  1. Has nobody sat you down and had The Talk with you about Airsoft Physics, and how it's way betterer than boring old 'real' physics? Never not funny. It does at least clue you in that you'd be wasting your time making a realistic offer.
  2. If you had a defence at the time when you did it (i.e. airsoft skirmishing) then you're good. If not, you can't undo the heinous crime, although you can hide the evidence. That's perverting the course of justice though, a far more serious offence. If that sound like a silly argument, well, it's a damn silly bit of legislation, and not something that you should lose any sleep over. It's legal now. There's no offence of owning a RIF. Possession in public is an offence whether it's a RIF or an IF, with the same reasonable excuse - being on the way to or from an airsoft skirmish.
  3. Scuffed 5.1 Hi-Capa with no mags. If it could shoot, it would shoot at 320fps though. A steal at just £200. Hurry, hurry, he's only been trying to flog it since March, it could go at any second. (Or, buy one brand new for £128)
  4. Then you've already committed the offence. Nobody will ever know or care, if you use the RIF sensibly. If you don't use it sensibly, then you'll have bigger problems than the technical offence of modifying it into a RIF.
  5. I'd say two-thirds of the cheapest current retail price, including from TaiwanGun / GunFire. I mention this because I can only assume that some of these comedy ads are from people who didn't bother to shop around, and who don't think anybody else will either. It's funny, but also a little sad that folk are apparently paying way over the odds for cheap guns. Rip Off Britain writ large.
  6. It's not so much the price, it's the adamancy that " it will be COLLECTION ONLY , and i will sell this as BULK JOB LOT ONLY ". What's the chances that there's someone out there who wants exactly what's in that pile of stuff, every bit of it, and is prepared to pay 70% of retail for it, and is local...
  7. Oh, he of the £200 L96, and a mystery-meat M4 that didn't sell with 2 mags for £100, then got relisted with no mags, a hosed battery, and "not been tested for 3 years" for £120. I'm almost tempted to put in some realistic offers, but I fear that we may have radically different views on what constitutes reality.
  8. But... it's in the original box. With the silicone packet and everything. I'm torn between wanting to know the thinking behind those prices, and really not wanting to know.
  9. If I had a crate of original recipe Irn Bru, I wouldn't trade it for that lot. At the risk of winding up someone who might play at the Depot, I also notice: £80 for a 8 year old gun with a humped battery. Versus £46 new from TaiwanGun. £39 from GunFire. The absolute most I can find to pay for one is £89 for a two toned one... but with a warranty and fresh battery. That's the reduced price, it was originally up for £100. I'm confused. Confused and scared. Someone hold me.
  10. Don't prevaricate about the bush. I'm local, I could snap up the lot at any moment. I genuinely had a headscratching moment over "M4 wep restraint". Oh... a sling.
  11. £800 for a "FAST XP" helmet? I'd want it to boost me straight to a Level 20 Pewgod.
  12. Can you find one new? I think if you want one, it's going to be that one, at that price.
  13. That. I don't care if it came with an adaptor for connecting to a 1950s vacuum tube, it's a bizarre choice to change to mini-Tamiya.
  14. "connection change to [sic] a mini tamara [sic] connector" Wut?
  15. Told you they'd come through. Always said it. I clearly remember saying so.
  16. Still keeping the faith. They're clearly getting behind with orders, but the more time they have to spend dealing with "Where's my order?" queries and cancellations, the less chance that they'll ever catch up. Still, as long as folk keep ordering from them and not initiating chargebacks the instant that they're past the promised dispatch date, they've really got no incentive to change.
  17. I tend to get that way when someone has my money, and I have nothing but broken promises and an absence of communication. PayPal me £150 and I'll show you how that works. No charge[*]. [*] £150 administration fee applies.
  18. ... the cheque's in the post, and I'll only put the tip in. They're clearly lagging several days behind with handling orders; I just wish they'd be honest about that up front. Still, cancelling my order saved me £150 or so on a DMR that I'll struggle to find a use for now, so kudos to them for that.
  19. Maybe they'll dispatch on the 2nd full working day after the day on which you ordered. It could happen. It could happen.
  20. Normally they dispatch on the 2nd working day after your order. When I put my last order in on a Sunday, they were clear that they expected to dispatch on Tuesday (then it all want to pot). I'd have thought that if you ordered on Friday then they'd have advertised it for Monday dispatch at the earliest, so maybe don't light the flaming torch quite yet. Hark at me being the optimist when it comes to other people's money.
  21. Hah, I also got an email asking me to contact them about a negative (factual) review that I'd left at their chosen review site. They don't need to fix their communication, they just need to get their stocking sorted out and send out orders in a timely fashion. Then they wouldn't need to communicate. I'll light a candle for you.
  22. They don't process orders over the weekend, so close of play today is when I'd expect to them dispatch. Even if it goes out tomorrow you should still get it by next weekend. Despite my bad experience, I wouldn't actually expect them to stuff up your order. <SuBo-fingers-crossed.png>
  23. Dropped into Lidl, came out with a £13 roller holdall. 68L, 73cm x 30cm x 31cm, fits a short M4 or folded stock-open G36C and loads of gear, with several side pockets. No more humping a gun bag and a holdall full of accoutrements like an animal for this borg. https://www.lidl.co.uk/en/Non-Food-Offers.htm?articleId=14517
  24. Heh, I spotted that while you were replying. I'd be tempted to give them a chance for that difference in price. The reason I was particularly hacked off is that I was specifically after one for the next weekend, but by the time it was sorted, I'd already lost two weekend's worth of play. If you're not in a hurry, it'd be a rational gamble. You're not going to lose your money even if they do mess it up. Buy it, buy it, buy it.
