Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread
MistakenMexican replied to Mack's topic in General Discussion
Seen on a WhatsApp sales group - Someone else has defends the bonkers price by suggesting that Nicco is the Michael Jordan of Airsoft and that’s why you’d pay so much for a gun he’s touched! -
So mine arrived on the weekend. i ordered two however that hasn’t panned out. One arrived with a factory defect (cracked nozzle). The second one is below. I’ve put a SCW stock on it. Seems to cycle well on ultrair at room temp. Haven’t tested the power or consistency of shots as the one I’m planning on changing the inner barrel and hop rubber soon. largely MWS compatible. MWS hop unit, MWS BCG, MWS trigger box, MWS spec stock tube.

Full steel Loki Tactical cerakoted in Armourer black by West Laser! the slide was lost in the post by RM… however Joe managed to get the whole job turned around and to my door in 48 hours after they found the package and delivered to him. its quite snappy for such a heavy (G34 length) slide and comp.

tools I’d recommend: - Decent multi-head screw driver - I have a 100 piece Aldi one that so far hasn’t lacked in type or size of fixture head. - get two decent valve keys - not the all in one triangle ones: output valve key injection valve key - silicone oil for rubber and plastic parts. I use a GHK gbbr oil which I personally think is the best around. some sort of metal lubricant. I use white - lithium but that’s not the only option. gas wise - depends on the pistol you buy, but for plinking in the garden and a Marui. Ultra air is very cheap in bulk and will run the HK45 fine. 25s are fine as well. Never tried the brand you’ve mentioned but I assume they’re half decent.

You won’t get 50fps increase. As @herosharksaid, you’ll typically get 10fps. depending on the shape of the nozzle, you can get negative efficiency effects as the nineball router is curved and maybe TM clones (like WE) use a flat router, creating an airseal problem. personally, if you’re experiencing things like hammer failures as stock, I’d avoid fitting the gas routers and look at upgrading the weak points of the pistol such as the hammer set.

Another one I finished last night: 10-8 G19 Gen4. C&C Tac KKM barrel. Using the TTI hops in just about everything I build.
-
Complete Guarder Steel G34. Built this from nothing with almost entirely steel parts. Went with a TTI hop unit as they’re substantially better than the OEM style hops. I plan on using this for CQB games, so it has tritium sights as well.

Entry for the week and it’s only Monday 😭 £1100 for a used and abused MWS with cosmetic damage and issues 🤣 I also love the backchat and sass to members trying to save him from a ban 😂 -
This crossed my path this morning. Ended up pre-ordering one through JKArmy given the price and potential. It looks like an interesting concept - an MWS rifle using TM hicapa mags. https://shop.jkarmy.com/sa-pcc-h75-bk.html Won’t be released until January, so I probably won’t receive mine until late January/February. But I thought I’d create a thread to talk about it.

I always interpreted it as a “production calendar”. maybe that’s wrong, but it logically made sense to me. they ear marked November 2023 (or whenever it was) to produce the Gen5. By the time it was despatched to retailers, it was January. They then ear marked Most of the gen5s will have gone to the Japanese market before being opened to international distributors. As far as I can tell from the TM website, there’s been no batch of gen5s this year. It’s probably residual stock they’re trickling out to distributors.

I doubt they will have re-engineered the gen4. They’ll have just re-produced it to the original spec. It was very good at the time and still pretty decent even with the improvements of the gen5. Seems like a lot of added cost.

So not necessarily gun related, but gear related. Printed this ornamental skull and stand to put an old facemask on 😃 Got the idea from an American company doing them.

His excuses don’t add up to me. sounds like the courier has lost two guns and he’s expecting PayPal to have helped him somehow… I could sympathise with him not wanting to post the RIF after that experience… but PayPal have no control over the postal system and will always side with the buyer if the goods never arrive. on the flip side, what he’s saying is - if it doesn’t arrive, he’s keeping the money and the the buyer is done for. -
My latest G19. Fitted the TTI hop unit which has produced some great results in every glock I’ve fitted it to. Onto the next one 😅 going to try a gen4 next.

Just keep in mind that if the seller has dropped it off at the post office and ordered the PF24 service, It’s 24 hrs from collection from PF, not 24 hrs from being dropped off at the post office. I had an upset buyer about a year back because I sent a RIF via PF48 and it took nearly a week to arrive with him. I live in a reasonably rural area, about an hour from the nearest PF depot. However my local post office is only a 15 minute drive. I dropped my PF consignment off at the post office on a Saturday, and PF didn’t pick it up until Wednesday. The tracking didn’t activate until it was scanned in by the PF courier… so from the customer’s end, it looked like I was messing them about. Even though I had a receipt to show it had been dropped off. He was patient and it worked out in the end. But it’s easy to understand why he got upset given he paid for 48hr shipping and it took 3 days to collect.

@Stevey293 The gen5 has a pivoting valve knocker. I’ve found Marui packed the hammer mechanisms with too much grease. This means the valve knocker doesn’t retract fully, and therefore is pivoted when ready to fire. It then glances off the output valve, creating a light strike. In my testing, the stock Marui hammer spring struggled with green gas at room temperature. I upgraded to the CCT 120% spring and it works fine. But struggled with Nuprol 3.0 in a warm room. So it might not be all that surprising that a stock hammer spring is light striking on guarder. On the gen4 or less, a warped hammer frame or hammer can create a light strike, regardless of how strong your hammer spring is.

Before I buy new, has anyone got a GHM9 SD kit or CNC GHM9 receiver for sale? Second hand value for the CNC receiver and SD kit would be about £55 each.£110

Postage was quite reasonable from memory. But international postage is still quite expensive right now.

Used then a lot. The only time I’ve ever been left waiting was some Taiwanese national holiday that lasted nearly a week 😂 can’t blame them though!
