoft and bought a Krytac that despite not being the best, it was reliable, how I would love to go back to my guns just working...

Soooo, my AK piston head screw backed out mid-cycle...
Luckily it wedged it's self in between the spring and cylinder locking the piston back.
Opening the gearbox was a cunt but could have been much worse.

This is so weird, why would the retailer remove the trades from an NGRS and sell it cheaper? On the topic of painting though, I received a quote to do a pistol slide in Cerakote Graphite Black and that was only about 60gbp so I think if you wanted the upper and lower Cerakoting graphite black then it wouldn't be more than 150gbp. Also, you seem to have a habit of impulse buying without reading, remember when I got that sick deal on XDM.45 mags from you because you thought they were FNX mags 😆 😛

First time taking a gearbox apart and I swear to god this M95 spring is way to strong to get into the casing without exploding the internals everywhere. Am I missing something?

@Rogerborg I suggested spring replacement as a last attempt. I’ve personally seen springs from manufacturers like SHS be way out of spec. Not 200 FPS out of spec, mind you, but enough that it was concerning. (Rocket M120 = 460 FPS w/ 400mm inner and 3/4 cylinder w/ .20)
It’s way more likely to be a nozzle to packing seal issue.

Hi guys, I've just finished and published an early, but working version of my TM NGRS STANAG adapter for the ODIN Sidewinder. It really irked me that the only one available was being sold commercially with no option to even just buy the model for printing at home. As a result, I present to you the first open-source GPL licensed NGRS adapter for the Sidewinder, hopefully this offers a decent alternative to the existing adapter. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/odin-sidewinder-adapter-for-tokyo-marui-ngrs-stanag-magazine Please note that this is a really early version and is at the point of it working, there are some issues and feedback would be greatly appreciated! Known Issues: - No mag catch for the NGRS mag can eject the magazine as spring gets harder to depress (one is planed, but I am torn on to make it 3D printed or accept a standard metal AEG mag catch you can just buy) - Can't fully fill EPMs using knock-off ODINs due to lack of torque, I haven't test it on a genuine ODIN. This design was a complete from scratch design and does not infringe or replicate any of AirTac's adapter.

Eh. I "joined" years ago, but never got a single email. I very occasionally see something from them on Failbook, usually a week after the event they're promoting has already happened. If there's a way to get more engaged, it's not obvious.

It has a TITAN installed, and the latch it's self is very loose, I can easily actuate it with my finger in the magwell. It simply doesn't lock, if I put an empty mag in and fire it will not latch, even if I hold it up and fire it won't latch onto anything and stay like that. I can see in the TITAN software that the latch is triggering the bolt stop correctly as I can see it changing from "EMPTY" to "LOADED" when I move the switch around. A friend of mine who also has a 416D NGRS said that the bolt latch should catch on the tappet plate and hold the tappet plate back, is this true? If so, my latch doesn't catch the tappet plate.

If I wish to create a custom RSS feed for classifieds in the last 7 days as I have at https://airsoft-forums.uk/discover/76 I cannot subscribe to the RSS feed using the button as the /discover endpoint seems to require authorisation. Can this be made public so I can subscribe my viewer to the RSS XML that page generates? UPDATE: Never mind, loading on desktop allows generating a URL with a token in it for my particular user and accessing it "unauthenticated".

Hey guys, I’m having a little trouble with my NGRS bolt catch, it does seem to work in the sense that I’ve had it pop out the bolt catch and stop firing, but only once. It’s very unreliable, can someone fill me in on how it works and where to look for what’s causing the intermittency? I’m not sure exactly what bolt catch is on it but both previous owners are on here to maybe they know. I’ve attached an image from the listing I bought it from in case the first owner recognised it, the guy I bought it from is nice and helpful and says it works so I’m happy to persevere with it.

I have observed the differences with the "piston slap" phenomenon when having an empty vs loaded mag in, as well as when I forgot to add one of the two springs back onto the barrel to push the hop unit into the gearbox. Is there a piggyback mosfet I can use for pre-cocking or are my options to crack it open and use an ASTER V2?

Hi Guys, Hoping someone can shed some light on some of the sickening sounds my Krytac makes during cycling. I will pre-face this with when I bought the gun it was alredy second hand in mint condition boxed, it probably had about 2 skirmishes on it when I bought it and the upper had never been seperated from the lower so I know no one's had their hands inside it. However, despire being "the best out of the box AEG" (Which is fucking bollocks and I regret eveything about KRYTAC ownership and wish I'd just bought a CYMA AK) every time I pull the trigger it makes an okay gear sound and then a SLAM as the piston impacts the piston head, it also makes an awful twang at the end of a cycle which I think is the spring resonating on the spring guide. Does anyone else have experience with their Krytac souding like it's days and numbered and one day the piston head is going to just turn it's self to dust against the cylinder head? I am the point now where I am tentatively considering breaking it open to try and quieten it down because it honestly sounds damaging to fire, but as it's propritary as shit and like a $350 gun without decent guidance specific to Krytac it'll likely end up on the wall and being replaced with something that's one, the proper fucking scale (Nothing fits), and two not a house remorgaging oppurtunity to modify. The cost of the Krytac makes it bascially uneconomical to upgrade so it's days in my ownership might be numbered.

Is it just me or do Krytac make a concious effort to make their shit ever so slightly incompatible with real tools... MK2 upper won't fit in a standard vice block proprerly and the MK2 Trident barrel nut is slightly bigger than the M4 barrel tool I have... 🙃
