I've been hit there few times - one shot even generated t a blood blister! I still wouldn't bother faffing about with specific protection though.

To QD or not to QD (Advice on QD sling points)

That's the problem, wth the chinese knock offs it's a lottery whether they'll be the right size or not. If you're dead set on qd mounts then you're better off spending a bit more on better quality ones but bear in mind there's the chance that it could be the qd slot on the rif that's the problem (not likely but still a possibility). Like Mr Puceflange above, I prefer the HK style sling hook ascites feels far more secure -

Of course I would rather spend £30 on a qd point than drop a replica however if you want a two point sling you’re looking at (just an example) £30 for the rail attached qd point, another £35 if you want a QD rear sling plate or another £50+ for a legit stock with QD point. If you’re using a £150 Aeg, spending £80 odd on a way to secure a sling I would consider to be expensive however if you’re putting those same parts onto a £800 GBBR then of course it’s more justified imo -
I’d love to know how you cram 17 beebs into an APS shell? 😯

Either your site has a really high end chrono or that's kind of a pointless exercise haha. Heck a lot of chronos struggle with 3 shot shotguns, nevermind 17.

Depends on what you class as expensive? Maybe £30 on a R/S qc sling point, vs the possible damage and repairs that could possibly result in a replica hitting the ground. Personally, I prefer a loop style sling point and use an HK style attachment Just as fast, and I trust it more to support the £100 (how much I told my mrs it cost) gbbr replicas 😉🤫 -
Fook me…. The steel model is almost 3 kilos heavier than the ally job! 😳

There's no way to shoot a single bb so I've just got to shoot a fully loaded shell through the chrono. Normally gives a reading in the high 200s. Pretty pointless exercise as you can visibly see bb's aren't going particularly fast, and irritating as loading the shells is not a trivial task.

Cricket box, simple and cheap. Been glad of mine on a number of occasions.

I had two VFC stanags and a bolt carrier valued under £135 (including postage) get held up for 8 days waiting for customs clearance via Parcelforce in the last couple of weeks. Usually these make it through in a couple of days so it was a bit annoying. I do wonder if part of it is due to the RM/PF systems merge which might be slowing things down at the moment.

All ready for this weekend; ready to ambush some GIs with their own gear! Been going down the LBE rabbit hole, watching god knows how many youtube videos and reading a bunch of real steel shooting articles to make sure my setup is as good as it can be and has everything I need. 8 rifle mags (stubby m16 mags or kar98k mags), 4 spare pistol mags, 1911, knife, and a WW2 camo scarf and a bunch of scrim netting in the butt pack for sneaky sniper shenanigans, plus two canteens for water for sustainment. It's also pretty well balanced, with the right side only being slightly heavier than the left because my Bell 1911 is heavier than the rubber knife, though if I use one of my TM 1911s the weight difference is negligible (but I'll be using the Bell 1911 because it's incredibly fun to shoot) I also only just learned that I need to wear my LBE a little bit higher than my waist-line, so... yeah. Learning!

Short answer is no. MWS and WE replicas use a trigger box setup that won't fit a real spec trigger like that. VFC, GHK, and Viper Tech are closer, but the hammers are substantially different on those as they're designed to rest at about 30-45 degrees rather than straight vertical, to mitigate wear and the force needed to reset the hammer. On all three the hammers are also wider than real spec, to spread the force on the bolt carrier as it resets them. You could cludge it in there a bit by welding an extension onto the firing pins but it'd still run far worse than stock, especially as the hammer spring will be very stiff compared to Airsoft ones. I gotta ask: why?

As dodgy as it seems, Bullgear know what they're doing is pretty cheeky so I think they're going to do all they can to keep you happy should any issues arise. It's within their interest to keep their business going and avoid any customers slating them and destroying trust.
