Cool to see you're modding the OE BCG for more FPS rather than going down the NPAS route. Any consistency or running issues? I'm looking to build a second upper. I saw on the Eagle6 website a full upper assembly for a CQBR on there for £280 inc. barrel and handguard etc. but I only need the upper receiver and the gubbins inside. Has anyone looked into or priced this sort of thing up before? Was going to do a DMR upper I can quickly throw on. Also how are we semi locking lads?

I get on well with Jack Pyke Tough Tape. It’s got a felt material finish so it doesn’t shine and it feels nice in your hands, it’s about £9 for a roll (more than enough for a rifle) from SkirmshopUK The camo works really well especially in a woodland environment.

Myself and a few others use Coleman’s propane from go outdoors

I was going to see if one of my machinist friends could turn on a lathe an extender in the same shape as a nuprol can nozzle as I personally think the propane adaptors don't open the valves properly causing the leakage.

propane is something a fair few of us have tried. The main issue is getting a bottle adaptor to work with the MWS mags. i use Coleman’s propane for my pistol and gas sniper rifle I buy it from GoOutdoors for £9 for a 400g bottle. With so many people having issues I’m going to have a look into a solution hopefully we can work it out and we can all save money

Genuine or replica Vector? Would be an awesome piece of kit for milsims? also I ran a warm load out at the weekend and just stuck a hoodie on over everything. 😂

to be honest I found it easiest shooting both eyes open even when using a magnified rifle scope. Only time I close my "off" eye is when the sun gets in the way. love both of my vortex sights though, wouldn't use anything lower quality nowadays.

put an empty mag in and rack the bolt, does it lock back? could be it’s not fully cycling to allow to the bolt catch to lock it back. If it locks back try filling a mag full of gas and cock it then fire does it lock back then? in regards to my MWS, it’s been pretty faultless this weekend at UCAP Vendetta (Former HMP Gloucester). The temperature has been my only limiting factor as I was running at about 0.9J on green gas. However I have had no cycling issues so I think next outdoor game I’ll have to swap onto red gas.

On this topic, how many mags are people carrying for different scenarios? Im currently using 6+1 in the rifle, however the games I go to are usually quite long, I found when I went to DogTag their games were too short to necessitate 7 mags and could have gotten away with 4 really.

Decided as I’ll end up doing more CQB and I quite like my hearing I would get myself some decent comms capable ear pro. I was considering going for Earmors but in the end decided on going for peltors due to reading so many bad reviews on Earmors as it would have ended up costing me the same after a few Earmor headsets and PTTs.

Just ordered a Condor Operator plate carrier and mag pouches to match, fancied giving them a try as they hold a price point between realsteel (WAS, LBT etc.) and cheap chinese crap (KombatUK, 8Fields & Viper) only thing I cheaped out on was I wanted to try one of those plastic quick mag holsters, see how long it takes me to lose a mag now 😂. Hopefully holds up nicely as I thought a plate carrier, triple stanag mag (open top), double stanag mag (foldover top), double pistol mag pouch and a double frag pouch for £160 wasn't too bad.

Same here, I got a load of issued ones from a matey on eBay, think it was £15 for 6, get genuine magpul ones they’re about £2 more expensive than the repros except they last more than 15mins and actually grip the mags.

The first few times you fill them after doing the green gas mod you’ll feel like you’re there forever roughly I would say 30-40 seconds a mag but it saves you doing a fill every other reload to every 3 or 4 reloads. For a free mod it’s 100% worth doing. filling 7 modded mags you’ll go through a can of green gas after 2 full fills of each mag. But that should last all day if not longer.

how much were you looking to spend? Can't fault Warrior pouches however they're not the cheapest.

the belt wouldn’t have done much help for your back unless it was sitting dead on your waist. I use a plate carrier and frag belt. I have been running with only 4 mags now I’m stepping up to 7 I’ve got a plan for placement. 3 across the front of my plate carrier, 2 on the right side cumberbund (under my right armpit and then a single on my belt on the left. However for a battlesim tomorrow I’m having 6 across the front as I haven’t got a double and single stanag pouch yet. Doesn’t feel too bad when you even the weight out with 3litres of water on the back.

Just finished doing the green gas mod to my 3 new mags, forgot how annoying the springs were; one nearly took my eye out.
