Seems this is coming soon. However with a plastic stock and no sniper variant as originally stated, I do feel like this is being rushed out the door to compete wit S&T and Ares own recent Enfield releases.
-
Does make me wonder how much these things actually cost to produce. I remember seeing the S&T SMLE as low as £250 on some Asian websites, yet that sells for as a high as £450 on some sites. Yeah their prices do go up and down, however i still find them to be one of the cheaper sites. And I got lucky with their S&T SMLE when they had it up for £299.
-
£707.99 now at Daves Custom, haha. Patrol base have the cheapest one at £649.99. Not that it’s cheap either way lol. And still no proper reviews beyond RWA. Hoping Neo35 can get his hands on one of these to give us an in depth look.

Seems apart from S&T, we’re out of luck for decent affordable Enfields….

https://youtu.be/PjqmmYJl228 Red wolf review of the rifles. Unfortunately (but kinda expected) it seem these rifles have sub par performance for a ridiculous £700 price tag. I’ll stick to my S&T for now. Only cost £299 and seems to perform better than this bank account draining paper weight…. Seems like this will inevitably join the pile of overpriced junk historic guns along with the likes of RWAs Enfield and ares own L1A1. When will these Airsoft manufactures learn! Oh well, here’s hoping for the G&G and maybe S&T to manufacture a No4
-
Agreed, not even thinking about buying an airsoft rifle at that ridiculous price unless it’s amazing. If it turns out to be yet another pretty looking paperweight, then I’ll pass. If S&T can make a good rifle for £250-300 then Ares can too… I understand it being a bit more with the scope, however almost £700 is jut extortion…. Looking a lot like the RWA No4, and we all know how that turned out…
-
Yeah I’d wait a while to see what the performance is like and the prices to come down a bit before I buy one. I might also wait for the CO2 version if that does become a thing.

I mean S&Ts Enfield was originally priced at like £450, but then we get sites listing them for like 250-300 after the initial buzz, so I wouldn’t trust any prices for now and wait.

Idk. If they can put out a gas rifle on par with something like the PPS Kar98, then could be even better than this and more realistic. But if it ends up just another standard G&G historic Gas rifle with crap performance then yeah maybe. Also this relies on Ares not making theirs perform like crap too and overpricing it to the moon.....

No one makes Lee Enfield's for years, now they all come at once haha. Although knowing Ares, they will probably charge like £600 for it..... Though the No4T sniper version is 😍

Personally I would never put an optic on an SMLE. Historically this rifle was rarely scoped, and even though there was one sniper version it was not really favoured and rarely seen. An Enfield No4 on the other hand, i would love to see an airsoft version scoped one day (G&G im looking at you), but this isn't that model sadly. Also drilling some modern rails on this 100 year old rifle, is just a big no from me lol. But that's just my preference. If you really wanted it, at a push i would suggest this configuration but would be very difficult and expensive to fabricate.
-
Advantage of gas is a much quieter, easier to pull and more realistic bolt action. However you may have problems in winter and have less rounds to hold, but shouldn't be unserviceable. Both have their positives and negatives. One of each i guess. I have the PPS gas Kar98K, which is an excellent rifle that really tuned me on to the idea of gas rifles.
-
Haha yeah. Though i like that S&T went for the SMLE, while G&G are going for the No4. Hope they are still working on the No4 T sniper, that would be ideal for me.
-
Found this vid on YT. Seems they are still working on it surprisingly. Also they have moved the gas port to the buttstock.
-
-
Anyone know if you need to lubricate the bolt at all (seems a bit stiff) or if it will just loosen up with use?
-
Me too just now. Very much looking forward to it.
-
Yeah man, never settle for something which is clearly overpriced. I always knew these were worth like £350 at the most (they are just a springer after all in a nice body) so was a clear no until i saw more realistic prices. Unfortunately these people know how much demand there is for Enfield's so will ramp up the price unnecessarily any chance they get, as they know people get exited and will pay way overprice to finally have one of these.... I'm not so sure about that. All their other S&T rifles have sold for about that price or less. So I'm pretty confident it will stay.
-
Patrolbase have them "coming soon" up for £299.99. Much more reasonable price! https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/s-and-t-airsoft-lee-enfield-rifle-no-1-mk-iii-bolt-action-rifle

With the S&T Enfield releasing now, I was wondering if anyone had info on the G&G No4, if it’s still even a thing?
-
Well that sucks then. Guess i will have to pass on this then as just another overpriced airsoft Enfield.
