I have a disabled child that needs 24/7 care, the odd time I get free, I go to airsoft, so please do not assume or judge or make comments you no nothing about, effort is not a issue for me. -

looking at sellers feedback is all fine and good, but when you want a new toy, that is extra effort. easier to buy from a retailer. -

Which retailers in the UK accept Just-Cos Cosplayer Insurance?

I recently purchased an EMG Noveske N4. My local store does not stock this. Occasionally, I see similar rifs listed here and my past experiences buying and selling rifs through this platform have been positive. However, I'm cautious with ads claiming the item is 'brand new,' 'never skirmished,' or 'used only in the garden,' especially when the asking price is nearly identical to a new item's cost. I prefer purchasing from retailers, so I can try them out, with the option to return if unsatisfied. Also with the added security provided by my credit card and to avoid the hassle of resolving issues with second-hand rifs not being as described. This forum is great for many things, like advice, selling and buying, dragging out threads over 6 pages from a simple question but you have very little protection over sales, other than paypal. -

If you have a bitter taste in your mouth because you feel as if you earn a UKARA because you play so often then take it up with the retailers. I have been playing airsoft for just over 10 years now, In my 20's I could go every week but not so much now, so to it from the other side, I see it as a punishment that I cannot buy a new rif because I haven't been able to play as much as I used to, to keep an active UKARA -

Using the insurance for its intended purpose seems pointless, yet it has allowed me to acquire multiple RIFs without the requirement for them to be two-toned. This long discussion brimming with passionate opinions and thoughts boils down to a simple truth: If you're buying it strictly as insurance, then indeed, it's an unnecessary expense. However, if you're spending £20 to bypass the two-tone requirement for purchasing a RIF — especially as a casual player unable to attend games monthly to secure a UKRA but still eager to invest in something new — then it proves to be invaluable. Thanks to this Just-Cos Cosplayer Insurance, I've successfully purchased 3 RIFs. Now, you may or may not agree with this method, but any concerns should be directed at the retailer accepting it; it's their responsibility to decide whether to sell or not. -

Removing the blue paint or respraying the gun is classified as 'Modifying an imitation firearm so that it becomes a realistic imitation firearm,' which is explicitly illegal under Section 36(1) of the Violent Crime Reduction Act: https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2006/38/section/36. Hope this helps. -

DanBow UCAP are committed to hosting realistic skirmishes, emphasizing the importance of maintaining an authentic atmosphere. As such, brightly colored guns are prohibited to prevent them from detracting from the experience also, modified firearms, like a pistol equipped with an M4 magazine that is HPA tapped , are not allowed on the sites. Every event I've attended has been exceptionally well-organized, and spots usually sell out quickly. I would highly recommend the gloucester prison site. GenuineGerman- yes they do you get £5 million of cover with zero excess fee to pay DanBow. chances are they wouldn't be able to tell but lets not forget, you would be breaking the law if you modify a rif by spraying it, -

Regardless of personal opinions or suspicions, the Just-Cos Cosplayer Insurance is a means to acquire RIFs. While not universally accepted, it aligns with the requirements of certain retailers. A UKARA is essential for purchasing, though not for owning, an RIF, presenting an alternative approach. It's important to note that the validity of claims is generally low, as airsoft events usually offer public liability insurance. Carrying RIFs in public contravenes the law, and insurance invariably excludes illegal activities. Thus, the Just-Cos Cosplayer Insurance is an alternate solution, with any issues to be resolved by the accepting retailers. Many have expressed frustration here, which is pointless in this forum but meaningful action requires more than voicing discontent. I encourage you to advocate for change by contacting retailers to discontinue its use of the Just-Cos Cosplayer Insurance m and engaging with your local MP about this issue. Debating here often circles back to the same points without progress. My initial query was to identify which retailers accept this insurance, not to collect opinions because it is boring now. If change is your goal, I suggest moving from discussion in this forum to actually action. this is UCAP airsoft a very popular and well ran sites, i would suggest checking them out !!! -

The confirmation ultimately rests with the retailer. I have inquired about their willingness to proceed, and they have consented. Therefore, it hinges on the retailer's terms and conditions whether they choose to accept or reject. Should the retailer be dissatisfied, they have the right to refuse, by accepting, they take on the associated responsibilities. This £20 my be a con to you but not to me, this has allowed me to buy the RIF I want without the need of it being two toned, (also the sites I play at the most do not allow 2 tone rifs) or having to attend the 3 games needed for the UKRA, so it has saved time and hassle on my part. -

Just wanted to provide an update... I spoke with the retailer, and they requested the Just-Cos Cosplayer Insurance certificate along with a photo of me participating in an airsoft event. After reviewing these, they were satisfied, proceeded with processing my order, and confirmed that it will be delivered on Monday. For the casual players who may not have the opportunity to attend events regularly. It presents an alternative path to legally acquire a RIF from a UK-based retailer. -

JinxDuh, hats off to the marathon of efforts you've embarked upon for this cause. In a twist of fate, my inbox turned treasure chest with a couple of direct messages, leading me to unearth a few hidden retailer gems. Thus, the coveted rifle is on its way, sidestepping the need for any two-tone disguise. A hearty salute to you and the fellow enthusiasts whose passion, effort, and, let's face it, endearing nerdiness keep the wheels of this hobby spinning. You nerds are the unsung heroes of this saga. -

JinxDuh your thoughts and concerns about what may or may not happen keep to yourself, if you have a list of the 5 retailers that would be helpful to the topic otherwise everything else you add to this, is not relevant. -

I am asking which retailers accept the Just-Cos Cosplayer Insurance. You issue is really with the retailer that accepts this as they have the control over the sale. Hunter511 not sure what made you think I gave a fuck, as I have been desperately saying five times now, I don't care about your thoughts or concerns.
