  1. So last night I took a trip down to Future Survival in Gravesend for some mid week CQB. On arrival I got signed in and found a free spot in the quite small safezone to sort out my kit. There was around 15 players there and while I didn't find myself struggling for space, it did feel a bit crowded. After kitting up it was off to chrono. This was done quickly and without fuss. Interestingly I did notice on their site rules the limits are slightly different depending on bb weight used, 340fps (1.07j) for .2g bbs or 310fps (1.12j) for .25g bbs. Tbh though the difference is that small that it doesn't really make any difference Games played were a mixture of types including deathmatch and king of the hill and the turn around between games was nice and quick but didn't feel rushed. One rule I did fall foul of was when it comes to grenades. Their rules state "no pyro or flash bang grenades" which I took to mean disposable paper pyros, but actually includes BFGs. Something which I only found out after tossing one into a room. The marshal did say he'd forgotten to mention it in the briefing though. The only other negative was some of the other players. Quite a few (on both teams) seemed to have a difficulty understanding what dead men don't talk means, fortunately though they could easily be ignored. TL,DR: It's a well run site and I'd say the game zone is quite well laid out and IMO only needs a couple of tweaks to improve it. A solid 3.5 out of 5 overall
  2. No. The mag it comes with looks slightly different to a regular M4 mags but it'll take M4 magazines too.
  3. Not to mention that's not a "M4 stubby". It's a KAC PDW
  4. Nothing fancy, just new desert dpm trousers and multicam black top for cqb. It looks like getting unissued DDPM is starting to get harder, but it has been out of service for about 15 years now so I shouldn't be too surprised
  5. Imperial War Museum is always worth a visit, free entry too (some special exhibits may have a fee). Also there's the RAF Museum at Hendon
  6. "only been shot a few times" The state of the mag says otherwise
  7. They certainly are a bit on the warm side. I've got one of the carbines and I've had it chrono at over 2.4j using green gas in the middle of winter
  8. Never heard of them but a quick Google search shows quite a lot of negative reviews, not just for the time taken but for the quality of their work and customer service too. All in all I'd go elsewhere
  9. Posted in the ad they want what they paid for it, which was still a rip off. Although I think this one is more down to naivety than deliberately trying to take the piss
  10. Second hand this is probably worth more like £30
  11. I think that boneyard items are sold with the expectation the buyer knows they're potentially broken/faulty already and accepts this risk
  12. While I agree with the logic behind this, I don't get to play as often as I'd like due to other things taking priority so I'd rather spend my limited time and money going to games I know I'll enjoy rather than paying to spend a weekend wet, miserable and bored Filmsim sounds like a good balance between the two
  13. I should probably add that I've never used one for a milsim, just camping, but the first time it did use it I probably had the best night sleep I'd had when camping ever. The trick is to lay on it diagonally so you get a horizontal sleeping position
  14. Imo the best way to insulate yourself from the ground is to get up off it. If you're putting up a basha between trees then hang a hammock underneath it. They're relatively cheap, lightweight and more compact than a kip mat
  15. All not helped by the council pedestrianising so much of the city centre making any journey 4 times longer as you're stuck in traffic driving round in circles
  16. The overall size isn't too much of a concern to me as I've been to some very well run sites that are small, for example Invicta's Black Site. Also it means a shorter walk to respawn. I agree that the mezzanine bit could cause some problems though. I grew up just outside Cambridge and I know what you mean, especially as it's only gotten worse. People who say London isn't car friendly obviously have never tried to drive through Cambridge
  17. What makes it worse is that it looks like the sort of thing I would've had aged 8
  18. Like we should expect anything else
  19. The cast of X Men showing why you should choose your words carefully when talking about airsoft
  20. I found it was always worth having a look at warzones as you'll often find something different to all the people going on holiday. Early on in the Ukraine war I would often see Reaper drones or Poseidon surveillance aircraft flying over the Black Sea. There was also this last year which unfortunately I missed https://theaviationist.com/2023/11/22/usaf-ac-130j-iraq/
  21. The nearest airsoft shop to me is only 5 miles away but I won't shop there as the owner is a complete bellend
  22. Midweek games interest me because my shift pattern means I don't get that many weekends off and when I do half the time I've just finished a night shift
  23. As I've posted before it never ceases to amaze me how so many airsofters are happy to be bent over and shafted by shops with terrible customer service
