  1. Sorry but any airsoft gun producing more than 1.1j is classed as an airgun and airguns are classed as unlicensed firearms if their power is below 12ft.lb for air rifles and 6ft.lbs for air pistols and higher than 1.1j. If you break the law with an airgun as defined above, you are prosecuted under firearms law. I have been shooting air rifles and pistols for over 25 years in most disciplines and have owned shotguns and used many firearms certificated firearms in my shooting life.
  2. Try looking at the A&K Dragunov svd springer, this one uses AEG barrels and springs and once you replace the hop up and barrel... It really is very accurate and a really good buy and you get 60rnd mags which are metal. I did those upgrades to my svd and I'm getting around 500fps with .20gr bb's. You say money is no object.... Get a real sword svd or a g&g m14 veteran.
  3. I believe that if you have a single shot rifle over 370fps with a .20 it's legally classed as an airgun and as such comes under firearms law hence two toning is not necessary.
  4. I do airgun target shooting and I used to do field target shooting too, regularly hit half inch spinners at 60 yards. Guess you can tell I loves my shooting lol
  5. I seem to recall that a few ex SAS lads did a training course at gunman midlands about 3 years ago, so if airsoft is a good training method for those guys then who the hell is arsse to comment?!
  6. Just an idea but have you thought about a secondhand real sword type 56 or 97?
  7. I own a g&g cm16 raider and the lightness is good in cqb games as you can snap the sights on someone very quickly for longer and it's easier to carry for longer. Don't disregard the combat machines as it's made from very good plastic which is better than some pot metal!
  8. Yes just getting back into it, got my first game day in 3 years on 27th sept at FAO the towers...... Seriously looking forward to it!
  9. Mine was an ICS m4 and I wish I kept it now but I never had time or money to get to more games!
  10. Gun Name and maker: king arms thompson m1a1 FPS: 260 on .25gr bb's. Hop up: yes Mag Capacity: 400+ Battery: not supplied Plastic/Metal/Both: full wood and metal construction. My opinion and overall comments: The woodwork(possibly walnut) on this gun is superb and the metal is very good too even though it is cast alloy going by the appearance. The trades are stamped in and aren't painted on like on the cheaper models. The weight and feel is superb as it feels solid and weighty. The hop up is very easy to access and adjust, the ROF compared to my g&g cm16 raider is just fantastic, I would feel sorry for anyone caught in the sights of this model on an 8.4v large battery as it just hoses your target with bb's. This brings me onto the accuracy which is very impressive at 100ft+. If you love the ww2 side of skirmishing then this is certainly viable. The downside to this gun is if you can't carry a heavy gun all day then this is not the gun for you but the plastic stocked version should be more suitable. However using a mini stick lipo 7.4v should take some weight off. It is also known for the barrel assembly to break off but there are people on ww2 re-enactment who machine steel parts to sort this issue out. The magazine can be a little fiddly and the metal mags can be pricey at £30 on eBay but there are plastic magazines available for around £15 on eBay. Overall rating: 9/10
  11. Got my new chargers and the tomtac lipo charger went for about 1.5hrs and the 2 cell lights went green so I seems like my kong charger was the problem. The IMAX b6 is currently charging one of my nimh batteries. I would like to say thankyou to all that helped me! Atb Andy
  12. Yes I do .. Very true and I have ordered 2 new chargers, one just for lipos and the other is combined.
  13. And my other nimh batteries too?
  14. I believe I did that and the multimeter registered just over 8v.
  15. It flashes for a few seconds then goes to a solid red, green light should show when fully charged but doesn't even after a few hours
  16. It flashes for a few seconds then goes to a solid red, green light should show when fully charged but doesn't even after a few hours
  17. Cool thanks, I got the choice of 2 to lend and buy after I get my UkARA registration. Fell in love with one!
  18. Hi all, just a quick question .... Can an unregistered player use an RIF if it is borrowed til the 3 games/2 months rule is met? Atb Andy
  19. Tried again but this time I noted that the wall unit was cold as was the kong power charger and the battery too. The red light was showing solid The battery was plugged into the 7.4v port. Upon on starting the charge . The battery shows a steady flashing red then goes solid, it does this on all of my nimh and lipo batteries..... Only conclusion I can see is that the charger is faulty.
  20. Mine was a little tight at first but it seems to be ok as the battery eject lever easily moves it.
  21. No white lead on my battery,, only the main connecting wire and the smaller plug. I have tried charging other batteries but the batteries both lipo and nimh died quite fast hence my suspicion of the faulty charger. I have ordered one on eBay, if I'm right I need a new charger and if I'm wrong I will have a spare and it's good to have a spare!
  22. Only used the small lead for nimh batteries, I plug the lipo directly into the small 3 pin rectangular port
  23. I have a Cyma glock running on a lipo and it makes it shoot faster and a better trigger response.
  24. I use a speedloader with my cm030 and it's 90 end mags.
