Hypothetical question: If a bolt action sniper is shooting at 350 or less with 0.2's, with less than it's usual joules, would shooting someone class range be a issue

Having tried to run a bolty within aeg engagement range its not that fun, suppose a decent acheivement if you can do it in terms of either stealth or quick reactions but you'll find yourself all too often dropping to the deck and switching to your pistol rather than trying to run the action.
Problem is if you miss with the first shot he has half a dozen shots (without full auto) to try and hit you before you can even hope to have had the bolt cycled and gun ready again, the mathematics of that sort of engagement are pretty self explanatory.
Not saying you can't or shouldnt do it, just pointing out it'll probably suck.

That's what we have to deal with here.
Everything is capped at 1j, effectively making sniping stupid hard. As soon as you're spotted you're deaded..
The only viable way to play with a bolt action (with such low power) is to make it as silent as possible, mk23 levels of silent..
That way your opponents will have a really hard time figuring out where you are. That should give you a quite substantial edge on them, but still, keep a secondary on you as you'll be using it more than the primary..
You could also not give a feck and run your sniper with a dot and use it in cqb. It's both fun and challenging
