=D Finally, Land Warrior have got hold of an MP5 charging handle thing for me to buy so I can fix my MP5 and stop it from gathering dust in the cupboard. Also, I'm off to Patrol Base again tomorrow to pick up my working M16, as well as getting them to sort out the wiring on my L85, then on Monday I'll finally be able to order the ACOG mount I've been after for ages. Everything's coming together and ought to be wed by next weekend, all ready for my first skirmish since before Christmas

Just got an update about my M16 from the fantastic guys at Patrol Base, they have basically enlightened me to the fact that I was given a broken gun, even though I was led to believe it was practically brand new. I've just had to buy a new spring, piston and piston head for it because the cylinder compression was shot to pieces, the spring was knackered and the piston was in need of a trip to the dental hospital because all the teeth on it were buggered beyond belief. So that's a kick in the bollocks. Including labour and postage it's come to £60, I was only expecting to spend £25. Though I guess it's good that they've sorted it out for me for such a low cost, I thought parts like that would be quite expensive.

So long as it's usable it's alright, it's unlikely I'll use it anyway, I'll probably just keep it to lend to mates who occasionally come airsofting to try it out, so they can save money on hiring kit. When I've got more money I might upgrade it a bit and turn it into a SAM-R. I'm sure the consistency issues can be sorted out without much trouble. New piston/piston head and a higher grade spring? I'm still getting to grips with AEG internals. GBBRs are so much simpler lol.

Is it a good gun when it's working? I can't wait to get mine back from the shop once it's back up to 360 fps.

I will! Anyway, madbull barrel and hop has made my L85 become a sort of effing awesome sniper of death, except it can fire on full auto and looks a lot cooler. However, it's only fully sniper-tastic on the highest spring tension and using .25s or higher, so I fear I might have to either use it in a crapper config, or limit to semi for use as a DMR and I'd rather not do either. Anyone know the chrono results on all the spring settings? I need it to be lower than 370 on the highest one. I looked on Youtube for an answer but all the tests are done in the US and the spring setting isn't ever given. Also I'm pretty sure the US spec guns tend to have a higher FPS anyway.

Spent about £100 at PB on a barrel, hop parts, lipo batteries and a charger, some new boot laces and I'm sure there was something else as well but I can't remember it for the life of me... All in all, not that exciting lol. How in all of holy hell can you afford all that Chris? Do you win the lottery daily or something? Lol.

Shurrup Cam, almost all of it is working, I can sort the wires out fine, given time to buy some different connectors. As for the barrel not working, I wasn't really expecting it to since it wasn't even meant for an AEG. Everything else has been fine, bought another barrel today and hop and they've gone in no problem, not had chance to test them yet though on account of it being pitch black outside lol.

Just bought some lipos for my L85, but there's so much extra wire that they can't fit into the damn gun! >:-(

Parts just came from Firesupport. I've managed to get the barrel to fit my L85, despite it being for an L96, but it's causing a billion and one jams and the accuracy, range and fps are all reduced by probably more than percentages can explain. The gun was about 80% awesome and I was hoping this upgrade would tip the scale, but instead it's made it about -99.999% awesome about as far from awesome as it can be whilst it still actually works.

Is that tomorrow I've got to go into Uni to submit some assessment work because it's a bloody stupid physical hand in. Which means I'll either miss the delivery, or my mum will get it, which means she'll probably see the cost of it and then I'll probably die. Not unless you're visiting them as frequently and for the same reason that other people visit adult, explicit sites. Which I assume you're not... Right?

It strikes me as something Finius would do lol, the writing style and story telling-esque-ness are just the same and obviously it's also truly hilarious. The "To ensure accuracy" and "Obviously, this child needed to re-read Sun Tzu." were by far my favourite parts lol.

My K/D peaked at about 1.89, then I realised I'd have to play rush for a while to unlock some stuff and then it plummeted, I hate the map boundaries on rush, they're too restricting, defenders have no where to go and attackers are often bottle necked. I only play rush now if I fancy making a billion points playing medic lol. I've got nearly 7000 kills, so getting my K/D up by even .1 can take quite a while and every time I die I have to get at least 2 kills to make up for it, so one super bad game can take a whole day to correct =[

I play to improve my K/D, I refuse to let it fall below 1.75, but I play my role as well, I'm rank 45+3, I'll spot people as a sniper and hunt down other snipers, rarely let a kill take more than one shot to help preserve my own, and my team's position, I surpress and provide ammo as a machine gunner, I sneak about planting mines and shooting down choppers as Engineer and heal and revive everyone whilst playing Assault. My tactics tend to be to work the flanks and act as a spawn point just as Liam said. It's much better for your team's tickets if you move along the edge of the map until you're within effective range of the enemy objectives, getting killed on the journey by snipers or machine gunners doesn't do anyone any good. Oh and I only play Hardcore.

I'm angry because WolfArmouries need to update their online payment security, so until they do I have to suffer in silence without much needed parts for my L85, I could have ordered yesterday and had them by now, but no! D=

Apparently the fps is adjustable? I wasn't aware of that but the seller just emailed me. I imagine it's on the lowest setting at the moment. Does anyone know how to do it? Increasing the tension should theoretically solve the two shot burst semi mode from occurring and possibly also stop the gears from over revving and making horrible burning smells. It's a no-cost, possible fix so I'll be trying it anyway once I've figured out how. The hop probably is at fault, shots were flying in all directions and it was rather inconsistent. There must be a very small contact point on the hop and the barrel might be quite wide at stock, does anyone know the stock diameter? I think upping the spring tension, getting a new hop and barrel and possibly using a lower voltage battery ought to sort me out. What does anyone else think?

I've tightened the motor screw and now the noise isn't as bad, though it's still shooting badly, the fps really does seem dire, even with the hop set right it's hard to hit a 5 by 5" target at 20m... Though it is like being in a hurricane when you go outside today, so I'll test again when it's calmed down. I'm using an 8.4v 3700mah large type battery. The seller did say to use a lower voltage one to help it feed better though, but as far as I'm aware he'd been using 8.4s as well as he sent me 2 with the gun and the feeding seems fine. Though semi does become two shot burst every now again and then the gun locks up... So yeah. I'll get a lower voltage battery and see if that doesn't help the smell/heating. But, regarding the dustcover, it wasn't really that much of a complaint, I can cope with it being open all the time, but there isn't enough space inside the ejection port for there to physically be enough room for the dustcover to close... I remember reading somewhere that you couldn't close them on G&P Armalites because they stay so true to the aesthetics, are you sure there's not something wrong with yours? Lol. Thanks for the feedback anyway. I'm sure changing the battery will help and the rattling has almost gone. Just the fact that it shoots badly that's still an issue.

Just got my G&P M16 in the post from my swap deal, I'm not so much angry about it as I am surprised at G&P's legendary quality. It really isn't all that! My WE was much, much, much nicer and WE are meant to be utterly pants. The only thing this has that my WE didn't is trades. The weight and balance is all wrong, the front sights aren't tall enough, it feels puny when compared to my gas rifle =[ Kinda disappointed with it. Plus, the dustcover won't shut because G&P replicated the latch thats on it and because AEG ejection ports don't have the shallow part in them all that shallow, the dust cover latch stops it from closing... It also makes a really weird, metallic, springy rattle sound when you fire it and I'm not sure if that's just what they do, or if it's broken in some way and I've not had time to set the hop right yet, but the range and fps seem quite poor annnd, it smells of hot burningness when you fire it on auto for about 20+ rounds.

Worst Christmas Eve ever... Just came up to bed and there was a gigantic bulge in my wall where the ceiling has leaked water under my wall paper somehow and it then proceeded to explode all over my bed. So my bed is soaked, my wall needs redecorating and the roofers need to come back to fix the leak AGAIN, instead of diverting it into another place, I've had to reorganise where everything is to stop it dripping on my head, not a good thing to happen before Christmas. On another note, I just unwrapped a Silverback laser grip for my Sig which has so far failed to point in anything like the right direction, be so impossible to adjust that it might as well not do at all and, in removing the original grips, a small component has fallen out of the guns workings and I have no idea what it is or where it goes. The gun seems to work fine without it but it's still annoying. I also ruined a screw thread trying to attach the new grips tight enough for them to properly follow the contours of the gun. So all in all, a waste of my mum's £40. Which is a mega sh*tty shame, as I thought they were going to be awesome. Bah humbug.

I bet that was epic, it's a shame you weren't filming it, that would've just about guaranteed you a mention on the BF3 FB page and probably a Youtube partnership because of all the views lol.

On the beta I got 32 for 0 on Metro with the SV98, I can't believe the stats didn't carry over, the best streak I've had on the full game is only a measly 16 =[
