  1. We can have fun with the answers (and with arguing over them), but this isn't a serious question. Setting up an airsoft site is a huge undertaking. Even people who've done it successfully before sometimes just give up while starting new sites. As noted, you'll need a large area of unambiguously private land, explicit permission from the landowner, and if you have any sense at all, liability insurance to cover you when someone shoots Little Johnny's eye out (example from real life) and you get blamed for it. That insurance will come with a set of assumptions and conditions about how you run the site. If you're even remotely serious about this, you'll want to play at several sites first, and take careful note of how they do things: boundaries, safe zones and safety checks, chrono, briefings, and marshalling. Rental guns are way, way down the list of priorities. If you're not prepared to interject yourself into a petty altercation between multiple grumpy men hopped up on Red Bull and adrenaline, then it's best to just enjoy playing airsoft at someone else's site.
  2. Not to be a primer-pooper, but eBay already provides a rotary holder that looks, I have to say, better designed. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/115887213067
  3. Reminder: OP is after short mags.
  4. This... uh... this isn't a ringing endorsement.
  5. Those 60s look like a decent size, but if you're after price and practicality, then an M4 / STANAG magwell will give you far more choice. I run short M4 mags in my G36 without any feeding issues (after a little bit of filing and sanding of the magwell)
  6. I'm baffled by how the economics would make sense, if they're paying rent and rates. The Depot 1.0 was set up as sports chaaaridy, which is the only way I can see it coming close to working.
  7. I refer you to the Darren Day case above. It is what an "expert" asserts that it is.
  8. I told you that we ought to take it in turns to act as a sort of executive officer for the week.
  9. If someone is setting out to commit the criminal act of robbing me or my family with threats of armed violence, I'd prefer that they did it with a rubber knife. And if the law treats rubber and steel identically, what incentive do they have to obtain and carry the rubber one?
  10. You'd think, but during the "samurai sword" ban, re-enactment societies tried to get the definition amended to require some element of sharpness. Committee said "Narp." Later on (much as with airsoft RIFs) a specific "purposes of" defence was added. But arguably, and pending case law, it remains equally as criminal to own a blunt replica of most prohibited weapon as a sharp one. Sounds daft? Maybe, but actor Darren Day was convicted for possessing a kubotan, defined as "the weapon sometimes known as a “hollow kubotan”, being a cylindrical container containing a number of sharp spikes;". I've been unable turn up a picture of exactly what he had, but my impression from following his defence is that the object he was carrying didn't meet that description, and was simply a solid cylinder of blunt metal. Didn't matter, because prosecution experts opined that "what Parliament meant to say was...". Following the "samurai sword" ban through Parliament was remarkably informative as to how the process works. Or rather, doesn't work. So many sensible, reasonable submissions were made, and questions asked, that were simply ignored by politicians determined to tub-thump and be seen to be doing something. It was an appallingly petulant performance, by children pretending to be adults.
  11. I'll go with "possibly" as well. When "samurai swords" were banned as a knee-jerk reaction to one incident that effected the political classes, the definition of "A curved blade of 50 centimetres or over" caught up pretty much every historical and replica cavalry sabre, falchion and tulwar. Arguable it covers many machetes as well, so this is a re-re-re-banning of those. When you look at the list of prohibited weapons that it's now a crime to own even in private, it's so broad that it essentially comes down to interpretation. Baton: A straight, side-handled or friction-lock truncheon. Blowpipe or blow gun: A hollow tube out of which hard pellets or darts are shot by the use of breath. So: a solid stick, or a hollow stick. The one that might already catch us is: Stealth knife: A knife or spike made of a material that cannot be picked up by metal detectors and which is not made for use at home, for food or as a toy. So be sure to buy a "toy" plastic knife, rather than a "training knife."
  12. "We Allow Influencers on here, some you wont like some you might. Everyone has an opinion, however if you don't like them scroll on by. Go have your little vendetta's on another group!" They prefer people who do harmful actions over people who object to people that do harmful actions? Bless.
  13. You haven't listed what the base gun is. This will help to set a floor price, to which people will add what they think the parts are worth to them. There's no correct price point for airsoft guns, especially modified ones. It's all about finding a buyer who wants exactly what you're selling. The more detail you provide, the more likely you'll find that buyer. This is also not the best time to be selling. The market will be picking back up after Christmas, even a couple of weeks to get us into March might help.
  14. It's a curious one. I get how non-airsofter LadBible types enjoy his well-produced fiction, in the same way that I dimly grasp the appeal of Jackass. Actual airsofters on an actual site? Baffling. I'd have to assume that Phoenix arranges things so that Useful Regulars are always on the same side as him, rather than getting spawn camped by him.
  15. If you're asking how much it might be worth, https://airsoft-forums.uk/forum/151-appraisals/ If you're actually looking to sell it: https://airsoft-forums.uk/classifieds/category/1-electric/ As above, how much you get offered is largely down to how much work you want to put in to describe exactly what's in there. You could spend £1000 on a gun and end up with something that performs worse than a stock CYMA.
  16. Is it too late to upgrade it to a CYMA or Double Eagle? https://www.youtube.com/@NegativeAirsoftTech/search?query=vfc
  17. Sorry to hear this, it can be quite the surprise - and a good excuse reason have a backup to hand. Springs tend to be stiffer when colder, so just putting some rounds through it on the morning can help. While it's cheating-the-chrono in spirit, you might find that you'll see lower energy from 0.2g. MP5 hops are indeed prone to winding off, and always worth re-adjusting.
  18. Upgrades, eh? Same as with anything else in airsoft, it's best to change one part at a time and then test objectively. Same as with anything else in airsoft, ain't nobody got time fo' that. What I would suggest is ensuring that the o-ring is loose, and I mean looser than you'd think is necessary. You can stretch it over the cylinder to slacken it up, or replace with something that might be a bit more generous than stock. I use BS910 19.18mm x 2.46mm rings. Nitrile, but I'm sure someone will demand Viton® is the One True Material. Keep at it, I've seen a shocking 1.3J on 0.28g from an M100 spring, 228mm 6.01mm barrel, rotary hop, Maple leaf bucking, and stock CYMA gearbox components just with extra holes drilled in the head, a replaced o-ring, and a little silicone grease.
  19. True, which is why I make custom Kydex holders. Half an A4 sheet of 2mm-ish per bang. Cut to this approximate shape - draw around the base to make the circle, size the top section to the height of the 'nade. Heat and form around the banger, let it cool, remove the banger, then briefly reheat and bend in slightly more to achieve retention. Attach any way you like, using holes as pictured, or you could cut a Molle-width tongue, whatever takes your fancy.
  20. FTFY. L is for Lid. L is for LARP. Cheap tat is best tat.
  21. LARP is the only real reason. Well, maybe CQB if you get whanged in the skull a lot. Well, occasionally I'm in the mood to hide behind hard cover, pop mine on a stick, and waggle it around to get shot. The cries of "Marshal! Take your hits! Maaarshaaaaall!" are worth it.
  22. Whitelisting UK IPs remains my suggestion, since the chances of an Elbonian spam-goblin using a UK proxy seems slim.
  23. My local sites say that if you can't see where it's going to land, don't throw or post it. Knee height is face height if someone is lying down or even just bending over to, say, pick up pyro.
