This is a Star (version 1) Troy Industries SOPMOD M14. Weighs a ton, completely impracticable but looks great IMHO. Had it for 12 odd years, but not skirmished with it for maybe a decade tbh.

The Mk23 would probably run in Antarctica on Duster gas tbf. I've used my MWS on Green in about 2 degrees C, but only on semi and not spamming the trigger. I think Nuprol 4.0 is the gas to use while it is this parky. Not used it myself but there are so many factors coming into play with GBBR use in winter, including, but not limited to: gas type used, gas amount in mag, weather, temperature of magazines, lubrication of gun, gaps between shots...

Crye Mag Clip. Means you can secure to a belt, MOLLE, pocket etc.

How is that sight working out?!

Some Crye Precision Gen2 kneepads for a whole £25... ...have seen them go for several times that.

Is it bad that I *love* my MWS?! I was getting so bored of sewing machine sounding AEGs which pretty much performed like every other one before it or after. TM's MWS made it fun again. It made every 'kill' a challenge, every shot a smidgen of adrenaline and put in a degree of unpredictability. And, because it was from those great bunch of lads in Japan, it was all put together beautifully. Without that MWS purchase, I genuinely could have seen me falling out of love with this hobby and I am glad I took the leap.

Sold a Crye Ranger Green Combat Shirt and bought what I think is a Crye Sand Field Shirt, which was described as 'Khaki', but looks like Sand to me. We shall see.
