Should more sites weigh the bbs during chrono?

I think I see what you're getting at - in a specific gun the joules at the muzzle will be roughly similar for different weights of ammo. The problem is that some people will lie about what weight they're firing. In your given example if someone says they're firing 0.2g and the chrono measures 340fps then the gun will pass chrono, if they're actually firing 0.28+ then they have effectively cheated the chrono and are in fact firing at MORE than the limit. The chrono cannot detect the weight so the operator has to go on trust that what you SAY your are using is what you are ACTUALLY using. -

As the challenged party, I claim choice of weapons. My preferred weapons are blancmanges thrown at each other from baskets suspended from hot air balloons. You must be a haggis shagger in disguise. -

If the original poster is still active that's a valid question to ask. people are bad at follow up. If the OP hasn't been on line since the day the question was asked yeah dead end!

That depends - if the joules don’t change the velocity also does not change The joules as per the muzzle velocity is different from the energy imparted in the chamber based on many physics things happening along the barrel The energy imparted onto a BB in the chamber remains the same irrespective of the BB (or actually it might, because force has to be exerted to begin the momentum and a heavier BB will resist more than a lighter BB) It accelerates down the barrel, and depending on the internal barrel size vs the BBs actual size could theoretically float on air, but will have friction or bounce around in the barrel, and also get some friction from the hop up before escaping into the open air These various factors are generally called joule creep when a heavier BB does not come out at the ‘right’ slower velocity to match the equivalent energy. The combination of different configurations / efficiency Joules do change - which is of course the whole argument over with regards to chrono checking After leaving the barrel different BBs and different RIF configurations can result in different performance in flight with some losing monentum gradually, some going further, some flying almost perfectly then suddenly dropping when losing backspin. -

Having lived in Glasgow in the distant past, I am aware that it is the contents of Ian Bru cans that are made from girders. I am also aware that it tastes even worse than Vimto, which, given what the latter is an anagram of, is hard to believe. -

King Arms CAA, in good condition but obviously painted. Previously for sale with a different front end. Full metal receiver and front end. Metal buffer tube cut down with cut down XM stock for a compact build. Integrally suppressed up front, suppressor will accept tracer units or foam as front cap unscrews. The gearbox seems to have partially seized up, it still moves a little when the trigger is pulled. I thought the motor may have stripped but I've taken it apart and everything looks to be in good condition, so it may just be my low powered NIMH batteries that can't manage. Either way, sold as a project, reflected in the price.£100

Anyone actually got a Viva Arms product? Just asking as they have been vaporware in the past (like 20 years ago) not sure if they took money back then but they promised all the cool guns being shown above and nothing ever got made.
