  1. I would guess that might be because it is rebounding faster than the heavier TM bolt? The same buffer spring will accelerate it faster. I will be interested to see what they say. Adding a wrap of leccy tape around the tab on the part of the bolt release that the mag follower presses might help? I have a UAC lightweight bolt but haven't had issues, but I have only run it on Green and Red gas in +15degC temps.
  2. AK2M4 - amazing service as usual! Answered my bone questions then got the order in the post same day :)

Motor and spring turned up today and I have just crammed it all into my G&P M4. Super snappy single shot and the 3rd burst has the BBs flying about a foot behind each other :) 345fps on 0.20g (M110 Rocket spring and 5mm spacer, was a little low without the spacer, around 315fps)

nice one man!!! im just waiting on my perun mosfets turning up then i can test out the compression kit that arrived :D hopefully bump my fps up a little as the cyma kit was absoloutly pants around 25% compression when the nozzle was installed had to ptfe tape the head to feck just to get a 100% seal without the nozzle  lol

  3. The Hao stuff is amazing quality and built to proper tollerences rather than the "may fit, but then again who knows" that other manufacturers seem to use. Plus the time to develop, test and make these limited runs mean that the % of the costs that need recouping from each one is pretty high. If they could shift thousands of them the price would come down 😁 TBH it is just a toy gun and no one needs anything better than a CM16 but if you have the means why not get something that floats your boat?
  4. I shoot a rifle left handed as my right eye sight is really bad, but I shoot pistol right handed / left eye. The worst part of right-handed / left eye is trying to set up your belt to manage both! No way I can get my pistol AND M4 mags AND bfg on the right, with pistol mags on the left and dump pouch....who knows where! Chest rigs and no side arm are the way forward for sure!
  5. Agreed, the worst part of getting the license is navigating that hateful abortion of a website OFCOM have! Also, @Steveoceewell done for raising the illegality issue sensibly and not screaming "oFcOm pOlIcE wiLL rAiD yOu OMG!!!11!!111! tHyE wiLL BAN aIrSoFt bEcAuSe oF u!!11!!!' as is the wont of some people (mainly on FB, you know the guy!)
  6. Unless you are using tonnes of paint they should be fine....no 1L tins of Hammerite brush-on! Some people tape off the SAFE - SEMI - AUTO to make it more readable after paint but I have never done that and as long as you only use a light coating of paint I have never had an issue with the function of safety / mag release / etc...
  7. Measure the hole it fell out of and round up to the next whole number (Eg if it is a 3.4mm hole = M4 grub screw) 😁 Buy a bag of the correct sized ones from Ebay and pop a blob of thread lock on before fitting 👍
  8. short RIS rail section and two wood screws 🤣
  9. I love working on AKs but the v3 trigger and ARL are, as you say, a PITA 😡 I have built one up last summer with a Gate NanoHARD, improved sealing (air nozzle, o-ring, bucking and nub) and a Madbull barrel. Cracking little gun that with the weathered paint and wood looks pretty unassuming. I have just done a mod I saw in the wild a few years back, basically take a Scout light, remove the RIS mount and bolt directly through some holes you drill in the upper hand guard! Seems that lack of tactical fore end didn't stop the local guys trying to get all tacticool like the US and Brits they were working along side 😁
  10. He says the WE one (silver) which with out some sanding is too large a diameter to work in a TM nozzle. The black TM one is a drop-in fit. I posted a loooong post on this a while back (last summer) where I tested various bolts, nozzles and NPAS for consistency.
  11. This is my AEG, the GBBR grip went on my MWS to match the ergonomics of this one!
  12. Total mash up of parts (G&P, TM, PTS, Titan, lots more!) and colours but shoots like a laser beam 😁
  13. Ooh interesting idea, I guess that makes the GDPR angle easier as you control your data and who (other than the sysadmin) gets to see it. Having a database of personal information linked to gun* ownership isn't a headache I would want! UKARA (from their GDPR statement) seems to want to keep all the data in perpetuity...not sure how legal that is (guess who spent a day doing Data Protection Act training today!)
  14. That is my understanding too, it is a way of retailers covering their a**. A players "defence" if ever asked by the police would likely be site booking emails / pictures from game days.
  15. I have a Spitfire on its way to me because I am a 5 year old at heart 🤣 (and PB still have a deal on ASG gas so might as well stock up!)
  16. ITAS have run some level 1 and 2 days for CQB, adapting "real" tactics for use in airsoft as they don't all translate. I went on the Lv1 day with 2 others from the team and we had two trainers between 6 of us, one ex-RM who airsofts quite a bit, and an ex(?) SF guy. Really high quality training and ran from about 10am to 5pm including a final "kill house" exercise. Cost was twice a regular walk-on fee but worth every penny due to the high quality of the teaching (talk through, demonstrate, walk through then try a few times with immediate feedback)
  17. Looks like an Ugg boot...guess if you like FN SCARs it might be ok 🤣🤣🤣
  18. I replaced my trigger internals as the previous owner had filled it full of sand and never lubed it WiiTech internals are very well finished and high quality materials. Graphite lock lube FTW. The stock trigger as new is ok, probably on a par with the L119A1 I had a play with one time although my MWS jams less 😉 My usual go-to comparison for triggers is the Weihrach Rekord unit in HW air rifles, and the Sandwell Field Sports tuned one the pinnacle. TL;DR until it breaks / wears out leave it be.
  19. There should be a tube-type speedloader in the box, failing that people (including myself) have had good results with the TM speedloaders, either pistol or M4 size. Firesupport have them in stock - https://www.fire-support.co.uk/category/bb-loaders--holders/?manufacturer=87&submit.x=15&submit.y=12 Oh, and welcome to the club
  20. Due to COVID I haven't had much of a chance to use the MWS but my initial thoughts are that the pull is lighter AND smoother with none of the notchy feel the original (and rather well used!) parts had. Break point is crisp and predictable, you can get a feel for pulling it to 80% of the way and holding it while deciding whether to pull off a shot or allow it to re-set. The parts were pricy but worth it and the quality of finish is a whole other level Lets hope come spring I can get back out to play and give it a full work over.
  21. IIRC it has a lot less adjustment range than the stock one so it might be ok but if you are running heavier ammo it may struggle to lift it. This was covered somewhere in this thread...probably page 120-ish??
  22. just measured mine (TM front, WiiTech rear) pins and they are 6.16 / 6.17mm diameter. Hope this helps!
  23. I would look at a Black NPAS from RA Tech in the standard TM nozzle. Easy to get 370fps plus on 0.2g and green gas. I run mine 80% closed to keep under 350fps (0.2g equivalent) with green gas on 10-15DegC days. https://emperionstore.com/npas-kit-for-tokyo-marui-mws-gbb-ra-tech.html Stay away from AG stuff, tolerances and performance are all over the place. Also: FPS does NOT equal range. Run the heaviest BB you can consistently lift, it will be "slower" but actually carry the energy further and give better range. Time to target is minimal (or huge if your BB never gets that far down range! )
  24. A spring won't change its spring rate after 24hrs, I have seen air rifles left cocked for years and still put out 95% of their original power 😁 The lost 5% was probably due to the grease turning into earwax over the years! 🤮
  25. Both Cyma AKs I have had from TG had the springs changed and the stiffer, old spring included in the box. The 20fps extra from 310 to 330 will make sod all difference in range or accuracy, don't sweat it 😁
