  1. With HPA the concern is often how easy it is to just pump up the psi whilst in the field. Tournament locks should resolve this, but I've never seen a site enforce them. As you say, my SRS can joule creep as much as my hpa guns but that comes with a minimum engagement and is single shot. The big concern for me would be getting hit full auto at close range with a creeping gun on heavy weights. I did some testing recently as you should always be aware how your guns behave with heavy weights. My MTW DMR jumps from 1.88J to 2.61J when I use 0.48's (39% creep) 469mm barrel My full auto HPA guns jump from 1.14J to 1.41J on 0.32. (23% creep) 300mm barrel
  2. I went for the 10inch sbr initially when I ran it as a L119a2(ish), then just extended the barrel later on when I added the longer mk12 rail. If you intend to replace the included rail straight away, buying it with the 7inch rail might save you a little ££ on the configurator. If you're play style is full auto then I would say just use the normal line with a tank. The small 13ci stock tanks are not going to last long on 35rps full auto but might be a good choice for a dmr.
  3. If you haven't set your dwell yet then that may help extend the shots per bulb. Depending on joule creep if the site limit is based on J then running heavier bbs with less psi might also help. Keep an eye on the joule creep. @450 fps on 0.2 (1.88J) my MTW puts out a scary 2.61J (530 fps equivalent) on a 0.48. My Balystik reg worked fine (some have had issues), the main reason I bought the SFR was so that I could switch hpa guns during the day without needing to chrono again. Multiple regs/bottles comes in handy. I think with the Phoenix there is a lot of fine adjustment and patience required, which is why opinions vary so much. I also bought a Maxx spacer but the only thing that put me off is the fact with a normal hop unit you then need to remove the front rail/outer barrel in order to remove it from the receiver. I could do with an open field in the new year to test barrel/hop combo's, I'll also try a G&G green due to the hype on the groups. Given that my SRS barrel length is similar to my MTW (mk12) I have a PDI 05, TNT s+ and a lambda to pick from for both guns. I had the TNT in my SRS for a year, wasn't too bad, the only issue I had was trying to get rhop patches. The Snipetor TNT patches seemed to be too thick and protrude into the barrel too much causing a jam on first shot. They are not advertised as TNT S+ and I could never find a specific s+ drop in patch.
  4. Might be of use. On watching the vid, part 2 is probably going to be more relevant when it's uploaded.
  5. I acquired a cyma SVD recently from a friend and wasn't sure if the hyrda would fit. Like you say there is a cyma svd f2 kit but no one has stock in the EU, and it was £500+ Ending up getting the mancraft VSS that was on the classifieds, will probably sell the SVD as boneyard since I don't have much confidence in putting it back together.
  6. I got rid of the 33g co2 stock from my aeg inferno in the end. The big issue is that every time you want to test it, you waste £3/4 per bulb, investigating a leak can get expensive. I imagine a 12g stock with the 33g adapter would be cheaper to test, but that introduces the issues around puncture depth. I still use my MTW with an airline and it doesn't bother me anymore. With a leaf suit over the top the line is less likely to snag anyway. (I normally run it as a DMR at my local site) If I don't feel like running a tank on the day, I'll just use the SRS. I have been tempted by the Aero stock, but with another 3+ hpa guns I'm always going to need a tank/line on some of them so might as well stick with a line for all of them. Personally I think the air tank stocks ruin the aesthetics more than the air line. It might be something I look at next year, as it makes more sense on a DMR I guess. Bought a redline SFR mini in the summer which I have been impressed with, only £115 from HighPressure at the moment (1 in stock), I ended up paying a lot more for one sourced from the EU due to lack of stock at the time. My Phoenix hop arrive on Friday after ordering back in July, looking to set this up with a pdi 05 barrel and cnc arm. So should be as good as it gets with the mtw. Lots of info on the MTW Facebook group, a lot of people are also using mods from https://www.silentindustries.eu/ such as the cnc arms and nubs. The owner of that site is very active on the group regarding hopup/barrel combo's. Due to breaking the hopup clip a couple of times, I have 2 spare standard hopup units (minus the clips) if anyone wants one. Useful for testing multiple barrel hop combo's. I find with highpressureuk, if it's in stock their service is fine. Beyond that it's not good.
  7. Had been considering a thermal scope for a while but ended up going for NV when an ex demo came up for sale.
  8. I have noticed in the last few weeks, that games have been more of a hose fest than normal.
  9. Inferno gen 2. Was just testing the zip tied rail. Looking to get a better ir unit, maybe a dbal
  10. Boneyard MP5 that I rescued 12 months ago
  11. DSG, the bump stock of the airsoft world
  12. I'd had similar symptoms with an inferno in another gun, and it turned out to be the dwell. No matter how much pressure I used it wouldn't go above 390fps. 0.20 @ 350fps is around 80psi for me. (I have a custom line from highpressure which I'm assuming yours is too)
  13. On my MTW I just use the standard airline with a ninja 68ci 4500 tank. I bought the package deal from highpressure with the Balystik reg and 48ci, at some point I may get a redline reg but I've been happy with the balystik so far. I had a frankenm4 dmr built from bits that used to have a mancraft pdik in it. I decided to buy the new aeg 33g co2 stock that wolverine have released. The idea being that I could make it work with the pdik to give me a no line dmr for milsims. I don't think the pdik is compatible with the co2 stock due to way the it takes up the entire upper part of the gearbox shell, so I ended up buying an inferno gen 2 and dual air kit. I've not had chance to skirmish this yet but it appears to be working well. For normal skirmish days I switch between the srs and mtw depending on my mood/game mode. I find defend games are better for sniping from the back whilst the full auto helps with attacking. Sometimes I'll take both if I know it's a short game or I'm in a static position. My local site has increased dmr levels from 400 to 450 in recent months, so the dmr may get more use in the future. The 33g co2 cartridges are quite expensive so I'll only ever use those at milsims. I prefer a dmr over the srs for milsims as I find people are less likely to call a single hit (multicam is especially bullet proof) and you typically come up against several people in groups. The pdik has ended up in an mp5sd which should be interesting as a silent dmr, but may get moved on along with some of my aegs. In my experience and months of reading the FB groups Don't buy a reaper unless it's going into an MTW, very picky on alignment and lots of people seem to have issues with it Don't buy a co2 stock if you are using full auto as you'll get the usual co2 cool down issues, leaks, large fps fluctuations etc. Co2 33g cartridges are expensive @£4.40 each from highpressure, whilst testing and installing I used over £40 worth Co2 stocks won't be as consistent as your air line, think 5-10 fps variance. 33g Co2 cartridge change is quick and easy, I imagine changing a bottle on the wraith aero would be a pita in game People with 12g Co2 stocks can have issues with setting puncture depth and leaks, you don't have this issue with the 33g as they screw into the regulator If you're running around firing lots of full auto, just stick with the airline Co2 stocks are going to have more maintenance due to the seals In hindsight, if I had known that I'd need another hpa engine I might have considered a reaper m mtw with a wraith aero stock. 33g co2 stock is a good choice for a non mtw dmr, especially with the dual air kit but for normal skirmishes I would just run the airline.
  14. I run .32 on my mtw, and apart from external changes its stock in terms of hop/barrel. Out the box I don't think anything else comes close. Plug it in, set the dwell and off you go. I would do your research if you plan to use a wraith stock as they can be a bit more troublesome, especially the co2 stock.
  15. Wolverine 33g co2 stock for an aeg body Odin speed loader (repro finally broke) Another tag co2 tube Fist 2 filling station
  16. I've started using the BLS .50's, at first I had no idea where they were going but after a while they are easier to see. Are they any better than .48's? No idea yet, only got them because they were cheap from TG.
  17. I have read a lot of bad stories about their mags. I'll be sticking to my pts mags. I like that the upper fits the hpa unit, but its a pita to change the hop unit. You have to remove the outer barrel first, which is ridiculous. Added a magnifier and l119a2 silencer/flash hider. Just need a real foregrip now.
  18. MTW with a few external changes.
