LordGeorge got a reaction from Monty in Where have Nuprol BB's gone ???
Noo he didn't !!
Oh my, the one game day I took my WE 416 before it was a Daytona. Was probably the best games I ever had for enjoyment.
Yes low cap mags and cool down us a pain when you have come from a AEG but hell its fun :-)
It was pretty reliable too.
Looked through my stocks and I seem to have about 14,000 nuprol bbs varied in weight 😁 Haha
Got some blaster devil .40's to test out
I'm sure they sting.

LordGeorge reacted to Hudson in Where have Nuprol BB's gone ???
Just got the latest batch of Nuprols in.

LordGeorge got a reaction from PeteS in Where have Nuprol BB's gone ???
I am too, would have helped if my mate got the .40s but he got .43s 😬 As there was none in stock.
Now that's gna be interesting haha
Will test it mainly in the p* because of consistency.
Crank it up to 120psi and see how far that goes on the range hehe
I would be bullseye womp rats in my t-16 too.

LordGeorge got a reaction from proffrink in Where have Nuprol BB's gone ???
.40s i have some .28s at the moment as well. Will test .30s soon.
The .40s are purely testing.

Not to worry mate.
I do agree with what you are saying and it's just one of those things.
I started on nuprol and always stuck to them because I didn't have any beef and yes I could agree I may very well would have had a issue at some point, but when you know no different I would have been non the wiser.
Well with all the hassle they seemed to have kicked up and stocks gone, ASG will be my next venture I think
The .40 devils work well did you say ?

Some new toys came today
Absolutely beautifull finish, as you can tell !!
Little longer than the origional but hey, looks its pretty.
Side note, installed speed trigger in polarstar, MK17. Very nice and only a little bump and grind to get it working

Also, the 500mm seems alright. Like I said, high air consumption as I have to run at around 130psi, but as it's damn near impossible to get a straight answer out of the FB group I'm not sure if that's bad or not. I may cut a coil or two to reduce recoil and up the fps (so I can drop the pressure to bring it back to 1.17J), but I dunno.
Yep well i had to do this to my mk17, got a aluminium madbull barrel tighbore 6.03. I r-hop'd that and also added a small bit of teflon mainly due to the WE freak of a hopup unit lol
I was considering tefloning the DG up as something tells me that will help, i will do r-hop but only on new barrel.
Well i did the same thing, tight and small amounts of locktight until break in is done then stick that shite together like crazy. Im already having to locktight external attachments and rail screws as it a shaker
I did indeed check for any leaks and there was none to report, everything seems to function well, my gut feeling is hop/barrel.
Hmm will see what to do with that, the mk17 is built as a DMR so R-hop with widebore sounds pretty sexy, im sure some retailer is going to have a little laugh when i order in almost 200 big ones for barrels alone haha.
Doing DG trigger job tomorrow, sick of sloppy trigger. Also got plans for Mk17 but most likely just fill in the case to force the trigger to rest on the switch as the trigger is too small to drill and tap.
Not yet due, only had it today so early days. Either way i will most likely get a orga for that as well
Pretty much doing all the stupid things like max fps, and rof . Funny as hell listening to a fart sounding blare from it going at 60+ a second.
Got ages untill my next skirmish due to work and Christmas, so lots of time to mess about and tweak.

Little update, been busy and not too much to on the TNK, i did however get my Stark pistol grip.
It’s outstanding, very strong and extremely comfortable.
The two main modifications to make it all fit was, the drill as per for the airline and widening the spring guide slot to take the original spring. Also worth noting the spring guide needed boring out around the opening to allow any misalignment on the spring and pin to not cause any selector issues.
Final fitting

LordGeorge got a reaction from Mr Monkey Nuts in The Daytona Build
Hey all, good day as the kit has finally come.
BUT there is a complication, the kit is not going to fit.
Already contacted tony and awaiting a response.
The trigger box fits snug but leaves no where near enough space for the valve to fit into the back and Mis-aligns with the rear pin.
Also the bolt cannot go all the way forward as the charging handle stops it.
Any ideas or suggestions ?
Will add pics when I get on my pc.
😢

Yes and no, i knew about everything else except the rear mill down for the valve. I didnt expect it to be easy, all good fun. He also kindly sent me some images of a past 416 build and pretty much the same thing was needed to be done.

The moral of the story is, dont mess with hight pressure infront of women

LordGeorge reacted to proffrink in HPA... Tippman, p* fusion engine?
Daytona Gun. Recoil, loud noise, no electronics but still a rate of fire up to about 20rps on the lighter bolt systems. It's extremely accurate when combined with an R-Hop and a wider bore barrel once the break-in is done.
Cons are huge air consumption (you'll want a 4500 tank) and highest initial cost of any HPA option. Also getting parts and help when you start is a bit of a hassle, but not impossible. Oh and the 10k break-in is a little annoying as you get choppers, flyers and varying FPS for that time.

Haha I dont disagree, i had my last skirmish with the GBB and 5 low caps. It was allot of fun.
Like i said, i will get some mid caps soon

Kit is in the UK somewhere so hopefully get that monday/tuesday as planned.
while starting the strip down of the receiver, noticed a slight problem with installing a IGL...
A lack of holes !
Looks like a vice and drill will be my next best friend!
Bit tricky to drill any hole while preserving the thread and the strengh of the grip.
Will be much easier to gauge once it all comes.

Yeah most likely.
I looked at a condor bag, trouble is I'm all black so getting good quality backpacks on black is tricky.
Might as well be picky when we out this much into it all 👍🏻

Yeh, the carbon fibre tanks are really light - tends to be the regulator that weighs more.
I saw this yesterday. It's like a cheap WAS cargo pack: http://www.tacticalairsoftshop.co.uk/8fields---molle-type-tactical-hydration-pack---coyote-1860-p.asp - looks perfect for a tank setup.
Gunna grab myself a second 88/4500 this evening so I have no fear of needing to haul a Scuba tank along with me to games.

LordGeorge got a reaction from Sacarathe in The Daytona Build
Not got anything in the house that can measure the weight for some reason.
I did however find the weight on the tinterweb, 1.9 KG
Considering its size, its really not that bad and honestly doesnt feel like nearly 2kg.
I will aquire a measuring device and confirm this.
EDIT
Scrap the last bit, i reverted to dumb ass mode and checked the packaging and not the bottle!
All the specs are on the bottle lol.
Its 1.47Kg.

Hey all
I have been dipping in and out of different threads looking for help with various issues.
Thankyou all that have been involved so far, proffrink has been a god ! Thanks dude.
But issues aside, i though i would open a dedicated thread purely for my new build which not many people seem to have covered.
Building a daytona HPA setup!
I plan to go though the stages from start to finish, so anyone who plans on doing it can turn and cry at the expense of the setup or jizz and go for it.
Currently i am in the plan and order stage, if anyone has any questions or wants a readup on kit etc, take a look at my other thread below.
