  1. I did think it would but once the hat is pulled onto my fat head it stays there, the hoses move quite a bit too being unattached past where they pass through the material
  2. In what seems to be a right of passage in the airsoft world, I have grown to hate with a passion the spectre of fogging. Being a little unfit, quite fat and therefore prone to producing vast quantities of heat and moisture, it has driven me to try and find my own solution much as I imagine many others have too. My somewhat unique difference is that I wear glasses as in ESS ICE ballistic glasses and not goggles as many others do, this has meant that all the solutions that I've seen are tailored to those and not glasses. I also don't run a helmet of any kind just a DPM bucket hat so I found myself even farther from convention. Many things got an audition, from the 50p antifog wipes in the shop at AP (not terrible but very short lasting) to buying a battery powered fish tank pump and some tubing (chinesium crap and failed badly). Now, many will no doubt recognise Novritsch as a marmite figure but I noticed he had the catchily named 'anti fog unit' available, this seemed to offfer an attachment that was usually placed on goggles and magnetically snapped into the tube allowing the hat to come off but the eye pro stays on. It was at that moment I had a bit of an A-TEAM moment, if this piece could be bonded in the right place maybe it could be adapted for glasses? The pictures below will hopefully demonstrate where I went with this, the velcro is simply stapled and double sided taped into place while the adapter got bonded onto the glasses with a smidge of 2 part 3M Scotchweld that definitely didn't come from work at all. Ever. The upshot is that as I place the hat on my head the tubes and the adaptor 'finds' the one on the glasses and very satisfyingly snaps into them. It looked and felt ok but did it work? Yes, surprisingly, my recent visit to Apocalypse with their marathons games was a good test and the battery lasted all day even though the indicator light showed red it kept going. Even if it didn't I could have used a power bank to top it up. Just a little bit of hopefully useful info for you all if you use glasses like me. Cheers!
  3. Evening all, After a suggestion from one of our group, we all decided to give Apocalypse airsoft in Kent a go, having been playing at Airsoft Plantation up to that point. Different is good or so they say and we were looking forward to seeing how another site does things. I had a pre visit sniff about online as you do and consulted the excellent reviews on here for a heads up as to what could be expected. There are, as we know many mixed opinions but we went in with an open mind, it's only fair really. Thanks to traffic for no reason on the beloved national treasure that is the Dartford crossing we slithered in a bit late, having negotiated that poxy hill that everyone on here mentioned - now I get it! It would be nice if that could be rearranged somehow but they're working with what they have I guess. Before we really had a chance to pull our socks up the first difference became apparent, chrono. At AP it's all on you with no queuing up at the start but Apocalypse do do this and again, it was nice to see a different approach to it, you just get the usual cable tie or a sticker on the RIF then you're good to go. I managed to get prepped in record time, mags bombed up and batteries in to stocks for what was a bit of a marathon, this was a flag style game with poles that could be turned with different colours on the ends, I can't say I was fully aware of what was going on but just went with the flow. The next thing that hit me was the quality of the buildings, the Citadel (a giant feck off wooden castle) is great and the Village is alao to a very high standard, AP is good but this place have done well, this Citadel even had trenches underneath making it a nightmare to defend and certainly gets you thinking! The game went on for some time, having started at 9:30 ish, word came around that it would be finishing at 12, longer than I'm used to and I only just had enough ammo to get through, no drama but next time I'll be more prepared. The marshalls all seemed fine, A guy called Dimitri (I think) was the master of ceremonies for most of it, kept control of things well with his louder than average voice, useful as everyone kept yapping during the briefing! I heard the main man is supposed to be Martin but I never managed to work out who he was. Didn't seem to be any issues with hit taking but people did seem to love shooting dead players, which the marshals were on top of straight away again nice to see. Apocalypse of course use the medic rule meaning you stand there after being shot in the hope that a chum is available to 'medic' you back into the game, again not something I'm used to but I learned it as I went. Facilities were decent, the shop is just a massive danger zone where mentally, I spent thousands looking at the RIF's and kit in there. The toilets are basically a pile of stones that you piss into, doesn't smell all that nice but not a deal breaker. I didn't partake in the food but my nose told me it would have been a good shout had I done so. Something else my nose told me was that some people there were on the weed. Now to be clear, I don't give a shit about it all, long as no one else has to suffer it that doesn't want to that is and it was a bit disappointing to have to be exposed to it all at what was supposed to be a public event, full of kids too I might add. Again, not to overstate the point I'm live and let live but it would have been nice to see the staff get a handle on this, but they allowed it to continue which I found a bit poor. The rest of the games were a similar format to the first, same objectives and same locations but being a new site it was still enjoyable. All in all worth going and a useful insight into something a little bit different..........
  4. I looked at doing this myself some time ago. There was a Debenhams in a local shopping mall that had closed and was almost perfect for a CQB site. After some research it seems that it would have ended up as a full time job and as already mentioned would also have been requiring a complete health and safety assessment amongst many other things. Bottom line was that unless I was willing to devote all my spare time, cash and attention it would have mutated into a massive failure at best and a raging court case at worst. That said I really would love to do it one day but as things stand its not feasible. After all that I can't honestly see how a temporary site could be set up and made workable in today's litigation heavy world. I do wish the OP best of luck all the same.

  7. 200 notes will get you a seriously better gun than the raider, even a g&g fanboy like me would admit it too, you’re spot on with the out priced analogy. Silly really as you logically wouldn’t up the price for something that’s been around for a good few years now and has nothing in the way of enhancements on its original form. Like I said I’d have a different rif altogether if I was looking now.
  8. Ouch! I paid 130 for mine a year back, why the hell have they gone so schizo on the price? £219 now on patrol base!! 🤯🤯 I mean, I love mine but if it had been that much Id when I was looking I’d have passed in a heartbeat!
  9. Evening all, Would any of you know the appropriate value of this glock? Pretty sure it’s a KSC/KWA from advice given on this forum but open to suggestions on that. I will probably go with ‘borderline boneyard’ here as although it does fire at about 270fps it runs out of gas before even a full mag is used therefore has some kind of gas issue. Otherwise it’s all there in a decent glock case, was thinking about 50 quid would be fair? One last thing and it may not be appropriate for here but how do I check the defence status of a potential buyer? Tried to check my own the other day and couldn’t so at a bit of a loss as to how I’d go about this quite important step! Thanks in advance
  10. Blue, found the reds to be a very decent opfor! And yes it definitely was a decent days gaming, I knew it’d be a good intro for my mate and his lad, he messaged me yesterday asking about batteries for guns, looks like they’re hooked already 😂😂
  11. After what seemed like an eternity I managed to get everything together for my first ever non rental game (big boy now) like a CM16 and a Titan battery to power it. Additionally a mate of mine said his kid wanted to play and had no idea where to start so we all went to Airsoft Plantation so I could show them what the deal was and make sure he liked it! It was a fairly safe bet, AP do a nice game day and the rental kit is always good. I was a little apprehensive playing without the reassurance of being able to just get any gun issues fixed like I did when I rented but I must say both the new gun and battery performed really well, when I checked the cells afterwards they were still way over 7.4v total and they could have gone longer if I’d have wanted to. All that said it the nerves were initially counterbalanced by only paying 25 quid for the walk on - much easier on the pocket! My mate and his lad had a great day too, even though it rained some the day wasn’t spoiled at all, we played some excellent set pieces at times and had really enjoyed the games. The battleaxe 200rd mid caps I had fed just fine too, highly recommended!
  12. “Mr Smuggy MckFucknuts” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
  13. I keep hearing this, is a deans the same as a t plug by any chance?
  14. Finally… The cm16 showed up the other day, from bullseye country sport as no one else had them in stock. The service there has been spot on so far incidentally! As well as the proprietory g&g 400rd hi cap I got four of the 200rd battleaxe mid cap mags too, I’m one of those who hates winding mags with a passion😂😂 They’re slightly longer than normal STANAG mags and as such only just fitted into the plce pouches but give a great capacity for skirmishes. Asg speed loader too and now waiting for next payday so I can grab a titan li-ion battery for it. Got a carry handle from another member on here as I think it gives the gun a little more purpose to its look 🤔

  16. Fuck me this ones a bit deep 😂😂😂😂😂
  17. It’s the weird appreciation of grammar that singles this out for me, they all seem to write in this style. Nice to read a thread where someone smelt a rat and swerved the whole thing as opposed to someone that got taken in and lost a load of cash!
  18. So this butcher is in his shop working away when a dog, carrying a basket casually walks in and jumps up onto the counter. The butcher goes to shoo him away but before he can the dog points with his paw into the basket at a list for some meat. This gets the butchers attention, so he picks up the list and reads off the items which are followed by a note that reads ‘please can you put all this in the basket, the right money is in a pouch on the dogs collar’. Right on cue the dog lifts his head and points at a small pouch which as it turns out has the right money in it. Once all the bits were in the basket the dog nods his thanks and leaves with the basket in his mouth again. The butcher is stunned. If I could have a dog like that he thinks, it could do my deliveries, even perform on the stage! So he shuts up shop and follows the creature, during which time he sees him visit several other shops, have a pint at the pub and even use a zebra crossing, wow, thinks the butcher, this dog is something else! Then finally the dog arrives at a house, he opens the front gate and lets himself in with his paws and goes up to the front door and knocks waiting to be let in. Suddenly though the door flies open and a man appears, giving the dog a massive bollocking, calling him useless and dumb, the butcher, confused at this, runs up to them and exclaims ‘why are you bollocking this dog? The things I’ve seen him do, he’s amazing!’ ‘Amazing? fuck off!’ Laughs the man, ‘This is the third time he’s forgotten his keys this week!’
  19. It’s another Bernard manning special if that helps 🤣
  20. There’s no doubt that Micheal Barrymore is gay, I rang his house up the other day and Cliff Richard answered....
  21. Hi mate, if you don’t sell this by next payday I’ll have it, just flat broke right now! Any pics of the inside? cheers
  22. Every one who played bond did it in his own way however I, much like Tackle, lean towards Connery probably because he created the role from the start. No one was overly crap at it imho, just tone better than others!
  23. I thought that too but... The point of black friday is so retailers can control what people buy for a week - nothing else.
  24. I was waiting for someone to pick up on that pulse rifle, very.....interesting!
  25. I was thinking the same thing, aren’t they £140 new?!?!
