  1. So I do have something to share myself too! I believe it is a nice photo of me and my friend in ghillie.
  2. One says that another person something else... Not going to this debate as it is not something I asked for.
  3. I wanted a EBB version of that gun for a while but could not justify buying it to missus till the old one was still fully functional. I'll replace the rubber on old one to have both functional. No space at all - it almost looked like ill be able to fit crane stock battery there, but they are just bit too long. That was a option but not one that I was happy with - if you know someone running RPK that way I want to see pictures as I believe that must look awful on RPKS74 😁
  4. Mine non-blowback version does have lots of space under the dust cover. The blowback version does not have space under the dust cover as there is this massive bolt. Handguard is also no option as this bolt looks almost identical to a real one - you do have bolt going through the whole gas block like on a real gun. Sadly I did not took pictures but you can trust me when I'm saying there is no space. I left it with tech already to rear wire it for me as I don't want to mess with it - it requires drilling for cables to be hidden. He was also scratching his head wondering what they expected by designing it without any battery compartment. The only picture is by my SO when I opened it in car for few moments where the cable can be seen sticking out.
  5. I have LCT RPK74MN without a blowback unit and I must say it is so far my most favourite gun I have ever owned. Two weeks ago bucking finally said it had enough and torn. I thought to myself - yay I have now excuse for missus why I need to purchase a new gun! So I went and purchased Blowback version of LCT RPK74. Excited me did not payed attention to battery cable sticking from the side. Later when I opened the box at home and after handling the gun for a while I have decided to look what kind of batteries I can fit in to it and I must say I did not expect that there is no battery space whatsoever in this gun. I wondering if there is anyone with this gun and what was your solution to this problem. I'm currently set on rear wiring it to the stock as I never folding it (because I'm running this gun with drum mag). The only thing is that I'll be required to remove two screws every time I need to change the battery. Thanks and also Happy New Year!
  6. I can now add to this topic with my experience with TM gun - I have also posted here regards to upgrades of that gun. I have TM AK-102 EBB that I was not perfectly happy with - especially the range on it (quite possibly because as I later found out the bucking was torn). After discussing the upgrades with people here and friends outside of this forum I have decided to replace only the barrel with tight bore and fitted prometheus purple bucking and nub. It's almost like completely different gun now - the range is just fantastic on it and as I also using it with .25s the speed of the bb is decent.
  7. Thank you guys, it looks like the general advice is to replace only barrel and hop and leave the gearbox as it is and do not touch it! I will think about it bit more to see if I'll even upgrade anything on it and if yes it would be only the barrel and hop. Will look for a different AK as my project gun!
  8. I'm currently set on upgrading it. I would say I have put around 1500/2000bbs through it. Other people running TM AKs I spoke to had all their guns upgraded. They said that at least hop rubber needs replacing to have better range, but I would also like to have BBs flying bit faster.
  9. Hello all and thank you for having me here. My girlfriend decided to surprise me with early Christmas present - Tokyo Marui AK102 Electric blowback. I had a chance to play few games with it and while the performance out of the box is decent I got used to my RPK shooting accurately to 60 meters where this rifle does like 40/45 meters. I'm fairly new in Airsoft so I haven't done any upgrades therefor I'm here to ask for advice. I've spoke to tech telling him I would like to squeeze 60 metres from the gun and he said he can do even bit better and told me that pretty much everything needs to be changed - Main gear in gearbox, spring, hop up unit and hop up rubber, barrel, piston, motor. When I spoke to friends they have all agreed that I should not need to replace all of these parts. At this moment I'm thinking I'll try to do this upgrade myself - I have successfully disassembled the whole rifle and re-assembled it back so I'm confident in this part. Where I'm not confident is choosing the correct parts for this gun and deciding what needs to be upgraded. If I may ask kindly should all of these parts be replaced/upgraded or only the fraction of those parts? If so could you recommend any upgrades/brands for this gun? I'm looking for a faster BBs with better range (60metres) while not decreasing life of the other internals dramatically. Also I'm not looking for a monster of a gun. The tech quoted me around £350 for whole upgrade and I'm wondering if we can cut this at least to half of the quoted cost. Would be thankful for any advice Many Thanks!
