Another great thread, linking a few buddies to this one to build my case for booking us into an event. One of the problems is everyone in the group rocking the same camo. There's about 10 or so of us and are all only just building our arsenal and kit up. Got to prioritise because you can't buy it all instantly!

Nice thread, which KIngs Langley site is that? -
I would say that if you had to post the thread you probably already know it's a bad idea.

You might as well just grab the ones I linked to be honest. Higher capacity and discharge for an extra couple of quid. Plus you KNOW they fit.

This is what I use: http://www.componentshop.co.uk/7-4v-1300mah-25c-continuous-discharge-cranestock-lipo-battery.html They work a treat and fit nicely, though you do have to lose that little insert bit.

Hello people, I'm looking to pick the brains of the ever knowledgable AFUK users. After skirmishing my new RIF last weekend I'm looking to pick up a couple of accessories for it. Or potentially a torch/grip combo. I'm open to all suggestions, and would love links to what YOU use. The one which is grabbing me at the moment is http://www.tacticalgeartrade.co.uk/element-m910a-cree-led-foregrip-weaponlight-flashlight-black.html, any thoughts on this in particular are welcome. Or a cheaper price with a different retailer or even a similar (cheaper) alternative. Willing to listen to suggestions on having separate ones too. I'm currently running a stock CM16 Raider-L by the way, Thanks in advance, LAFTA

Whereabouts in Bucks roughly? There's a few sites around Kings Langley/High Wycombe.

Can you be a bit more specific with the links? I struggled to find it.

Potentially buying a CM16 Raider-L. Battery help?
lafta replied to lafta's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
So, took the CM16 out for it's first outing to the Mall on Sunday. Batteries seemed great, switched over at lunchtime just to be sure I didn't drain one completely. Chrono came out at 335, 335, 336. So that was a weight lifted. Thanks for all of the advice from everyone. Seems like I am getting this 'going left out of the barrel' issue though. It's slight but definitely noticeable at range. Going to look into it a little more, I'm sure I read something about refitting the hop because they sometimes aren't fitted correctly... Overall great day at the Mall, let down a little by more cheats than usual, including one incident at the start of a game were we rushed from the zombie barricade and peppered upwards of a dozen players rushing up the lift stairs and not a single one took the hit. Yes, seriously. So once again, thanks a lot for all the help everyone. Hopefully it will see me through a good amount of game days. -
Pics please!

Remember to include a cost for batteries and a charger. You're looking at around £40 for that. Your optic is going to cost you a bit if you're including that in your budget. I would suggest a raider to fit your budget but the front sight is attached to the outer barrel...

Seems like a lot of you play the weeknight games. Might have to give it a shot sometime.

If it was 335 with fire support, is it likely to change by Sunday? -

lafta replied to lafta's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Everything came. Batteries fit with ease. I put a few hundred rounds through it and all seems OK. Though on the side of the box it apparently chronod at 335, fingers crossed it's not going to be hot for the Mall on Sunday! -
Yes, people do take two tones to Skirmish. You'll only get laughed at by the 1337 guys, but who cares about them anyway. Watch out for some sites which ban two tone though. Sandpit springs to mind as being mentioned previously. Have fun!

3 visits, first and last must be two months apart minimum and a year apart maximum. Badly worded in the document itself but that's the most succinct I can muster.

We're looking at possibly the 19th.

Potentially buying a CM16 Raider-L. Battery help?
lafta replied to lafta's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Ok so it's the one you are actively using it. Can't beat that sort of recommendation I guess! Went with your charger and two 1300mAh cranestock LiPos, similar price to picking up three 800s so why not. Fingers crossed it all works out! Thanks again, I'll report back once everything shows up. -

Sorry, more questions. Safety issues regarding charging LiPos. The previous charger I was looking at with the NiMh batteries was "smart". So it would cut off when the battery reached capacity. How does the above charger work exactly? Having a quick read it seems that if you want to charge LiPos safely you need a high end charger? Help! Again! Edit: And those batteries you linked are only 800mAh. I was concerned a 2000+ wouldn't last me a day which is why I wanted two smaller ones. But these are less than half the capacity so they aren't going to last either? 2nd Edit: Leaning towards these? http://www.componentshop.co.uk/7-4v-1300mah-25c-continuous-discharge-cranestock-lipo-battery.html And the battery you suggested http://www.componentshop.co.uk/quickshop/index/view/path/800ma-charger-for-2s-or-3s-7-4-11-1v-battery-packs-complete-with-mains-power-supply.html has aboslutely no spec or anything on the site, in fact it says ??????????? in that spot. Why do you suggest that one rather than the previously mentioned one? http://www.componentshop.co.uk/700ma-charger-for-1s-to-3s-3-7-7-4-11-1v-li-po-and-life-battery-packs.html for the same price? Again, thanks for all the advice. Sorry for all the questions, just want to try and get it right first time -

Potentially buying a CM16 Raider-L. Battery help?
lafta replied to lafta's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Raider ordered. Just to sort these batteries out now. I seem to have a shortlist of two cranestock LiPos. http://www.componentshop.co.uk/7-4v-1300mah-25c-continuous-discharge-cranestock-lipo-battery.html Or http://www.componentshop.co.uk/7-4v-1450mah-20c-continuous-discharge-cranestock-lipo-battery.html I assume they will fit into the stock? What do the different outputs mean? Burst and continous, I'd guess higher is better? Lol Additionally, I'm assuming again that they are Tamiya connectors in the Raider, or mini Tamiya? Help? -

Sorry for double post, can't edit on my phone. Is this the one? http://www.componentshop.co.uk/700ma-charger-for-1s-to-3s-3-7-7-4-11-1v-li-po-and-life-battery-packs.html Bundle deal with two 11.1s but I guess that is too much power without mosfet? Thanks for replies and help guys. -

Nice one! I'll probably still grab two batteries to switch at lunch just incase. -

It's budgetary reasons that I am opting for the NiMH. Or is there a cheap yet reliable charger for LiPos?
