  1. My 2 patches from my Gold donor subscription to UKAPU just arrived http://prntscr.com/ijboup
  2. All the hate for drum mags but hey, it's not like I'm a drum mag purist lol. I still have my midcaps for when i can use my rig. I'm not gonna use it to rain bbs down, I'm a 3 shot burst kind of guy... Just I physically cannot get all my kit into a backpack for train travel if i take my rig... and that's only a condor recon which is tiny... as for this I do plan on adding the lights and hits on the mags still count in my eyes so audible hits on the mags is a plus lol.
  3. You may be right... I can't really say I've looked too hard at vectors lol. Plungers definitely are a poor way of doing it though... Getting thumb cramps just thinking about it! Lol.
  4. Normal plungers always work lol. I personally have no idea on if adapters have been made yet for other types of speedloaders as (from what i can gather) the vectors all have different mags depending on their brand lol. Could be wrong there though.
  5. Yeah i think i need to remove a coil on mine tbh lol. Considering my CRB was preowned and a bit abused... I had an o ring replaced, and at my last chrono it fired 350 on the dot with my hop up set to 8... I was told to dump a full hi cap mag through it which I did, this bought the fps down to 342... But it started creeping up again with each shot... Really surprised at how hot these fire out the box even when its UK spec lol
  6. Shhhh... It's not like I plan to use the 3000rd capacity. I'd probably not even breach the 500 bbs used mark lol... Just saves on overall weight and means I can feel my hits more often as ill have no extra stuff on in the way
  7. I know Trig wont be happy to see this but erm... May have bought a dual drum mag lol. Wont actually use it with my.krytac though for weight reasons... But my G&G is at the techs still and will be all week... I mainly bought the mag in order to cut out wearing my rig and dump pouch for CQB and it also means its less weight overall to carry in a backpack when travelling by train and such. So I can justify this expense... http://prntscr.com/ijbody http://prntscr.com/ijboi0 Just waiting on my magpul ms4 sling... Which should be tomorrow when my mate visits... If he has remembered it lol.
  8. This thread has slipped to the second page... We cant have that! Lol I bought a Pinty reflex sight, sight protector in clear and orange, and spare batteries off Lewis last week and it arrived today Decided to chuck it on my Krytac while my G&G is away at the techs for a deans conversion. http://prntscr.com/ijbnut http://prntscr.com/ijbnzr http://prntscr.com/ijbo2w
  9. Odds are it's recommended to use 7.4s by UK sites but that's more down to warranty than anything else. 11.1s can be used on Krytacs if they have a MOSFET and ETU, just keep the C rating lower (15-25C is normally used) I'm pretty sure the Vector does have both. Personally I use 11.1V 15-25C on my Krytac MK2 CRB (completely different gun style, I know, but same brand, and contains MOSFET and ETU), but if you really aren't sure/worried about the battery killing your gun, 7.4s will give you no problems.
  10. So since I never learn... I decided to disassemble my Krytac CRB, and just hoped I didn't wreck the spring again. Lucky for me the krytac is built a little differently and the receiver slides right off, not up and away like on the G&G... So no issues :D

  12. So took apart my Wild Hog today to just try and see how easy it is to do this. Turns out it's easy :D Only thing is I'v e managed to do something to the bolt so instead of being a non locking bolt for hopup access... it just sits freely wherever i put it and i have to manually push the bolt forward again to hide the hopup... no idea what I've done but won't complain as it makes it easier to access lol.

I can't get it to sit any better so I guess the spring is just stretched out too much now. looks like this is a really common problem... how can it be stopped? I mean, I guess first time around I didn't realise that there was a notch that catches the charging handle so if do it gently it may prevent it but wow... one of those inherent flaws in a design i guess. thanks for the replies guys :) I'll get my hands on a new spring asap.

Yea this happened to me on my most recent change of bucking... Annoying, but I got a spring change done at proairsoftsupplies for like £5

Fair enough, I'm getting the gun swapped over to Deans as well as the batteries this weekend so I'm sure the tech will replace it for me for a couple extra quid... At least I know what's actually happened now lol. Part of the learning curve into tech work I guess :)

  13. 8am, in a place I've never been before? It must be airsoft time at a new site... Already seen a guy go by with his LARP gear on for CQB... so... Let's see how this goes...

  14. It's like it was never there, perfect! lol. Great job, I love it
  15. So for the last couple days I have been trying to find the best way to cram an 11.1 Lipo into the crane stock of the G&G Wild Hog.
I contact a gun tech as I need to get the wires shortened and a Deans conversion done anyway, I mentioned the trouble I had and he said "Are you trying to cram the stick down the buffer tube without moving the ECU?"
So guess which idiot just found out he can move the ECU out the way because it's on a huge wire?
    This one...

At least now that I have found out and moved the ECU to the right hand side... I can fit 2 sticks in the buffer tube and 1 in the left side now lol.

  16. So I'm home alone and like any airsofter, I wanted to take a picture of my gear... Phone only has a 3 second timer though so this was a couple of rushed attempts, narrowed to 1 half decent photo lol. http://prntscr.com/ib2lnf My CQB kit. Ignore the MOLLE nuprol holster clip on my chest, could not be bothered to take it off for the sake of the photo lol. Wish I did take it off now though... Nice and lightweight although the hoodie can make me stupidly hot, but it's the only black long sleeves I have at the moment. The cargo pants are actually black. Despite looking blue here... Will get a better photo eventually lol
  17. I like this load out btw! (To cut down post length i removed the images except for the best pose lol)
  18. I plan to at some point... Eventually... But im up in Staffordshire its like a 3 hour drive just to get there.
  19. @Skara Wow, even your skirmish is more competitive than the stuff at my site lol... Generally just capture the landmarks both sides attack/defend them. Team with most landmarks at end wins.... Or actual story driven where the most enforced rule typically is "defenders cant cross the border" which is down the centre of the map usually.
  20. Alright I will have a read of that at some point. Thanks Although that still requires me gathering the courage to take a gun apart. Hmm... Guess I can ask in the Classifieds about a cheap one thats already broken so then I can break/lose as many parts as I want lol.
  21. DSG? *goes to google then comes back before i even typed anything in* faster if someone explains it because I am a lazy teen-im 20... hmm... ok guess I better be adult and google it myself lol... (I started airsoft in September and have zero tech skills lol, scared to take apart either one of my guns in case i break/lose a part in them) Oh and I second the "if it works, it works" same with the "if it's stupid but works, it works" approaches
  22. So the Magpul style sling I got with my Krytac bundle decided to run thin and I don't trust it with something like a gun on it. (If it was CYMA then it would be fine, but not my G&G or my Krytac) So being the "brand elitist" I am. I've got a genuine Magpul MS4 Gen 2 sling on the way...(friend in america is buying then bringing it with him when he comes here to visit so I'm dodging shipping costs) Cheaper this way. Guess I'll just run slinglessfor now and avoid using my krytac due to its weight.
  23. The HPA setup that I will want and the fine tuning of the gun lol. It's more the fact I can't get the trigger response out of the AEGs so wouldn't quite be a "proper" setup. Obviously it'll do the job. Just not gonna feel quite right.
  24. They are very tactical for the application of speedsofting Personally, I'd love to give speedsoft a go but the cost of the gear behind it for a proper speedsofter is probably a little outside my budget right now lol *looks over at his skirmish kit* got a bit money happy there... still not even bought the stuff for maintenance on it... hmm... I think I need a payrise... But yeah, speedsoft looks like a lot of fun to me... Guess ill have to make do with just general skirmish kit for CQB for now though. (not that it's a bad thing, 11.1 Lipos and all that so can get some decent speed going)
