    Got a week off coming up with a couple of days to spare, anyone know of any sites that run during the week? i know its a long shot as not really commercially viable...but..

    put the stock gears back in and its cyclying beatifully with the new motor, and cylinder etc but i fear they may not last very long. So the issue seems to be something to do with the 13:1 gears. I suspect its the smaller battery not giving out enough grunt for the motor to turn them. Therefore i will get a 11.1v in there at some point and see then !

    Hmm Might switch back out to my stock gears, see if the system cycles then i will know if its the battery or poor fitting

    Hi All, Just upgraded the internals on my Umarex H&K UMP.The problem is once i installed all the upgrades and went to test it the gearbox will lock up and not turn. I therefore took it apart to look for problems.Couldnt find any and completed regreased the system. It continues to lock up. The upgrades ive installed are 4/5 ported cylinder new reinforced piston. new double o-ring piston head. 13:1 ratio gears High Speed High Torque motor Now ive run the system off a 7.4v NimH to test. Would this be the problem for it not turning ? e.g Not enough power? The motor turns outside of the gearbox when attached to this battery. Or are the some other problems i need to look for? Cheers

    Anyone attempted to put back together a Umarex gearbox?? Single most frustrating experience of my life. WHY DO THEY MAKE THE TRIGGER MECHANISM SO BLOODY FIDDLY

      my G&G one was a walk in the park compared to this! Finally got it back together and it keeps locking up. Took it apart and cant find any problems. Thinking it my be the battery not delivering enough power

      very good guide but start moderate - do all the stuff inside - most stock stuff is fine, mosfet aoe seals is what you need, then add motor or 11.1v after the donkey is done - sorted

    Difference between an 8.4v 1200mAh battery and 8.4v 2200mAh battery anyone? both are NimH, Cheers

    Hi All, I love playing in woodland and have often played in CQB sites which are built with dirt mounds, sheds, tyres etc. But my problem is they always feel like an extra purpose built set area in which to hold a CQB game. Ive always loved the idea of playing in an abandoned industrial complex/housing area etc etc as if i was playing in an apocalyptic world. Wandered if anyone has played on a site which you could liken to this description, may be dreaming of an ideal world but don't ask don't get an all that. Any suggestions? Cheers

    Considering attending a mil-sim event this weekend, just cautious about it being full of over-enthusiastic wannabes. Anyone had experience of mil-sim?

      I had a worse-case scenario and lots of douche-bags on my team, and i didn't really enjoy the scenario. These are clearly a minority and I was just unlucky. Prob same mix as a normal skirmish but you're kinda forced to work together more. People take it more seriously, so there's more potential for people to argue etc. But there's also more potential for very enjoyable good teamwork. All milsims seem to be well organised/composed so if the game style/rules etc sounds appealing...

      Little tricky to fit but goes in raiders etc with crane stock OK

      Might have some usual twin stick ones around going cheap as gone lipo which you should consider perhaps

      stock guns a little bit better perhaps but you are limited to volts 7.4 or jumping up to 11.1v

      Life or LiFePo are in middle at 9.9v

      But if/when you tweak a gun with more beefy motors you gotta go lipo coz old skool nimah or nicad's just don't have the grunt to cut it

      There aren't any real deal companies making any to my knowledge if you don't mind the dodgy non-genuine MARPAT pattern then TaiwanGun sells some. I'd imagine a few HK retailers will stock something similar as well. More likely to find AOR2 stuff as well
