Is there a plan to make green gas mags for it?
  2. For the most part these take standard TM Hi-Capa parts, so have a look on Hi-Capa Hub. Also speaking from experience, don't worry about too much about matching golds in Airsoft. As it's only paint and not actual electroplating, the finish and hue varies so much.
  3. "Job lot" is somewhat of a fantasy, unless you're talking about selling it to a retailer like Action Hobbies and then you'll get pennies on the pound.
  4. I certainly wouldn't have a full metal green gas 1911 as my only pistol. Honestly, in terms of size, weight, performance etc, I think the TM G19 is one of the best sidearms around...but you should buy something you like the look and feel of. Just know that you're choosing the latter over reliability.
  5. It's good to see sites taking a hard line stance ?
  6. Actually yes, this. I love the look of the original stainless one, but it doesn't have a de-cocker or adjustable hop.
  7. I know both...because I always use 0.28's in my rifles and obsess over getting them to 285fps.
  8. This is just for plinking at home, right? Even the older TM pistols are great, just slightly less snappy without the 15mm BBU.
  9. Because they found out how much airsofters pay for BB guns made in Taiwan and assume we're gullible for other products too.

  10. I found this useful diagram of where AS considers being hit "cheating"
  11. As has been mentioned in this thread, certainly a significant portion of them aren't even airsofters. He's up a tree in a recent video and most of the comments are about how amazing he is for it. Whenever I've played, climbing stuff like that is seen as cheating, but they wouldn't know that - so they don't even know they're being moronic!
  12. My first experience with an airsoft gun was when my mate bought a HFC M9 in-store from justBBguns. This was in December that year and when we go home we eagerly ventured out to my garden, where we fired a mag or two on green gas. When we attempted to get through another, we noticed it was no-longer locking back. "This piece of >insert your own expletive here< has broken! We need to take it back!" he furiously proclaimed. I wasn't overly keen on this idea, as it's a three hour round trip....but he had paid around £150, so back we went. When we got there, they demonstrated that the gun cycled perfectly, even locking back on empty. Long-story short, the gun was fine but no-one had explained the negative effects of cold weather on a gas gun. I have owned a VFC Glock 19X and it worked really well overall. However, when it was cold it would do the same thing, only shooting every couple of cycles. My point is that as adults, we should take a moment to analyse the situation, rather than just jumping up and down screaming "Not fit for purpose, consumer rights act!"
  13. He was next to me in the staging area of the safe zone and I was surprised at how quiet and subdued he was. I also assumed he was a short-arse, but must be about 6'4. I overheard someone at the site asking him about the controversary and he claimed it was unintentional. Anyway I didn't hear about any issues, although confusingly he and his buddies did switch teams at least once. I was left feeling like a lot of it was for clicks. The few recent times he's put out non-noob/cheater destroying videos, engagement is far lower.
  14. I've sold loads of genuinely unskirmished guns. Even amongst the RIF's I have left: G&G MBR556 DMR - Not skirmished since Negative Airsoft last worked on it. CYMA Platinum Daniel Defence - Skirmished one morning session since Negative Airsoft upgraded. WE Beretta M9 - Not skirmished Tanaka Colt Python - Not skirmished AAP with upgrades - Not skirmished ....actually yeah, maybe I do just need to play more ?
  15. Because people are more likely to sell things they can't see themselves using.
  16. I recently sold something very similar for £175 including Paypal fees and postage. I was hoping to get >£200 but it sat around for over a year.
  17. Sounds like it's cold to me. What sort of ambient temp are you shooting it in and which gas are you using?
  18. Does anyone know if any Glock trigger springs are a direct replacement? I can only find one shop which sells an AAP spring set and they seemingly won't post to The UK.
  19. I've no experience with it, but they're a reliable retailer and it looks a decent bundle. I would pick one up if I was a bit more CQB inclined.
  20. I haven't been yet, but intend to take my air rifles and possibly some airsoft guns to this place, when it gets a bit warmer. https://gowildatthewarren.uk/
  21. As above, check power and consistency with a chrono. If you don't have access to one, purchasing one should be your first priority before any upgrading. Changing the hop rubber and barrel is a little more involved than with an M4, as you have to dismantle the upper receiver. The stock inner barrel is pretty decent, but brass, so can suffer from corrosion. Check the condition and if you're not happy, any the same length would be suitable, I have a prommy in mine but ORGA do one, so do PDI & Madbull. Same goes for the rubber and nub but if you haven't changed it in over ten years (not even sure they've even been out that long TBH), then it's worth doing while you're there. Anything like the prommy purple, lonex soft, maple leaf 50/60 degree will be fine.
  22. I actually have two of these, guess it could be adjusted to fit but there would be so space in front of the pistol.
  23. Yes, what could better for a new player than a heavy GBBR and a broken boltie.... Anyway, as someone who is massively slimming down their collection of guns and gear, my advice would be that you're going to have to split, list separately and post items. Someone turning up and giving you a large amount of money to clear it from your house sounds fantasticly cathartic, but not realistic. The only way you're likely to ever sell it all together is if you're willing to take pennies on the pound and pass it on to a reseller. £800 ain't that kinda price for what you've got. Edit: Sorry that you're going through tough times. My advice stands though, even if I was in front of you, I'd give you max £250 for the GBBR, no more than £70 for the pistol and tell you to keep the broken boltie as a wall-hanger, then do you a favour by taking the other bits. I really think you're going to be waiting forever at anywhere near £800.
  24. Does anyone know of any rigid active retentions for compact 1911 RIF's? Struggling to find a decent option for my Tokyo Marui V10.
