  1. Heyo. Got this in a joblot of parts and I havent for the life of me been able to find any info on it. Vomz are a russian company that make scopes and stuff but thats all I can find. Any info is appreciated
  2. Id be surprised if one wasnt made sooner or later but I havent heard anything specific
  3. So im a big fan of bulpups and for a while I was planning to build a hbar aug but that sort of fell by the wayside and then I ended up selling all my aegs barring a few lmgs and swapped to gbbrs. id still like a gbbr bulpup but as cool as the ghk aug or kwa f90 looks id rather keep using mags I already have as all of my current gbb guns are tokyo marui so I have mws and akm mags and parts spare. So I decided to make my own based on the vhs 2 . Found a reasonably accurate model online which im using as a basis but Im rebuilding it to actually be in the proper component parts as this one is all one solid piece. If all goes well I should be able to drop an mws trigger box and nozzle into it. The bolt is the one part Im a little worried about. i intend to have it running on bearing rollers to remove the usual friction of 3d prints rubbing together but I may need to weight it a little or it will bash itself to death.
  4. So the original nozzle in pla+ lasted consistently for around 800 shots before the loading tab snapped. While im fine with swapping my nozzle out after a game day while im maintaining it I cant really sell it without some better longevity. Here is version 3. It has a seperate loading tab printed lengthways which increases the strength a lot. It is quite heavily reinforced now so it wont take the little faux bolt head the original had but Thats not a big loss. Now to test it and see how long it lasts
  5. My wood and steel tm akm was looking lonely on the rack so I Grabbed a second hand one and dunked it in the zenitco knockoff bucket. Probably going to strip the last of the paint at some point but I cant be bothered right now
  6. The type 89 gbbr scope mounts seem impossible to find and apparently the aeg ones arent combatible so I knocked this up quickly so I can have something on it for this weekend
  7. As far as I know having held a firearms license for quite a few years only pressure bearing components of a gun are controlled so bolt, barrel, receiver. Triggers and fire control mechanisms are not controlled in the uk and that isnt really relevant as making parts for toys is not making parts for guns
  8. So recently I grabbed a tokyo marui type 89 and I had seen lots of videos of the nozzle mangling itself so I designed and 3d printed a copy of the tm part. It works just as well as the original and I can replace it indefinitely. This isn't the fist time I've done something like this and im even in the process of designing my own nozzles and fire control mechanisms from the ground up. So the question is if I offered a service of copying parts in rare guns and making spares or replacements would anyone be interested in that sort of thing? Obviously 3d printing has its limitations but theres no reason that when I have a printed part done the file cant be handed over to a cnc machining company or such particularly for trigger mechanism components.
  9. Type 89 nozzle is done and with a few internal tweaks and some finer print settings its now giving me the same fps and consistency as the tm original piece. Going to be running it this weekend and just dumping mags through it every now and again to see how long it lasts.
  10. I forgot to show it in the vid but yes it does lock open on empty. I was just holding the bolt release for the demo 2024-02-24 00-51-37.mp4
  11. Externally more or less done barring actually testing it. internal measurements are a bit off
  12. Uv resin tends to be quite brittle and not very impact resistant. It would also add significantly to the size of the part and again mess up the tolerances. Besides apart from a cuple of overhangs the fdm prints Im getting are more than smooth enough for the intended purpose
  13. Ah ok. yeah I have seen that done but generally when im making mechanical parts the end measurements would be a little too.... random? I guess if I did that. Like im not sure how repeatable it would be to .1 of a mm For aesthetic parts sure.
  14. Didnt see the bit about vapour dipping. Not tried it yet but not yet had a print that wasnt clean enough to work as is so far.
  15. Ill be making the test versions in pla until I have all the sizes right and then im going to experiment with pla+ and petg for the final parts. For my personal use I am happy to change parts every now and again so if it lasts a couple of skirmish days im happy. I might start selling them however in the distant future so I need to be sure they will survive for a good long time on greengas. Not sure how many people have these guns.
  16. So i recently picked up a tokyo marui type 89 gbbr and I love it but ive seen multiple people have the nozzles eat themselves using green gas and heavy bbs and even some nozzle issues in japan with the correct gas. Given that spare nozzles for it are basically unavailable and I dont like running guns I cant get spares for ive started modeling spare nozzles for it. first test is printing now. It will no doubt require tollerancing and tweaking before it works but its a good start. And yes I did forget to put the slope on the very tip of it for feeding bbs XD. Ill put it in with a file for this version and fix it for later tests
  17. Since the bolt is plastic and weighs basically nothing this is the result. Shooting around 340fps with the longer barrel. This is on a we tech glock 19 mag. also added a magnet to keep the charging handle forward. MOV_3522.mp4
  18. Fully working and assembled barring a few bolts, outer barrel and slide release. Lovely and snappy. Looks a bit blank at the mo but by the time I have the sliding stock done it should look a little less barren
  19. so recently I designed and printed this little smg / pdw that uses glock internals. Its very snappy and works well though I will be tweaking the aesthetics a lot. Here's also another bit from the new thing im prototyping. Im sure you can guess what that is for.
  20. I use blender
  21. I am still working on getting this all permenantly together and some more quality of life stuff but I may be getting a little distracted >_>
  22. Version 1 is more or less done. Im probably gonna change around the grip texture and the non reciprocating charging handle needs something to hold it forwards while the gun is running but its fully useable as is. Minus the fact its missing a few bolts but its too late at night for me to want to fire up the soldering iron and put the threaded inserts in.
  23. So ive wanted a little pdw / smg for a while but when I eventually grabbed a kwa mp7 I wasn't best pleased with the performance and I dislike having guns that use proprietary parts as I like to keep spares on hand for all my stuff. So I decided to design this little thing. Everything that isnt 3d printed came from a we tech glock 19 (with the exception of the recoil spring which is a raven g17 one and the inner barrel which is 120mm maple leaf one). It is lovely and snappy as the bolt weighs very little. Ill stick it on some scales alongside the original metal slide at some point. As it is it is fully working. There are some things Id like to improve like the last round hold open as currently that just catches on the front of the bolt which puts a little too much force into it for my liking. Made this one have a grip that can take glock 19 mags as that's what I have and now its on to aesthetics. Obviously it will have a fully enclosed upper receiver For my personal version ill probably just have an rmr mount but ill inevitably make a railed version too at some point. Right now im trying to decide what grip texture to put on it.
  24. Working on an upper reciever to drop into one of my augs to make something close to the australian f90. There are a few differences on the lower as well but im not going for every detail. I just like the overall look of the foreend.
  25. i believe that gun has been out since 2019. This just seems to be a shorter barreled version https://www.defconairsoft.co.uk/product/kwa-ronin-tk-45-aeg-3-0-black/
