  1. Nice pic.
  2. Me fannying about like a saddo whilst the family were all asleep and playing with a photo editor for the first time. Current loadout, as posted a few days ago. Tried to mix a bit of Boba Fett with Master Chief/ODST, Starship Troopers and Unreal Tournament whilst remaining unique, very practical/usable and without spending shit tons of moolah on posh cosplay gear that would be a nightmare to run about the woods in. Eat my UAR! Unreal Tournament 2004-style profile pic. An "oh shit, there's a Xenomorph" pose. That moment before merry hell kicks off and the smart guns light up... All good fun, this cosplaysoft. Might do some more soon.
  3. It certainly is. "Does not come with a Mag." So in other words... its useless. And 200 quid. What's the point?
  4. Personally, if the piece had blown a fuse or was jamming I'd replace/fix. I totally understand the logic behind what I'd term "breakers" - I.e. shagged beyond mercy and fit for parts only - happens with cars also, however the difference is I see airsoft stuff retailing at not far off full price when it's either a) completely fucked or b) a "simple fix" that the seller clearly can't be arsed implementing. Either way, I just cant see the logic in this market for almost-full-price stock that, quite frankly, is not in sellable condition.
  5. All personal taste I suppose. I love bullpups for example. Some think they are awkward, fugly, cursed contraptions. We've all got our tastes. I always thought the Walther P99 looked pretty futuristic. Has that compact, angular, spacey vibe that would fit right in to a Pelican dropship Pilot's loadout...
  6. Maybe I'm naive here. But I really don't get the "boneyard" concept in airsoft...why is so much airsoft gear (mainly guns and mags) sold when it could be only described as "fucked"??? I wouldn't even dream of selling (or buying) anything that wasn't in 100% working condition. Imagine going to buy a used car. Theres a three year old Mondeo for sale at full RRP (bizarrely). It only runs on three cylinders, half the front bumper is missing, the aircon is shagged, two of the tyres are bare and the brakes are juddering, but don't worry, the owner reassures you "its a simple fix mate". Nope, neither would I. Whether it was a hoover, a Honda Civic or an airsoft gun, if its pumped, its not fit for retail. Sorry. Fix it, then sell it.
  7. I like it. Kind of 1911-meets-Deagle. My two favourite pistols in one! ? The double rail upper and lower makes it very cool IMO. Looks like something from Doom.
  8. Yep it's deliberate all right. 1) Certain elements of industry with unsustainable/unrealistic business models are unhappy that their support of endless cheap labour has been staved off. E.g. the haulage industry (driven by the likes of Hoyer). Therefore the present manufactured "crisis" has been weaponised in an attempt to force a change in policy. 2) Government fuck-ups in all areas of life due to genuine catastrophic bungling incompetence having a knock-on affect in... all areas of life. 3) China wants to rule the world. 4) The media craving to make news and policy rather than just report it.
  9. Nice. I do like the 177. I bought three very basic short VN-style Battleaxe mid-caps from PB a while back to use with the 933. Plastic and only about 5 or 6 quid each. Basic but they work very well. Keep meaning to mod the UAR so I can use them with it too.
  10. Noticing increasingly long lead times on all manner of items, caused by global logistics issues which in turn were caused by almost two years of disruption whilst the world was stopped for a virus. Shipping container prices have increased by multiple factors, constraining supply and increasing costs massively. Meanwhile idiot lockdown-obsessed governments all over the world are learning the hard way that you can't just turn business and logistics on-and-off like a tap. Things take time to ramp up up again after such sudden and unusual disruption. UK-specific issues adding to the mix include Border Farce and the HMRC/Civil Serpent leeches, an aviation industry still recovering from paralysis whilst simultaneously being hammered by Boris' green bollocks, road transport issues caused by state incompetence and corporate greed (shit wages/Ts&Cs) and an entirely manufactured fuel supply "crisis" that has literally been invented from thin air. These issues will continue for some time.
  11. CQB training? Watch Aliens. Plenty of lessons there, good and bad. Remember, short, controlled bursts... /Thread
  12. Oops. Just noticed that... maybe it was a gift from ma n' pa. In fairness I actually got my springer from BBG4L as it was a) cheap (was looking for an inexpensive, basic backup pistol in case the rifle packed in mid-skirm), b) the usually extortionate delivery to the Highlands & Islands (yes, looking right at you, Patrol Base and others) was very reasonably priced for a change and c) the product was delivered correctly, on-time and with no fuss. Most of their stock is Chinesium bargain-basement keech that I wouldn't touch with a bayonetted Moisin-Nagant, however the wee Galaxy springers I happen to enjoy.
  13. Nothing wrong with the CYMA... save your money and stick with that ? Just add a half decent sight and sniper tape, jobs a goodun.
  14. My three repaints courtesy of Halfords Matt OD (good stuff, nice colour & proving fairly durable). UAR w/4x sight, LT M933, springer Galaxy 1911 that is ridiculously good fun. A mate gifted me a DE M56B tri-shot a couple of days ago that I look forward to integrating into my loadout. Its 2-tone blue but I'm not fussed at that.
  15. Ah I see. That's a shame. I always fancied one being a massive Aliens/USCM fan but didn't have the money and found the Tommy ergonomics and mags a bit impractical for skirms. Went for a UAR instead for the sci fi look and the ergonomics. Fancied an XR5 but hard to get hold of and ended up liking the bullpup format for the compactness.
  16. Eezer Goode's latest loadout iteration. Laid out as couldn't be arsed getting all tarted up for a posey shot. Influences:- Halo, Doom, Aliens, Starship Troopers, Unreal Tournament. Flight Suit, Tac Vest, Knee/Elbow/Shoulder pads, Shemagh, Summer motorcycle gloves, Beret (homage to Malcolm from UT2004). Motorcycle boots and Bolle Pilot's for eye pro (not pictured). UAR with 4x sight and springer 1911 for SHTF. Also run an LT933 and a DE M56B kept handy for close encounters.
  17. @paradoxum I'm liking the "Broadsword". Very tacticool and modern. Do you still have the Pulse Rifle?
  18. After looking at a few options, decided to order a UAR, having fancied one for a while. Was considering a JG SG550 but went for the bullpup as its compact and something a bit different. Next fortnight will pass rather slowly as I await its arrival... Just as well as my M933 is playing up, inconsistent FPS (all over the place but consistently low) so I've contacted the vendor under warranty to see if it can get sorted. Had to miss some skirmishes recently due to a trapped nerve and now this. Buggeration.
  19. I like the G3, nice gnu.
  20. So would I! At least its an original loadout! Needs a pink pistol with it though ?
  21. Haha ? they're my kneeboards for taking notes etc in the cockpit with a chinagraph. They'll be covered up and put to use (site map on one, the other will have an OD insert and used for notes as normal)
  22. 125cc's V2.0 loadout. Flying suit for a slightly more sci-fi look. Trying it out at skirmish on the 11th. Which one I decide to wear will be weather dependant ? P.S. excuse the yellow laces. They're the boots I use on the motorbike...
  23. Liking the MP5s and the G36 with the suppressor. ?
  24. I don't deny it... the old adage of "you get what you pay for" is true in all walks of life, I have never tried a TM but am pretty sure they will be far, far superior to any 100-quid CYMA or LT that green rookies like meself wield! Anyway, sorry for derailing the thread everyone... back on topic and all that.
