Sounds very similar to conversations I just had with another new member Bumblebee. Polite guy, but contacted me about my wanted post, offered a Sten Mk 5, sent pictures and then a video but it was a Mk 2, bit like what happened with rsvpiper above.
Lives in Manchester apparently, but told another member he lives in Edinburgh. 🤔This is the initial picture from philipp, followed on WhatsApp by a video of a mk2 with a home made suppressor

On that subject, sure I've seen a NE sten in the classifieds a couple of times, might be worth doing a search & contacting the seller diectly M8.
Cheere mate yeah seen that one, it's a mk2 and more than the original selling price if I remember correctly!
-
He's been on to me as I'm after a NE sten mk5, containing me via WhatsApp on new-years day but with a mk2 with a funky home made silencer🤷♂️
What a total cockwomble!
His profile is still here!

After a bit of faffing about I've managed to use half the original nub and now have a fully functioning rif! Gotta say socom where as much use as tits on a gull! Nearly 2 weeks waiting for return label and a general air of🤷♂️ won't be giving them anymore of our cash

i mean assuming the components themselves weren't made incorrectly (ie the barrel window isn't cut on the wrong side) how the hell do you fit a hop bucking upside down and not at least have either a big lump or the locator pin making it painfully obvious the thing isn't going to fit in the hop unit?
Some serious skills there!

Is it an easy fix?
The nub is completely knackered 🤞 Sam at uk Airsoft has something in his spares box!
New bucking is already in and the barrel correctly placed

Recently received a new S&T Mosin, it's brand new straight out the box and the hop just doesn't!
The adjuster was nearly fully unscrewed out the breach, so much so that bb's just rolled out the barrel! Slowly winding on the hop provides absolutely no change🤔 to the point where the adjuster is fully in and the bb's still just roll out the end if the barrel.
I've got onto the shop about returning it but they are dragging their feet it's been a week now!
Well today I decided to pull the thing apart! And what a surprise was in store! The barrel had been fitted upside down so the grub screw has basically just cut straight through the nub!🤷♂️
S&T quality control is awesome 👌

Asking for actual user reviews of the various Lee Enfield No4's(Ares,GnG and RWA and the NE sten mk5
I know these stens are discontinued and parts appear to be like rocking horse shite! Or as the UK supplier said they only make the gun but no spare parts!🙄

Second outing with the fal on Saturday and..... broken nozzle 😕
Less than 300 bb's put through it. surely this is not how it should be!
Had to order a replacement from Hong Kong as nothing shows up here in the UK,
Email the dealer and vfc but not expecting any response from them.
Such a shame as I'm really liking the fal

Could try Blackhills back of Whit-more as you're Chesterfield based

Is the zenitco rail for the E&L series of AKs and not LCT/Cyma?
Yes the 105 is E&L
-
Put this zenitco rail on my Lads 105 but for the life of me I can't get the gas tubes locking pin to rotate and lock in place, it was a little tight to get the pin to move initially but going back is a solid no! Am I missing something 🤔 I've lightly oiled both parts but nowp it won't budge! Other than beating the shit out of it with a lump 🔨 I am at a loss! On the up side that rail looks the dogs😁

Posting as I'm in the same boat.
Took it out for its first game on Sunday, I planned to run 0.36s but they were just too much for the standard hop.
0.28s weren't much better either.
I've got the combat union hop unit now installed with a maple leaf 60° bucking & nub, just have to wait to be able to test it now.
I noticed that the fps can drop massively depending on how much hop is added; at full hop it has dropped to under 200fps, from around 450 on none.
I've had a play with std hop, there's a little tutorial on YouTube, and what a difference that made initially used. 28s which go forever now whereas before my stock M16 easily out ranged it!! Going to use it Saturday to see how it goes🤞
-
I've just got a Cyma SVD it's totally box stock at the moment, can I get a recommendation on a bb weight? I've got .28s left over from my gbb which it shoots ok but not with any better range than my Classic Army m16!
-
Looks like bs, just tried ordering from them, every time I try and put an item in the basket it comes up with a fault code! I've even tried different rifs doesn't change! Oh well back to the drawing board.

Anyone had dealings with these guys to buy rifs?

how far do you want to go?
if it's just pulling the gearbox out it's only a couple of screws in the side of the reciever
Really want it all apart!

Anyone have either a link to or a video of how to take down/ strip an A&K M60?

Is the nozzle completely stuck ? wont pull out either ? try removing the guides and see if you can get enough movement to see if it frees off. As EDcase suggested it could well be crushed BB bits jamming it, or I guess the rails on the aluminium nozzle may have gotten damaged and be binding.
It was well stuck, the guides on each side damaged all the anodised coating off and the nozzle was twisted slightly! Ive returned it now the guys at Skirmishshop👍
