I'm not so sure. Looking at the internals the bolt face is tiny because of the top strap going through the slide. That area is where the blowback unit would be and there simply isn't space. We might see a non blowback one but I don't think a gbb one will show up

I want that too but I'm settling for the frf 2 right now ?

Yes indeedy Its a clone of the tokyo marui type 89 so a hell of a lot cheaper. It was sold under like 5 different company names but this one was listed as a tercel Also got a daewoo k2c1 on the way =D

Picked up these two to add to my weird ass collection. Got the ktw winchester in an auction and it needs a new safety but otherwise seems to work fine.

No they arent. The lct modernised mags are garbage and dont have the windows in them properly, just a moulding. These are d-day. They look and feel amazing but they are a little too lose to feed in most of my guns. The e&l is one of the only ones they actually work in.

E&l 104 I believe. Finally found a scope setup I like for it and overall got it comfortable for me. Ive been wanting to fully modernise one of my aks for a while and I'm happy with the result. Also the cmore makes for a good poor mans kobra >->

Got this second hand for a very low price. Firesupport used to do this as a custom option. Its a tm recoil ak102 with lct furniture and a modified ak hop unit to allow the use of regular ak mags. It needs a new selector plate and a few screws here and there but otherwise seems in very good nick. And at the end of the day it cost me little enough that I can probably flog the lct furniture and get most of my money back!

So I own an a&k pkm and recently found out they were discontinued. I decided to buy up some spare parts now before they became unavailable. When I went looking for 249 gears however I found nothing. Do they use the same style of gears as v2/v3 gearboxes?

One ak from each of the 3 best known manufacturers. In order e&l, Lct and cyma. I love modernising them but I also like to keep a classic around.

Upper reciever basically done. will be starting on the lower soon. The v3 gearbox fits perfectly though I will need a little extension for the hop up 3d printed to make it work with m4 mags.

Metal 3d printin normally works by adding a thin layer of metal powder then using a laser to melt it then adding another layer and so on and so on and then digging the finished pieces out of the powder. There are some direct extrusion metal machines but they tend to be less detailed.

Reciever mark 1 unfortunately started developing some pretty bad cracks so I decided to ditch it, switch steels and try again. Second one went much more smoothly. Given that I get all my steel as spares and offcuts from a factory I dont necesarrily know what im working with until I start so these things happen. Needs a lot of smoothing out but the sides are level, the angles are mostly 90 degrees and Its all looking pretty good. Lower shoud be a lot easier as its 1 straight box.

Started hammering out the upper reciever for the ultimax. Upper is 2mm steel. the lower will be 1.5mm

I have no doubt I could forge out an ak reciever but It would be somewhat pointless as I already have both lct and e&l aks. No one makes an ultimax though and I had a hankering for a 556 lmg that wasnt a saw and took regular mags.

So for those that dont know im an armoursmith/ blacksmith and ive decided to take on a gun project using these skills. Specifically the ultimax 100 mk 5 because I love the ultimax but Id also like to be able to use my regular m4 mags and that version has a magwell. Made a mockup so far. A v3 gearbox sits about perfect in this but on the real one the upper and lower recievers are welded together. If I did this Id never be able to get the gearbox out. Im probably gonna try to make it in a way that means the rear end cap can come off and the recievers can come apart. One of the main reasons I chose this gun is because its basically just 90 degree boxes for most of the reciever. Ill probably just be brazing on other pieces of metal for all those details on the side of it. Evetything else will be hammered out of 2-3mm steel. I will probably also be getting a friend to 3d print some of the brackets and internal parts for the barrel and hop. Should be a fun project.

Just received them and got the plain one fitted and tested. Still needs some bolts and finishing work but it already shoots very well. Will post a vid later.

So ive always wanted a classic soviet looking ak optic. Specifically for my plain ak74 but unfortunately they are pricey and im a cheapskate. So my next project is to take this aimpoint knockoff and this old cyma side mount and make some kind of soviet looking thingimajig.
