Went to the shop, wanting to buy a lot of stuff, ended up buying only a pistol taco clone..

Holy shit, this new owner is so sad.

Doesn't play airsoft, doesn't know what's in stock, can't tell multicam from m81.

Another quality shop gone to shit I guess.

  2. 1j gun vs 0.4s, will it end well?

      Bbs are grey :P

if I can track them and they actually perform on my gun, I may even use them in a skirmish.

if not, I'll stick to 0.3/0.32s

Also can't dodge bbs if you can't locate me :P

if you use the range you can be shooting at folk who dont think you can hit them so they wont dodge

  3. Yes. The top should sit right in line with your nipples, so that your belly is clear of anything. Depends primarily on how comfortable you feel though. I like my rigs to sit high, others like them low and sloppy around their bellies
  4. She's not UP to the task. It was terrible, made no sense. Also no, I'm not sorry.
  5. Actually lost faith in online reviews when I bought the Helikon TMR. The only review I could find was from an italian airsoft channel in which the guy said: yeah... it's a small rig... has M4 open top pouches... it's very small... for around 6 minutes without showing a single feature of the rig. basically bought it blind and got lucky, as it is an awesome rig. But there was a serious chance of me throwing €100 in the bin. Now, on a side note, I'll probably update the review I posted in here, I've had it for a while now. I do agree with you, reviews from people affiliated to shops/brands aren't reliable.
  6. That's sad to hear. Although it is just a rumor, I wouldn't be surprised if someone charged for reviews, given the huge amount of super biased reviews you find online. Just take a look at what happened with the SSP1.. Everybody jerking off at Nov's new toy, riding the hype train from the SSG24 (which, price apart, is a good gun) and then the masses ended up with a non functioning pistol in their hands. Kinda the same happened with the ssx, although this time I saw/read way more critiques than with the ssp and people were prepared to deal with issues.
  7. Help me understand it if I got it wrong. So, let's say I post a loadout article/video in which I explain why I have come up with what I've come up with (lmao), I get a list in the comments of things I've done wrong. Is it the meaning of your post? If so, I'd say it's a good thing, as it opens up for discussions and someone may see something I couldn't and vice versa. Unless of course people type shit like "duh should of pickt X brand cuz Y person haz it reeeee", in that case they can die in a fire, with Y person and X brand. And their pet turtle. This is what I mean about gun reviews, 90% of them are just unboxings with a quick and useless chrono/accuracy test. You get the big views if it's something relatively new or popular, but is it quality content?
  8. By "unedited" I mean cutting out the part in which you wait for 10 minutes to get medic'd back in or a walk to regen, but I'd like to see more scenes of what revolves around the bb slinging part, idk, gearing up, some banter, missing the opponent, looking for a good position to set up an ambush, that kind of stuff. Won't give you big views, but imo it would be a more immersive experience. Cheater videos ruined airsoft and only fueled hate towards some "celebs". Amped Airsoft's old videos on MW were good because they showcased the whole milsim experience, not the engagements only. Makes sense, but most of the times the screen is just black with a tiny ass hole in which it gets really hard to see where the bb is going and all that. Remove the black part and it's fixed. No BF/COD style hit markers, they're just lame and we already discussed them in another thread. I check LO videos quite regularly for new ideas, recently I've gone through every corner of the internet to find a decent belt loadout video/article, as I was in the process of building my new sniper kit. Couldn't find a single one worth watching/reading. Nobody who explained WHY he did that or bought this. Also most of the videos/articles have been made by either 13yo kids who just started playing or by retailers who need/want to sell their products (Novritsch & friends are included in this category).
  9. Just asking for your opinion, I'm not planning to make a blog or create an airsoft YouTube channel of any kind, honestly can't be arsed to record and edit gameplay or even buy cameras to do so. I often take my gopro with me but most of the times I leave it in the car, and the few times I actually record something it's mostly me cursing at thorns stuck in my butt.. What do you look for? I personally like genuine, unedited gameplay, with some commentary here and there to explain what happens, longish videos (15+ minutes). Obviously no clickbait titles, no insane scopecam headshot montages unless it a sniper video, but then the overlayed reticle has to be minimal, just a very light and thin cross on the full rectangular picture, not those circle shits we see nowadays.. I don't mind guns/gear reviews if they are well done, with proper explanations on key parts, breakdowns, showing what the internals of a gun look like when new and used. Proper chrono and range test with different bb weights. EpicAirsoftHD style, he used to put guns in a vice to remove any operator error. Loadout videos would be appreciated if the authors took their time to explain why that pouch is there, what real purpose it serves and some tips/tricks they found out over the years. Especially on sniper kits, showing off a beautifully crafted leaf suit is cool and all, but then a "how to" process is nowhere to be seen. Also chest rigs/belts are rarely well shown, most of them are a bunch of random pouches thrown in without a reasoning process behind. Some good ones are the Amped Airsoft kit videos for Milsim West, detailed explanations of why a particular thing is there. A good blog imo should look like this: https://stipsniper.com/ Your thoughts?
  10. Watching a couple of walkthroughs.

Found a 15 hours long Metro Exodus gameplay video.

    Fuck me.

  11. Skara vs cheaters: early fall edition.

Decided to take out my striker for a nice chilled game day, haven't really played with it and also tested a few things like camo, sniper rig and a couple other things.

Anyway, last 2 games of the day, I'm on attack and locate the last defender, so I ditch the bolty and go full ham with my mk23. I manage to get to 4/5 metres from him, undetected. Pull out of cover, carefully aim and proceed to dump one bb right between his eyes (all I could see was the face) with a quick follow up shot to the lower face mask. Saw both impacts clearly.

Guy flinches, raises his gun and fires in my direction, meanwhile I had already disappeared behind my cover.

I jump out again and put 2 in his arm before being hit.

It's alright, he got smoked 3 seconds after by a teammate who got behind him, so everything was fine.

Last game, on defense, I set up a quick hide from where I can see almost all of the objective area. Then a 40ish yo lady shows up, in the open, slowly walking towards the flag, checking left and right for us. I derp the first shot on the only tiny freaking branch between me and her, but she doesn't notice as my striker appears to be almost whisper quiet. I quickly load a second round and for some reason I accidentally turned on the hop, so instead of flying towards her chest, it goes straight to her mouth (she was wearing one of those cheap OD mesh goggles + plastic mask combos).

She flinches, takes a knee. The third bb strikes her in the boob, flinches again and runs to cover as if nothing happened.

Both these people are part of a club we invited.

I am still confused. I thought the point of the game was to be honest.

I've found the closer to the end of the day the less people give a fuck about rules because less consequences I suppose and probably more frustrated from previous shots they think they were hitting people with.

That is a fair point.  You can start the day with the best of intentions, then end it scowling and snarling at a catalogue of real or perceived foul play.

Although fundamentally, if you're not there to take hits, why are you there?

Doesn't matter too much though, I am not one who holds grudges against others.

Will give those 2 guys a second chance next time we invite them :)

worst case I'll be holding down the trigger for a little longer than needed. I heard bb showers encourage hit calling :P

      >" Completely unnecessary shots imo"

Necessary in order to play the game that we're all there to play at that site.

The Depot is a very-CQB site, and the engagement ranges are coming down all the time as they add more and more cover.  Jet was playing the site the way it has to be played.

It's also characteristic to hear a lot of adrenaline fuelled expletives and unnecessary-but-polite apologies, but it's all forgotten about within seconds.  Everybody who plays there knows and accepts this, or they stop playing. They're always over-booked, so it's clearly not a problem.

What was out of order in that video was the high BFG near the start.  He'd been told very clearly not to do that, while standing right next to the marshal giving the briefing.

      Lasbrisas17

Such snowflakery, next we'll argue using bfg's indoors because it might hurt someone's ears because they chose not to wear hearing protection. How about shooting someone's eyes because they aren't wearing full seal? Go play laser tag or nerf.

  15. Apparently there are 2 versions of the AA chamber, one that only fits the AS01 (long barrel) which is the older one, and the newer one that fits the AS02 and the shorter AS01 barrels. No idea how to tell them apart though.
  16. Alright.

Time to spend some more beer tokens on airsoft.

    Problem is, what do I want/need? 🤔

  17. Iirc the short aftermarket barrels require some filing to accept the AA hop chamber.
  18. Striker as02, stock 6.03x300 barrel, bioval .3s. I am getting a crazy jet next week.
  19. quick dumb question: why is my bolt action louder when there is a bb in the chamber? It's really quiet and muffled when dry firing, but when a bb is chambered it suddenly becomes loud AF (to me, maybe it's still quiet towards the target, haven't tested yet).
  20. Would door stops make a good dampening pad for a cylinder?

If you’re dead set on trying hard rubber like door stop - go to screwfix and get 1/2” flat tap washers  .

  21. Hot glueing netting.

      Yes, your assumption is correct.

I could have used shoe glue, but I didn't have any around.

I found hot glue to be quite fast too compared to my old method of attaching netting (tons and tons of zip ties).

For my next project I'll make sure to have some shoe glue around, so I can experiment with that as well :)

I love the stuff, I also use it as a crude waterproofing material for certain projects along seems that need extra strength! Dude you need amazon prime ;)

    4. Skara

      Skara

Heh. I had a prime subscription, then cancelled it because of two reasons:

Don't like how Amazon treats workers (especially here in Italy, there have been reports of almost slavery conditions) and I don't use it enough to justify the fee, even if it's small, I order maybe once or twice a year from there. 2019 has been an exception as some of the products I got from Amazon I couldn't find elsewhere..

  22. I wonder if GBB makers have ever thought of an expansion chamber somewhere to reduce cool down, especially on pistols..

tbh i'm not sure it'd help all that much, at some point you're going to be relying on the liquid boiling to replenish itself, although granted i have shot one of those maruzen m11's and it was pretty impressive (at least compared to asg's more conventionally designed m11)

for winter co2 is the better option, although granted co2 mags come with their own set of problems.

i tend to just avoid spamming when running a pistol, that's what rifles are for, never really use more than a couple of shots per engagement, for range work you're better taking time to get a good aim anyway.

    3. Immortal

      Immortal

I don't think mags get a decent seal on the gun in order to have such a chamber (thinking of how Co2 Caplets work with airgun valves - it would have to be built into the mag I suppose so a space issue... just my 50p's worth of grey matter)

  23. Yes, but be aware that the stock bushings are terrible, you may want to replace them asap just in case.. Mine were completely gone in less than 5000 bbs fired.. By the way, I just picked up a barrel extension, a rmr riser, a couple of sling mounts and a sling plate. Next week it'll be time for a new outer barrel and a bit of a lathe work on a suppressor..
  24. You're gonna have fun with it at least I have a lot of fun with mine
