  1. General consensus I'm seeing is that its bad. Spraying silicone all over the working parts of the gun, and most notably on the hop up and barrel assembly, is unwise, and will affect performance. Especially when all it takes is a quick grease on the parts that need it and you are good to go. Fyi the more reading i do the more i see how bad silicone oil in general is compared to grease. Watch this from 03:07 in for more on this.
  2. Been getting a bit more into GBB lately, and only really just discovered that the silicone in most airsoft gas is terrible for your guns long term, and all you need to do is a bit of greasing every now and then on the internals instead. Problem is i cant seem to find any non silicone "dry" gas in the UK. Abbey is the only one i can see which doesn't use silicone, but they still put some lubricant in it. People seem conflicted on weather ASG is dry or not, and others say its terrible gas anyway. Swiss Arms 130 seems like the best option but this doesn't seem to be available anywhere in the UK. Other option is just to use pure propane with an adaptor, but I'm not too sure about that. Thoughts on this please, as I'm feeling a bit lost. Used Nuprol gas for years and never gave it a second thought, but this has opened up a can of worms in my head lol.

Bit of an impulse buy this one was after briefly getting into the RE series a few years ago. its never been skirmished and only test shot a cupel times, so is brand new. Only thing I’ve done to it is coat the grip logos with a Matt varnish, in order to protect them wearing off and to give it more shine. This also has full auto capability, but I’ve never tried it. This is also of WEs Gen2 M9 range, so is much more durable than their older models. Selling as I have no need for it, but is a really nice pistol for airsoft use and collection purposes. Asking for £110 plus postage. These sell for as high as £150 so don’t miss the chance to grab one new at a low price!

An old airsoft favourite, I’m reluctantly selling this as I haven’t used it in years and looking into the new Northeast Sten guns. It’s old but still works and has never let me down, shooting surprisingly well for such a short barrel. Could use a full service due to its age but no problems so far. It’s fitted with the now discontinued MKV upgrade kit from vintage airsoft, drastically improving the ergonomics of this. This is easy to remove and the original stock is also included, should you want the classic MKII look. Comes with two 50 round metal mid caps, plus five 110 round mid caps from King Arms. (Please note one of these is broken but can probably be fixed) Rare piece to find now in this setup, so don’t miss the opportunity! Sling is not included, and shown only for display purposes. Asking for £180 plus postage for this.

(Price drop, now £85) On offer here is the KWC 1911A1. Plus 4 Co2 bulbs, and Co2 Allen key. Excellent replica of the classic WW2 and Vietnam era 1911. All metal, giving this a hefty and realistic feel. It being full metal plus Co2 powered gives this a very heavy and satisfying kick when shot, among the hardest you will get in Airsoft. Co2 Also means this thing is reliable and works all year round, even on those really cold days. Not had a hard life, being skirmished about 5 times, and had maybe double that amount of Co2 bulbs through it, so is in great condition. Only reason I'm selling this is to upgrade to a model with licensed trades. So don't miss the chance, collector or Airsofter to own this classic and functional replica. Looking for £100 plus postage.

  7. Shame about the mags. I have one of the newer ICS MP5A5s (CES-P model), with the etu and short stroke trigger and have found it an excellent, high quality gun. Recommend them, and much cheaper than the TM. Saying that, seeing these new TM MP5 has really tempted me to one of their SDs though. However the thought of buying a totally new set of mags when i already have over 10 standard MP5 mags really puts me off sadly. If they made mag converters like they do for their M4 mags, it might tip me over the fence.

British Army, Magnum Amazon Boots, size 9M. Nice, almost new pair, of the legendary Magnum Amazon boots, used extensively by the British army in the 00s. They are issued, with the soldiers name on the inside, but show very little use. Wouldn’t be surprised if they were tried on once or twice, then left in storage since then. Excellent boots, which will serve you well. £39 plus postage.

Reluctantly selling this one, as I am funding a new build and this simply doesn't get used anymore, despite its excellence. Bought this a few years ago from a seller who purchased it new, upgraded the hop, weathered the whole rifle, and then left it under his bed for a few years un-skirmished, until I picked it up. Arguably one of the best Airsoft K98s out there, being based on the renowned Tanaka system, however vastly improved with the addition of a gas regulating screw in the bolt nozzle, that allows you to adjust the FPS right up to 500 on .2s (I have it currently set in the 350-400 range, but very easy to tune to your needs). This was the rifle that convinced me, that when done right, gas can be better than spring. Its incredibly accurate, powerful, smooth as hell (no spring tension to contend with of course), and very very quiet. I've measured accurate shots right out to 70m, with the hop adjusted correctly, using the right BBs. Its all a very simple system as well, meaning there is not much to go wrong beyond the bolt or mags, and if they do its generally an easy fix, such as tightening the tension screw in the bolt allowing it to hit the mag valves with its fully intended force. Its not had a hard life, only being Skirmished a handful of times by me, and is in very good condition with hardly any dings or scratches. As mentioned before it has been artificially weathered by the previous owner so don't let this fool you for it being worn out and overused. With this also comes a rare Tanaka ZF41 1.5X, long eye relief scope, the absolute best of these replicas, and an item which on its own, is worth a fair bit. There are many cheep alternatives to this but none come close, and despite it only being 1.5X, it actually works very well on the rifle for Airsoft use. I believe it also has all the correct WW2 markings. It may not look like much, but trust me, its a excellent little scope,. I have 4 magazines for this, 3 of which are fully functional, the 4th is missing a spring that holds up the plate which releases the gas upon firing. However I must point out that even if the spring is replaced, I believe this to have issues releasing the gas. Its probably an easy fix for someone who knows what they are doing (I am not), and it is a leak free mag so should be mendable. Each mag holds around 10 shots, and you can also buy CO2 versions if you so desire. The guns replica cleaning rod sadly snapped off when the previous owner was packing the rifle to send to me, however it is included and I am sure someone can find a way to fix it back on. Also included is a replica K98 sling on the rifle, a gun bag for it, and my remaining .45 Longbow Sniper BBs. You can still find spare parts for this around, and thus I would recommend getting a spare bolt if you are going to use this regularly, as that is the only major moving part on the rifle and is a good way to future proof it, keeping this excellent rifle going indefinitely. This is a truly exquisite replica and Airsoft gun, one which you don't see come up often and one which I hope someone else can get many years of good use out of. Drop me a DM for any further inquiry's on this. Many Thanks.

  15. Its not an L1A1 though...
  16. Everything but the one replica people have been asking for years to come back. Might just have to accept this and finally get an Ares….
  17. Also sent them an email yesterday and got this reply. “Due to schedule delay , FAL/L1A1 still haven’t restock yet. We don’t have any production time in this moment, sorry.” So yeah as per most of the last decade at this point, I wouldn’t rely on this showing up again any time soon….
  18. The rifle after I added a sling and scope cover to finish it off. Also since have put a piece of tape over that “CE” mark for now haha.
  19. Ares themselves recently got back to me regarding the stock issue. They were very apologetic about it, and are going to send be a brand new stock free of charge. So very good customer service from them. But then again you shouldn't expect anything less at this price point.
  20. Some closeups and comparisons with the S&T SMLE. Scope is very nice, although it would of been good for them to include some scope caps too for protection. This Ares Long Branch replica, with an appropriate No4MKII Long Branch made original spike bayonet. Just a shame it doesn’t fit. Now to the unfortunate but-plate fitting issue. Sadly looks crudely done next to the neat job on the S&T SMLE.
  21. Had my one arrive on Tuesday, from Patrol Base. Haven’t had a chance to shoot or even handle it much yet, so here’s my initial out the box impressions so far. Largely very happy and impressed with the rifle. It’s not perfect and I do have some gripes, but it is close, and is probably the best you are going to get for an Airsoft No4 Lee Enfield, at this point. It’s finish is superb, being made of full steel, and a lovely dark wood stock. Comes pre oiled and wrapped in greasy paper on all the metal and moving parts which is nice and unlike S&Ts offering. Weight is very similar to the real thing, so it is heavy, but still less of a burden than I expected, even with the No32 scope on it. The bolt pull is very smooth and easy, much better than the slightly awkward and stiff pull on the S&T SMLE, and does somewhat replicate that of the real thing, from what I hear. The trigger however is very heavy, so much so, that I thought it was stuck on safety the first time I pulled it. This doesn’t cause too much of an issue once you get used to it, and it may loosen up a bit with use. The replica No32 Scope is very nice, and clear, although, I did find that you have to really get close to the lens to acquire that clear picture, which is fortunately helped by the cheek riser. On the flip side, my main gripe with it, comes from the fitting of the metal but-plate. It’s just not fitted well at all. Screwed in, off the mark so some metal is hanging out, and also leaving a gap on one side and the top. Its tighter on the other side as well, leaving a section of wood with some small splinters flaking off from the pressure. This seems very odd to me given the overall premium nature of this product, and attention to detail everywhere else on it. To compare, the but-plate on the S&T SMLE, is fitted perfectly all round, and that is a far cheaper product. Also some very small cracks where the but stock connects to the metal band. Maybe I was just unlucky with this and it’s nothing which can’t be overlooked to be honest, but it does bug me a bit given the price you pay, and otherwise excellent finish everywhere else. Also a bit of wobble with the front sight, but I think this can be screwed tight. I did try to fit a No4 MkII spike bayonet to it, as have seen photos of others do this on the rifle, but for whatever reason my bayonet did not fit on and I didn’t want to force it. So overall, on initial inspection, I do think this is a lovely and worth while Airsoft rifle as well as a superb replica of a No4T. Just a little annoying about the fitting issues, but that may just be bad luck on my part. I will have a good tinker and test fire with it over the weekend and share some photos here.
  22. Yeah, as sated before, it is very expensive, but i think the value for money here is what makes it. You will not find a No4T anywhere near this price. And i don't think we will see another airsoft version like this, at this build quality, and accuracy for some time. A No. 32 MK I Sniper Scope alone, costs almost as much as this Airsoft version, and that's for a reproduction.
  23. Well lets wait on some proper reviews, but i did message a few people who own these and they are all very happy with them.
  24. I agree, it is very expensive, but at the same time, you can't play airsoft with a working or deactivated Enfield, and a good one of those can cost up to £1000. Plus if you want a No4T Sniper, then you will be paying in the thousands for that. So yes it is expensive, but most of us will probably never get the chance to shoot or own a real No4T so this is the next best thing, and it does seem like a lovely replica from what I've seen so far.
  25. In stock now at patrol base. Unfortunately they bumped the price to 659 from 649, but still the cheapest offering for this in the UK. https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/ares-lee-enfield-rifle-no-4-mk-i-t-sniper-w-scope-and-mount
