  1. Back to Square one as the saying goes. RIF stuffed, broken finger, strained back, kidneys trying to escape and to round it off, I had a bout of something that had me vomiting and retching that hard, I am sure I saw my own arsehole. It was the retching that screwed my lower back up, which wasn't nice. I now need to get back in to shape after being out of action for 2 months.
  2. I spoke to a gun tech who advised me about a problem with stripping down and gear boxes flying apart... So I will be taking it slowly.
  3. Addendum to original post. In the same game, I had been shot in my index finger and it was painful. Had been hit several times before, yes it stings but this was another pain level, it was like being hit with a hammer. It was painful to touch for days, I was lucky to have a prebooked doctors appointment for some other follow up the week after the game I had played and showed the doc who after careful examination said... "Ohhh, that is a fracture callus..." Still have a lump of bone where it was hit.
  4. These new rules have issues already that one Youtuber, a barrister has pointed out, the people with assistance dogs, then I posted a comment about the visually impaired and blind who have no assistance dogs as well as drivers who have literally the minimum vision to be able to drive... Last week I had to put in to practice the new junction rule, nearly had the car behind me rear end me.
  5. This is an example of what I am talking about with tubers... You see it complete on the bench and jump cut to (around 2:50 to 2:58)... broke down. Just not helpful if you see what I mean. What I want to see is that breakdown process and steps to get that step... Also, I keep on asking youtube for WARTHOG CG16 and it keeps on shoving WILDHOG in my face... and its just a total **nt like it normally is. Why others get to the videos they want is baffling, so if you have a video link to someone who isn't jump cutting, then please can you share the link please.
  6. I will have a go at breaking it down, I got a gunsmiths hammer and pin set removal tools as my external examination of the upper appears that the shroud and barrel need to be removed in addition to removal of pins to release the internals. Will see how it goes, I got to make room in my flat to put up a work table for this task My next question is... the parts. Suggestions as I was told that the piston is the most likely part where the ratchet on the piston has been stripped. I have also been told that it may just be that the advance was not set properly and as each actuation over time has led to the catchment disengaging with the piston, so it sounds like it wants to fire but zero movement on the piston in both scenarios. So will have to see what it is. Thanks for your input, it is a helpful guide to the steps, will have to see how much it deviates as I am finding that the GC16 is not like others in the G&G range.
  7. I have a G&G GC16 Warthog, I need to strip it to see what broke in it. Any "How 2" guides about? Youtube has not been much help as most are american videos and they start where the thing is stripped down to parts but not the process of how to break the RIF down. A little help, Thanks.
  8. I have ascertained that the law says different, we all have 12 month warranty on any purchase. I will be writing to the company regarding what the law says. Would you expect to pay £1,000 a year for airsoft RIF's if they only lasted 3 to 6 months at a time? ... thought not. So to be clear on this, TRADING STANDARDS have started that the CONSUMER RIGHTS ACT is in play here and it is defective, the expectation to get a longer service is pretty much a given. My sons GC16 is 4 months older and still going strong and he abuses his something rotten, mine has been treated well, is not trigger spammed, quite what that has to do with a piston failure... Like Air guns, a RIF can be as much or more than an air gun, yet you buy an air gun from a gunsmith and you get full back up and warranty cover by the manufacturer which is what this warranty claim would be under. It is up to the shop to repair it as they are the agent for the manufacturer, it is up to them to repair or send it back for repair and its obviously more cost effective to get the repair in the shop over the shipping costs that they would have to pay out of pocket. So again, I reiterated, the LAW says my rights are that I can reject the goods and get a replacement, a repair and a part refund. Those were the options presented to me by trading standards.
  9. Consider that I have been out once every 2 weeks, the maximum number of games I can physically have played is 14 games, the RIF was bought in (late July after double checking)... or about 14 to a maximum of 16 games, all at the same game site. The fact I have had it 6 or just over 6 months doesn't come in to it, trading standards states that they have the right to reject the goods based on quality of build and reasonable expectations to wear and provide a repair or replace, warranty as side, the law doesn't differentiate if its £1 to £100,000 the re is a reasonable expectation to quality of build and to work as expected as well as longevity. So let the battle of rights begin...
  10. What is reasonable wear and tear for an airsoft RIF? I purchased a G&G GC16 back in June 2021, Sunday it died after one hour of game play. The consensus is that the motor spins and the gears are spinning, the piston is not engaging. What other reason can there be for a RIF to fail? Can a spring be the issue? I called the shop and got some BS comment about warranty "Only if it is never fired" yet this item died and I would expect at least 3 or 4 years out of it at the level I play at, being twice a month, so about 14 odd times...
  11. I know that has always been the case of looking out for pedestrians and pedestrians had the care of duty to other road users to check that the road is clear before crossing. I can foresee a number of idiots taking this new rule to the extreme to then make false claims against drivers. A DASH camera is no more important than ever before... The point I was making initially was that there is always someone who will try something, I been around far too long to have seen the same tricks pulled time and time again and this is only going to lead to insurance claims and prosecutions and people being run over and taking their chances with joining the harp farm.
  12. The fact of the changes will allow those types to give the new legislation a go and not bother with looking and I expect a few people to get run over.
  13. The changes in the highway code and legislation to back it up... pay attention as you could end up being fined.
  14. you hover over the points and it tells you the dates, then you search for public events / protest / mass gathering around that date and then count back -7 to 10 days. If you visited the graph and interacted with it, you would see that is is also actual data of people hospitalise, you can even flip the graph mode to show the death rates in a similar method. Either way, the graph is more accurate than the pile of that the news services were using, very misleading graphs they are even though its exactly the same data, these are presented in a axis format that makes for easier reading of the data. The graph line is time not an axis, both the axis are total confirmed cases vs weekly cases and it results in that type of graph when you make the plots the dates and not use the date like the news did. Go play with it and see how it works, try looking up things that happened in those weeks... the facts speak clearly and if you don't see it, not my problem you didn't pay attention in school.
  15. This graph plots the data in a way that shows the real data on how the COVID pandemic is trending in the population with infections. https://aatishb.com/covidtrends/?location=United+Kingdom The way this graph is read is simple, the line that is now plummeting down needs to hit the bottom of the graph in a vertical line, if it moves in any direction other than down, we are not over this... Current restrictions assume that there is not going to be another variant after this one that is displacing all previous variants. So we may see this tame down to that of influenza levels (which is still dangerous to your health, people do die from the flu). On that graph you can see the times we nearly made it throug, those new peaks that followed, after each dip, was down to these woke muppets protesting about climate change, insulating Britain and then the anti lock down protests, the vaccination protesters, the BLM lot kicking off about statues and that first one is the BLM George Floyd protests in the UK. There is a direct correlation to group gatherings and peaks. If you watch that graph over the next week, if it still keeps on going down off the chart in a vertical fashion, then for this variant at least, we will be over it.
  16. Somebody who was woke in all likelihood, people get their knickers in a twist over Airsoft. Some see it as promoting violence, like the feminists who oppose violence and will flag anything that they disprove of. The item was removed as I know from the site owners message about the removal citing rules which I do expect them to retrospectively change to include the word "gun(s) or similar". I suggested that they ban all sports equipment as airsoft guns are items of sporting equipment.
  17. https://www.jigidi.com/ I posted a picture and turned it in to a jigsaw. It got removed because it was a gun.... So I corrected them... Maybe they need a lesson in SPORTS EQUIPMENT
  18. Thanks for all the feedback, a lot of help there with options.
  19. Well all OK, the eye doctor said that the eye has been grazed and will be ok in a week. I got seen very quickly despite a member of staff saying that they are short on staff from illness. As for the graze, it was caused by the force of the BB on the bottom eye lid, its going to be uncomfortable for about a week. So all good in the end. I am looking in to face masks as I want one for my son to use with his glasses and it needs to be full face and found a helmet with a full face attachment, only I had to send it back because the rails were a bit Janky. It really needs to be the fast helmet type as well... So I may be asking lots of questions in the near future...
  20. I do not recommend anyone taking the prescription safety glasses route wit the Riley brand. https://www.riley-eyewear.com/swarm Two Reasons. 1. They have a trim that is not moulded but "clips" to the main safety frame, this (sides) will come off easily. (The grey 'flare' bits by the arms pop off) 2. I am off to eye casualty after last nights game, someone had a spicy RIF and a BB was able to get under the safety barrier and hit me in my eye. I have had to wait all night to book in at 7am and wait to be called in by them. So no matter how much your optician tells you that these give all round face hugging eye protection, its BS. The fact that a BB can get in from hitting my cheek bone at the eye socket, make its way under the rubber seal, to me is clear indication that they are not in anyway suitable for airsoft. They were not cheap either, £165 from Vision Express. Not exactly express either as it took 3 weeks to get them to start with.
  21. I go for cars insurance lets me drive cheap. For years I was only able to drive small fiats until my insurance premiums fell from £749 to £449 for third party. The reason the insurance claim was local crime. I failed to see how anti-social neighbours equates to the inflated insurance prices. After a few years I found that they were then saying, no, its £800 a year to insure a 1.2L Fiat Punto, yet they were also telling me that I could have 1.6L injection Tipo (fiat) that was lierally half as big a car again... for ony £399 fully comprehensive. I now drive a bigger car because the insurance again is cheaper, this time its £525 fully comprehensive with breakdown and legal cover for an MPV (size of a decent courier van) which is handy for transporting game equipment. to game sites.
