Ffs. One day I’ll actually get it…..
-
I believe it is 1.13 JOULES (!!) for auto capable rifs…(The boys will be ooh so proud of me!)

Dh mod is generally used in ghk platforms, where the outlet valve is replaced to hold the pressure of liquid CO2. The magazine can then be filled using something like a sodastream bottle. This is supposed to be 1. cost effective 2. usable all year round but can wear stock fcg, bolts, bolt stops fast. Has also been known to eventually blow you spring etc out the end of the buffer tube/ receiver extension!!

Thanks brother. I’ve always preferred the long gun, they are simply ‘classic’; I think the mixed bag ‘task force black’ load outs are the best looking too, though and will probably search out another mich type helmet n goggles at some point!! -

Weeelllllllllllll, its real steel version is actually British…hence the ‘L’ 119 designation… but I will concede they are manufactured by Colt Canada…. -

There’s always one! But I’ll take it, thanks! -
Just felt like posting a pic or two…since my G&p A1 receiver bought it in the flames, I just had the ‘burning’ desire to create a new version. Managed to literally dig from the embers, my army code barrel AND front sight!!! And decided to go gbb. I also had an a2 gbb but that wasn’t so fortunate, and is one for the nice insurance man to sort. anyways, just the upper mods to do and the engraving…. For the purists out there; my G&p thumbscrew mount acog is cremated so this will have to do atm, and for reference, the peq-2 is an invisiblesight IR version I was lucky to have safe at my son’s.

Sorry been out of the loop…. the battery was an unskirmished 11.4v 1200mah bought in uk. It was being charged on a good quality programmable balance charger. Ok, the charger is over 10 years old?! I HAD 2 of these batteries, both stored in their own hard plastic boxes that they came in. I’ve had lipos for years and am aware of how delicate they can be. I’ve had a couple puff, and I’ve had to Chuck one quickly across the the garden smoking as as it went due to roughly pulling it from a stock tube. But the battery in question was used only to chrono aegs. but I’ve learned a valuable lesson. As discussed ^^; use a bag or a metal box, and do not leave them unattended. EVER. Seriously I could have lost my son. Nothing, not even airsoft is worth THAT risk.

@Shamaldude what an amazing and friendly offer. Atm my ukara is lapsed, otherwise I’d bite yer hand off! Nice one, thanks bud.

He dude. Welcome to a world of fun. I’m no where near you, but would say, get yourself along to a site near you and I guarantee you will wish you had done so sooner. I guarantee it. Most airsofters are welcoming and inclusive, irrespective of your personal perception of yourself. just go. You will not regret it. good times mate.

Right. Wasn’t gonna talk about this, didn’t particularly think anyone would give a crap, and basically I’m a reasonably private person. however, in May I had a lipo failure in my bedroom, which could have easily killed my son who nearly got trapped in the shower. I almost passed out from smoke inhalation, trying to put it out. House was gutted within ten minutes of finding it. Fire service were training that night and were there in like ten minutes, and basically saved the shell. Luckily the insurance company have paid up and we should be back in by January. ive had lipo batteries for like over ten years for my rifs, never never had a problem til this. moral of the story should be : respect lipo s. always charge them in a metal box or proper bag near your back door or something. I’ll post some pic at some point. plug: if anyone has a ksc sig p226 - mine is screwed! Right. Not trying to start (another) argument, but I was looking at the nuance between 47 & 74 gas blocks the other day. What I noticed is that the Tm akm gas block looks , well … wrong? They seem to have straightened it. Traditional 47 has a curved front to the 45 degree sweep, as opposed to the 90 degree 74. Anyone else noticed this?

And of course you get 3 spare correct magazines in the price. hmmm starting to convince my self I need this…..
-
Ak 101. although early model 74 look strikingly similar to the akm, in that they both have fixed stock and wooden furniture; apart from chambering different rounds, the main visual ‘tell’ is the gas block: Ak47 have a distinctive curve whereas the 74 has more of a vertical stature. this being the pmc akm, I would quite easily see someone buying this and selling the five 74 mags and the furniture and gas tube for say £275. And setting it back in pic mode, leaving them with a perfectly respectably upgrade rif for £325. don’t sound like too bad a deal when you break it down? Yeah yeah why don’t I but it? Ghk baby….
-
Dunno about that…. Had one years ago: gearbox was very “twangy “, trigger was mushy, annoyingly the bolt cover used to flop around letting debris get in. Took it apart to fiddle with it and ultimately put it in the bin. Very disappointed. Cheap and nasty rif.

Best out of the box AEG Rifle for <£500?

Any rif can be upgraded. Had a cyma which could hit a person at 75yards with good success rates. but as OP asked, out of the box TM hands down. -

Best out of the box rif I ever owned was the TM m14. Decent length inner barrel and great hop set up. Do it. Dooo iiit!
