  3. Reserve cleats for good ground - they aid grip on the right surface but can grip too well and turn an ankle (Ive seen people run, turn and left their foot grip in place trying to go in a different direction) For variable surfaces it must be something with good ankle support, chunky soles help but as Lyndication noted deep sloppy mud is sloppy mud In my tournament photography days I wore astro football boots for astro turf (chosen by a football mum and turned out perfect on good turf) For grass I would use dedicated paintball cleats (actually close to golf shoes) with a range of changeable studs - they included asto studs but I never fitted those as football mums know best These were great on the grass and mud but the studs stabbed into the soles of my feet on the gravel paths For anywhere else boots are the right answer * I would not have spent money on those cleats, but a copyright infringement when a manufacturer publishes an advertising campaign using an uncredited meme of your photo works wonders for copyright compensation 😉
  4. Yet he was condescending towards me and my group of lads? “speshul forces” just returning that energy to sender
  5. He called it as he saw it on the day; there was no need for you to be condescending.
  6. Neither is cheat calling, the chap obviously made a poor rifle choice and instead of conceding and asking to borrow/pay for a hire gun he blamed it on someone else? when we switched teams on the Sunday, one of the US commanders blew my wig off with a tri shot gas shotgun from 5m away at the wall, he could of hit me somewhere else but he didn’t and I laughed it off and gave him a well done because that’s on me for not protecting myself better, I haven’t took to a public forum to go whine about it, he knew people can full auto up close if he didn’t want to get hit in the head he should wear better protection but that’s just another day at Airsoft Airsoft is an honour sport and you should always play for the man down range I try to stick to that especially for games like this I was actively giving ideas to the opposite team so they could counter us better, I’d rather have a hard fought fight and than an easy one not that it was easy. I hope to see this chap at the next nam game and certainly hopes he has a better game with out the expense someone having a bad game

  8. Ok so far I'm really impressed by the new stock hop . Far more stable than the older VFC AR15 hops from the box
  9. I’ve got full working internals of one if that’s of any interest?
  10. There's one on there without the ceramic plates for 50 quid, not sure anyone wants the plates as they bloody heavy. Thanks for the reply mate. I might stick it in the trade section and see what happens. Love your user name. 😆
  11. Yes everyone else seemed to struggle the same, just trying not to naff up my wanky knees any more than they are already.Avoid hills it is.
  12. Oh man that gets worse the longer it goes on
  13. I’d be checking eBay for similar items dude if your struggling to ping a price on here with it (though some eBay sellers are EXPENSIVE) so use your finest judgment from there 😂
  14. Oh boy! Condescension is not a positive trait.

  17. There's not much that can help if it's just sloppy and muddy tbh. Good boots with ankle support are pretty essential. It's a long, long three legged race to the car if you fuck your ankle on most sites.

  21. something like this maybe? I used them on my boots in the snow. Fiver a pair
  22. After finding myself unable to scale some hills last week I decided to investigate footwear options. Does anybody use cleats or football/rugby boots? Can you share the good and/or bad points? I couldn't get up a few hills but also slid down 2 or 3 too boot ( not a pun).My normally superb boots let me down and as I lack the reflexes of a cat now chances are I'm going to land on my face or ass sooner rather than later. Should I opt for "different" footwear or avoid hills altogether, many players struggled BTW. TIA.
  23. Had this for years, not something I'm likely to use. Is this something anyone on here would be interested in? If so, how much is it likely to be worth please? Just realised I put tomorrow's date on it, hope that doesn't break the rule as I've just put it back in the attic and put the ladder away. Thanks.
  24. well i was at this game and on the US team playing in the special forces team most of us where new to the site and not airsoft or Milsim, we play together atleast once a month at a 24/36/60 game and often play at night, in hilly enviroment and woodland the VC/PAVN/NVA guys on the saturday did put up some good ambushes as we roamed around trying to be ambushed as per our tasking, sadly the VC/PAVN/NVA guys strong in spirit didnt talk to each other during a fight and got flanked very easily they just seemed to be a gathering of indviduals rather than a team that could work together to overwelm another team, for example they stayed in bushes and waited for someone else to start shooting at us rather than say wait till there close and we'll all pop up at once (keep this in mind) it wasnt your low numbers it was (prepare for cringe) your tactics that let you down as we proved 8/9 organised and experianced players can smash 8/9 unorganised players that have no experiance together Spawn camping? we held our hands up we crossed at the checkpoint when we contacted you guys and josh had a word and we cleared up a miscommunication, the second time we looped around site to firebase circile for a tasking which we sat on for 5 minutes and josh pulled us back in your use of a sniper rifle is very very limted at that site due to the main points of interest being a clearling of no more than 30m x 30m so like you said usless and maybe you got a little sour you where getting clipped by an M60 or stoner than can full auto with no MED, i was the M60 gunner and stuck to the 1 second rule by saying Mississippi in my head while firing and i did spread my fire left and right to maximise "surpression" in bushes and possible hard cover posistion so my guys can fan out and flank, we countered ambushes by splitting into two groups forming a basic L shape which worked very well, other times we simply had the drop by being quiet as possible "not calling hits" now if you are the person i think you are, i remember getting hit by your sniper and thinking it was a twig dropping from the tree, i barely felt it and made little to no sound, this was by the mortor pits, i only relaised it was a BB when i saw your head and rifle aiming at me and promtley raised my hand and called it, maybe use heavier weight BB's or increas the FPS? and have you played airsoft before? people moving through bushes, to and from cover running struggle to feel singular hits especially on thick cotton M56 webbing so you disadvantaged your self in this case by using a sniper rifle at range its a shame you didnt play sunday, i assume people leaving due to the medical condition "Butt Hurt" VC/PAVN/NVA had low numbers, we offered to Josh we would swap teams, he was thankful we did, we had a steller time on VC doing ambushes and giving the US and aussies a damn good thrashing and capturing one of there guys, we used a NVA whistle to draw fire to a direction with less of us so our other half can flank and hit them blind sided while shouting GI GO HOME, YOU GUNNA DIE GI etc personally i think you would of had a better time renting an AK after realising the sniper was a bad idea, sounds like a skill issue aswell we made uncle Ho Chi Josh proud on sunday and after the event he had no complaints and we had done nothing wrong even with multple player marshals watching us
  25. Nope, there's plenty of metal bodied TM and WA guns That said, it's often zamak rather than alu and definitely not steel.
