Well that's not true. AEP has ongoing costs in needing to charge batteries and the fact that rechargable batteries have finite charging cycles so they will need to be replaced in time.

Consumables are part of play, some are just more overt than others.

I don't even think AEP is worth it as a stop-gap "solution" because they're barely better than when I used one 20+ years ago. If anything, I'd say the gap between AEP and GBBP is greater now than it was back then.

The other ongoing cost you perhaps haven't considered is depreciation. AEP is undesirable on the brand new market, even more so in the used market as the battery may be in poor charging health and getting spares may be a pain.

If I can be so bold to speak for the other respondents, we're saying this because all of these criticisms of AEP are like cases where we've seen no shortage of people who despite advice given to them, they went ahead anyway and bought something they went on to really dislike and became more frustrated trying to resell it.

They're not used much anyway unless you're carrying a DMR/sniper and have a minimum engagement distance. If you haven't needed one so far, you probably won't unless you change to DMR/sniper.

Honestly you're better off saving the money. I take a pistol to every game and practically never use it.

Clearly the Raven (Nuprol) being so cheap will be lower quality than more expensive options but its an introduction to blowback pistols within your budget.  If it doesn't work properly you can return it.
Keep in mind it probably won't last as long as more expensive options but it may be OK.
I have a few by Vorsk which are also budget options by Nuprol and they perform adequately with no problems so far.

As said before, the options you have listed (or any in that price range) will be a good start and will perform about the same.  Just get the one you like the look of most.

aeps are mostly garbage, very underpowered, poor range. If price is your main concern you could consider an E&C glock which usually runs about 80-90 quid.

It's entirely up to the site(s), you'll have to look into that. Some fire control systems actually let you program in a DMR delay to limit the rate of fire.

There's a significant degree of trust involved in DMRs given the minimum engagement distance, and the potential for abusing them by spamming.  One of my locals just disallows them completely (everything has to either be <1.2J or bolt action), and frankly I agree with them given how hard it is to marshal DMRs.

No, single shot only. No binary triggers, no burst. One BB fired per trigger pull and release only.

As Tackle said, sites may insist on either a 2-second delay between shots or for there to be only one BB in the air when you're firing.

It goes against the idea of a marksman if you need to spray a target to hit them.

Not only does shooting above the site limit invalidate the site's insurance and make them liable if they were to allow you to play, you could be charged for committing assault if you use an illegal airsoft weapon and injure a player.

I really don't want to come across harshly (I genuinely don't). The used market for two-tone is quite unpredictable because of the smaller buyer base. It's just gone Easter so it's more of a buyer's market than a seller's market until the middle of next month going through summer when things might be more favourable for sellers.

There are more airsoft boot sales being hosted these days. Depending on where in the UK you are and the cost of your travel and pitch to sell from, that might be an option for you.

Generally its better to sell everything separately but of course its more work to take pics.
You'll probably have more luck selling here as its more busy.
Make sure to put things in the correct category and don't forget to include a paper with your forum name and date.

EDIT: I see you listed it already but you did not include the paper with name and date.  Best to add a pic with that so it doesn't get deleted.
    Good luck 👍

The mAh is not a measure of the power when you pull the trigger.  Its the total power it can hold so how long it should last.
I think those batteries are faulty especially if you say other batteries work.

I hate to play againts these paintball based players with their modifyed hpa pistols. Where I live sites are too small and full of these players.
and I am there with my MWS setup 8 mags 10kg gear in total try to out run these players. Seems like they got unlimited ammo meanwhile I count every shot...
Please can someone suggest me a good Mil-sim site around South buckinghamshire/Oxfordshire

Not sure if these need 7.4v or 11.1v (I'd always go for 7.4v to be safe but someone will confirm)

    I'd suggest something like:
    https://www.vapextech.co.uk/airsoft-7-4v-2600mah-25c-lipo-cranstock-battery-with-case-lp305-vapextech

The Milliampere Hours (mah) determines how much total power a battery holds (ie how long it will last)
The C rating determines how much power it can deliver per trigger pull (20c is the lowest and 30c is usually the highest you can get)

Remember you will need a GOOD intelligent charger to take care of these batteries and prevent fire.
This is the cheapest I can find with a quick search.

Sure, if you know what you're after, they're fine. Especially when you factor in free postage, and that if you leave it in your basket for 24 hours, you're likely to receive a discount offer.

Nearly a years hard graft has gone into building our own private killhouse between 5 of us with some help from others, rain, snow and the cold we put this up by ourselves
Looking forward to running the beta test day next Sunday the 27th

EDcase reacted to Rogerborg in I am just looking to get a decent airsoft rifle.
Ahoy and welcome.  It's got all the good stuff, and decent polymer bodies are fine.

Alternatives would be the Double Eagle M9XX series, or any of the Specna Arms with a fire control system. The FLEX range offer phenomenal value for money, although the motor in the Delta Armory (sic) may be better. There's no standard for what "high torque" means, which is why I buy aftermarket.

You're really spoiled for choice in M4s at the moment, and pretty much anything offered by Patrol Base - not you, NUPROL - will work.  Avoid the very cheapest CYMA M5xx guns (because of the toytown plastic), pick whatever you like the look of, and pull the trigger.

Hey all please keep any eye out for my kit, it was stolen from my car in Twickenham(buried in the boot) the list is
One rifle hard case covered in stickers and three velcro patches (Shield patch, rifle patch, O+ patch)
One heavily customised Tokyo Marui MTR16 G edition
    One M1014/Super M4 shotgun
One Tokyo Marui MK23 pistol (i customised painted it hard to miss)
    2 MK23 mags
    2 MWS mags
I have posted this on the main airsoft reddit with pictures, but please keep any eye out, airsoft is the only sport I take part in and weirdly helps with my depression
