  1. Not really, Bravo were not taking their hits. Several times I and the others in the group we formed launched an attack on places where Bravo had hidden in bushes and they didn't take their hits despite seeing the BB's bouncing of them and they retreated, this was near the trenches. Players from their time out respawning were not following the rules, they would sit for a minute and then off out again. Many players were not indicating if they were hit or in play and as soon as you went to shoot they would put their hands up but then jump into the bishes. There is winning with honourable play and there is winning by cheating... Big difference.
  2. I am not complaining about being shot at, I am complaining at dirty play. Dirty as in you don't just hit the target but you keep on firing and don't take hits and take shots intentionally to hurt like in the groin and eye shots specifically aimed at the eyepro as well as that other shitty move of shooting hands. There is a rule of etiquette in the game, even if its not written down, there are something you don't engage in and if you do then you are the problem with the game. As for HPA, there were not that many HPA at the event.
  3. You're not wrong there, some butt heads near to me were firing off BB's in the camping area. I have asked ZO in the past to have all campers to have a tent tag to identify those that are morons that live among us. Bit of dirty play, several times I had hits to the eyes, the bad actors tended to be Bravo group just like last year and the year before that.
  4. Great idea, however I don't want to ruin the case because at some point I will likely want to sell the thing, even if its for £25 after a year of use, and selling something with a screw sticking out the case doesn't look good. I will look at possibly an internal mod based off your suggestion. It got me wondering if all it needs is a solder job to stop full auto and wire up single shot only option...
  5. Originally the only opticians in Nottingham that had the suppliers and facilities to make my sons prescription were Lancaster & Thorpe, they sold out to Vision Express after around 6 years which meant that VE were the only opticians with the facilities, luckily some 10 years later, other opticians have the facilities to manufacture the lenses. L & T were a small regional opticians which were very customer satisfaction oriented, unfortunately they shut up shop and sold out to VE... VE are very profit oriented.
  6. My son goes to hospital because he is visually impaired. He had his natural lenses removed at 3 weeks old so that he could have some vision because he had congenital cataracts. So he was medically disabled to give him some sight with glasses but without glasses he is blind, had he not had the operation he would be blind. I could understand the justification had my lad just got bad eyesight and still had his own lenses but to hold a person to ransom who would be blind without eye correction through glasses is utterly disgusting. His vouchers from the hospital cover £220 of the cost and Vision Express wanted £385 on top of that, os they were trying to say that his glasses were £605 a pair. It felt like when you take your car to be repaired and the garage don't want the work and they price the job like £600 for a £200 job.
  7. Thanks for that. I bought a cheap rifle for guests that come with me and my lad to use as I was getting fed up of the G&G's getting dinged up. I would like an aftermarket ETU in there that ensures that its single shot only as most sites operate single shot only because these rifles (any make really) can easily end up on full auto during game play plus the PERUN's are very energy efficient and in the G&G's we went from two batteries per session to one battery per session.
  8. Of all the robbing so-n-so's today they wanted £385 for a pair of glasses that my sons NHS voucher in the past has completely covered the cost of lenses and frames. After shopping around, exactly the same style frames and size of lenses in Specsavers, total bill £69.50 I know where I am going when its time for my next eye test.
  9. Yes, however, you see the thumbnail, the tag line, then the intro, then they waffle about the piece and what they are going to fit, shoe the ETU and then next shot the whole thing is stripped down with no "How to" get into the rifle without doing damage or having the gearbox fly apart. Then the rverse, the ETU is magically installed and then the gearbox is rebuilt like magic and then the unit is back together with a demo of it in action... When I specifically search for "Fit ETU to SA-F01" this is what I get, reviews of specific videos on the bigger brother the F02 and F03... I'm thinking more along the lines of handing it over to a gun tech I know to fit the item.
  10. Thanks, I will look into the suggestions. All I need is a tutorial on stripping it down to install a better ETU.
  11. I didn't start it, I posted up what happened and I was then met with scorn and hate from that section of the community that can't see the bigger picture. Yeah I know there are dicks everywhere, what I do is educate them and they do change however, seems that HPA players don't and this is why the problem persists. An AEG player trying to educate a HPA player gets met with a "Talk to the hand" scenario and you're seen as playing with boys toys not mens toys. So its also an attitude thing from a lot of the HPA community. Personally I have no interest in HPA or going there, mainly because it screws up being able to swap handedness in game as I am an ambidextrous player and shoot just as well lefty as I do righty. I have been teaching my son to play both handed and it is an advantage when you have players that use HPA who are stuck righty game play. In your opinion and your attitude says a lot about you as a person, I brought to light an incident on my game day and you started with others stomping all over that experience without regard for the fact it happened. Sounds more like you and the other guys are more sore and salty about it than I am over the bringing to light an issue within your precious HPA community.
  12. No, just HPA hits. For those suggesting I am in the wrong game, think again, I have been shot point blank in the back, arms, hands, face and got nothing like what I get off HPA, my own son tri shot shotgun point blank in the neck (a springer) nothing but red marks. HPA from 20 or 30 meters, I get nasty welts, broken skin, bruising and have had broken fingers. The last game I went to and got those injuries at, the 4 kids playing who were guests of a member at a members only day were complaining about how some of the shots were really hurting compared to others that just stung. Its not just me, its other players that complain. The issue is that there is a core of HPA players that don't like taking their hits, pad themselves up as well but don't mind dishing out the pain, so any suggestion that I am in the wrong game, think again, its the HPA players that insist on ruining hot rigs, the funny thing is the other HPA players at the same game, their hots didn't hurt half as much as those guys that were running hot guns...
  13. The legal maximum is 1.3 Joules with an AEG, AEP, CO2, HPA rig, that means 373fps on 0.2g and all sites I have been to limit their site speed limits to 350fps max or 1.1 Joules. That means on a 0.25g bb the fps limit is 335fps on 1.3 Joules but given that the weight is higher, that most sites operate a 1.1 Joule~ish limit, brings that down to around 303fps. The difference being that HPA carries power better, I have never had broken skin, bruises from or bleeding from an AEG even at point blank range, however, with HPA I have had wounds that bleed, bruise and equipment broken and broken fingers from HPA as well as having my eye protection broken. It seems that HPA players can't accept the facts. People saying I am posting rubbish again are talking out their rears too. Unless the responsible HPA players get a grip of the problem players and point out that they are a problem in the game, it won't be long before government legislates for and imposes limits on HPA or bans it. What would you prefer? Lowering your Joule power or have some pencil neck in whitehall ban your equipment and you have to start all over again?
  14. What... from 30 meters? I seriously doubt that.
