  1. I have the WE XDM compact and it's a cross between a glock 19 and a 1911. Comes with 2 mags(21 and 26), 3 mag spacers and backstraps and it cost £114. Feels good in the hand with the longer mag too
  2. Hmmm I think 800rpm is ample, 9.6v it is and I will buy a 9.6 crane type for a compact second battery.... Thankyou buddy!
  3. Yes it's just too wide to enter the tube and the top cover too, never had an ak type gun before hence never needed skinny batteries!
  4. Yes but it's very very hard to get the buttplate on
  5. Hi guys, I find myself in a situation and I really don't want to go the usual 8.4v stick battery route. The RS 56 can run on 2 batteries at the same time, I have several mini and mini stick batteries but none will fit in the guns compartments and I would really like to keep using 7.4v lipo's or even a 11.1v lipo(if possible?), I would even use a nunchuck type 9.6v battery. I have thought of the ris handguard and peq box method but that will put extra weight where I don't want it. Any idea's pls? Atb Andy
  6. I'm like skeeter, an airgun shooter and recently started skirmishing and it really is different when your target shoots back! As for guns, g&g and Cyma are very good budget guns, I have had a g&g cm16 and it's a good gun and I currently own a Cyma m14 which a great open area gun but a bit big for cqb but not impossible to use. I'm finding it quite addictive and very enjoyable!
  7. No sympathy as the orange tip was missing, he ignored the cops 2 warnings..... How on earth would something like UkARA help? It's like a kid taking a 2 tone and spraying it black and waving it around in a bank!!!
  8. Does anyone know where I can buy a real steel type 56 RIS handguard please? Been looking but all I get is polymer versions for cyma's and so on. Atb Andy
  9. Thanks for your help guys, I have ordered the lwa type 56 custom and can't wait to get it!!!!
  10. Me too buddy, never heard a bad word about any RS type 56 guns. Fell in love with the RS guns about 4 years ago purely down to the quality so I will go with my heart on this, the scorpion evo 3 is just too new and relatively untried at the minute so I have made my mind up,,, the type 56 it is.... Just got to find a shop that has one in stock lol!
  11. Ok it's down to 3 maybe 4 so thanks for the assist guys! 1. Real sword type 56 not sure which version. 2. Cz scorpion evo3 a1. 3. Alien pulse rifle. 4. Lct ak The scorpion looks like one serious bit of kit but still drawn to the rs56
  12. Mmmm I wasn't aware you could but as the rs56 is essentially a real gun outer body wise I guess it makes sense, now that is food for thought ... Thankyou buddy!!!!!!
  13. Sorry I thought I said I wanted aegs especially with cold weather coming and the limited firepower really puts me off but I didn't so my apologies. My local site is cqb and that will be my main site, MAW is 20 miles away. I really like the RS type 56 but there isn't a tactical model afaik so that's a no go, the bolt ris m4 is very viable as it has a recoiling action and is 11.1v ready I believe. The RS type 97 is just plain ugly and has no tactical rails so that's a no go.. I will say one thing for airsoft, there's loads of choice!!!
  14. Hi guys, basically as per title, I could have about £550 to spend on a new airsoft gun for cqb and open site, I really like the real sword type 56 range(yes I am an ak fan) but what else is out there as I have little experience in what's good and bad out there? Atb Andy
  15. I like cqb and woodland, my experience of cqb is at the towers FAO site, not cheap but well worth the money and it's my nearest site. Cqb does have a distinct advantage as regardless of the weather you are dry and relatively warm!
  16. Any military personnel be it Indian,Gurkha or wherever, if you were a part of the essential occupation like farming, police, we should remember them all... Fallen or not, each sacrificed something so that we can enjoy what freedom we have. Thank you to you all!!!!
  17. I use pro ball regular and bio and I must say they go well in every gun I have used them in. As you said they aren't expensive which I rink makes them a bargain.
  18. 2nd update ..... Put gun back to standard and the bloody thing is working fine again.... Leaving it alone and be happy with it!
  19. Update, I had the gun in bits and cleaned any debris out but it's still sparking and firing in safety, I think I will let the FAO tech look at it and buy another as I really do like these guns and leave it alone!
  20. Well this is a head scratcher...... I took the extending wires off and held the ends onto a nimh battery and it's still firing in safe so it can only be something on the gearbox/ fire selector/trigger.
  21. I did wrap all soldered joins in insulation tape, however I will try again later using an nimh battery.
  22. I'm pulling the gearbox later as I reckon something is in the trigger/fire selector area causing the short, if not I'll get the multimeter on it.
  23. I'm using a small peq box to house the battery giving more flexibility.
