  1. I invested in TTI lightweight mags. They’re about £30 a magazine but weight half that of a stock magazine. Means I can comfortably carry 8 mags for the same weight as 4 stock mags.
  2. Made an order with them last Friday and it was despatched the same day. I imagine they’re just busy or maybe the bloke who answers the emails and phone is on holiday? 😅
  3. I have two thoughts: Firstly, if he’s sold you broken kit, what else isn’t right about it all. Having a few of those glocks, it’s not easy to break the frame like that. So what else is broken? Second, if it was a genuine mistake, why wouldn’t he want to make it right? It’s quite easy to narrow down which advert you bought - given what was paid for the pistol, surely a few quid to keep everyone happy wouldn’t be a big deal? A new guarder frame for a gen3/4 is £40 at most. So I’d assume a £40 refund would have kept everyone happy? If you’ve paid via PayPal G&S - I’d take it to PayPal. Make sure you collect screenshots of the conversations to provide to PayPal as evidence you’ve tried to resolve this like adults. Take plenty of clear photos of the condition of the pistol as well. Everyone makes mistakes - I’ve sold a couple of pistols that I absolutely know where immaculate but “don't work” on arrival. Even had photos and videos to prove it. However, you could sit around and blame the seller or the buyer, but it doesn’t fix the problem. In those cases typically the seller would either offer a partial refund to the value of repairing the damage. Or a full refund for a return of the goods. Ultimately it’s a reputation thing. Personally I don’t want to be slated for being a conman or a scammer, so I’d do what I could to keep the buyer happy. The fact he has no photos and he’s taken down the advert raises red flags to me. I mark adverts as complete/sold and I still have photos of sales from 8 weeks ago. If he can’t prove it was immaculate before sending it to you, I’d imagine you have a strong case with PayPal.
  4. To be fair, if we’re sharing tips on how to bodge it 🤣 I’d recommend fuel resistant gasket sealant. A liberal application around the inner edge of the magazine shell, then fit the base and insert the pins. Wipe off the excess and leave to cure (typically 24-48hrs). I’ve used this bodge on a few gas rifle mags with awkward o-ring sizes and it lasts a few months. With any of these bodges, they eventually fail.
  5. That’s the end of your recoil rod. The notched bit locks into the recoil rod. The groove on the flat end is where it sits in the hop unit. Drop me a message if you need more help.
  6. they’ll take very similar o-rings to the gen 1 mags - I’ve repaired all of mine using the nitrile o-rings off AliExpress. https://a.aliexpress.com/_EwqFA8M if it’s only the bases leaking, you want the 21 x 2.4mm o-rings. You can find them on AliExpress of a couple of quid for a pack of 10. They’re a b*stard to get back together as the repair o-rings are approximately 0.4mm thicker. However, so won’t leak again as the fit is so tight. alternatively you could try soaking the OEM orings in boiling water. I find this is an urban myth personally… but several people swear by it. It apparently expands the oring back to its original size.
  7. someone from MOD has been browsing AliExpress for ideas…
  8. £1700? Those are rookie numbers. Remember when RA-TECH were selling an M14 EBR GBBR for £3k? And it didn’t even work out of the box 🤣
  9. Have a look at hicapahub.co.uk
  10. Nearly fell off my chair when I saw the price 🤣🤣
  11. well that can’t be unseen 😭
  12. credit where credit is due- £300 isn’t a mental price given what you’re offering in one package 👍🏽 also, the FI trigger is pretty mint.
  13. I’d still rather work on a GBB mechanism than a NGRS. I hear that when you open an NGRS, the soul of a Japanese Airsoft tech leaves the receiver. You have to sacrifice another one to be able to seal his soul back into the receiver when closing it, otherwise it will never work again.
  14. Eventually someone was going to get triggered 🤣 He’s been a spoil sport and dropped the price by £100 😆
  15. There’s a rumour going around that TM have unblocked the legal/production/rumoured issue that is preventing them from producing more gen5s. I personally think people have heard that rumour and are trying to cash in their chips against naive people… personally I’d ban people doing that sort of unethical profiteering. But it’s not my circus.
  16. rumour I’ve heard from within the retail industry is that they’ve sorted out the legal problems (which weren’t actually legal problems but production problems) and they’re back at it. we might be waiting a bit for the gen5 as it’s more onerous to produce compared to the others. But who knows. Personally, I’m waiting for guarder to start selling complete lowers, nozzles and blowback units. Then I have everything I need to build them without a donor. First time I took one apart, I got the trigger sear and my screw driver stuck in the chassis. Simultaneously the sear spring launched to the other side of the room and got tangled in my dogs fur…
  17. another one 🙈 asking £400 for something that’s worth about £250 second hand (optimistically). I get there’s rumours that TM won’t be producing any more. But it seems like very soulless profiteering.
  18. have fun with that trigger mech. I’ve built three now and I absolutely hate them 🤣
  19. In case people have missed it. guarder have been busy posting updates on new gen5 upgrades. Their lightweight BBU will be less that 10g 🤯 I reckon we’ll see complete new generation lowers with trades by the end of the year. i also reckon it will be quicker to buy and assemble a complete guarder kit than wait for Marui to reproduce a gen5. the last 2 gen4s I’ve built have been complete guarder builds and they’re almost drop in kits. So I imagine the gen5 will be similar.
  20. Latest contender. put a £200 stock pistol in a case with £150 in mags and some vaguely worded cheap upgrades and it’s worth £500 second hand 🙈 if he itemised it properly, I might be wrong and it could be £750 of kit new… but I suspect the upgraded hop, springs and barrel aren’t going to add £200 to the value of the kit.
  21. This is my reasoning. I have 50 odd pistol magazines for Marui glocks and hicapas. I’ve ended up going with a PCC45 as it was £200 (without any upgrades), so even if I spend £400 on upgrades - it’s cheaper than buying a stock MWS with 4 mags… as the mags are a massive additional cost. I’ve also got an MWS AR9 and a GHM9-G which take Marui glock mags… so again, they’re quite reasonable in cost because I’ve already got the mags upfront. i love my AKX and it’s by far the most reliable and accurate piece of kit I have. But the mags are £50-70 each and they’re super heavy. I worked out the other day, for the weight of 3 AKM mags, I can carry 9 guarder lightweight hicapa mags. I only use 4 or 5 in a game so it’s much more comfortable in terms of weight and space. I’d really like to see someone do a purpose built PCC for glock mags built off the MWS. i have a few glock based PCCs. But none of them were out of the box ready to go. The GHM9 and TWS9mm required modification to take glock mags. The prowin AR9 kit is a fairly large undertaking and required fairly careful modification. It would be nice to be able to buy one that’s just ready to go. The Sekio quarter circle 10 looks cool, but takes proprietary mags… so defeats the point.
  22. I have quite a few glocks. A lot of them branded with agent, salient and strike industries. So quite please with the end result, for example this Big A stand.
