It might help to say what you'd been browsing that had become unavailable and by whom it was sold. The odds may be low but you could have looked at the same vendor or it may have been an external vendor or two on Ali akin to Amazon Marketplace whose products had been withdrawn.

It's probably happened on a forum at some point with someone else. I'm speaking from my own experience with a friend getting into airsoft and after getting his UKARA defence signed off. The TLDR of it is that he asked for advice on where to get a specific RIF for around £300. I gave advice but he insisted he knew better and ignored it only for it to bite him square in the arse. I gave a few options, suggesting one that was local albeit 10% more expensive but if something was wrong, he had the luxury of being able to travel less than an hour and return it in person and not be fobbed off on the phone/over email or worry about posting it and and being damaged in transit. He went for the cheaper option, which was much further away but he rather smugly proclaimed himself to be a "shrewd shopper" and accused me of bias, favouring the local option as I had bought from that retailer it in the past. Out of the box, he said it didn't shoot straight as his shots went left of the target past 20m or so, so I suggested he first clean the inner barrel. Nope, he knew better and would push ahead. I suggested he may have to re-seat his hop but warned it may invalidate his warranty. He insisted on going on and if he had any more trouble, he'd return it and explain the fault. We went on and played a skirmish where he said his gun jammed every so often then Sod's law happened as he dropped his gun on concrete and caused significant cosmetic damage. He thought to return it and I said there was a cat's chance in Hell that the retailer would accept it that condition with the magwell being cracked and the handguard having a dent and could deem the fall to have caused the fault he reported. He went on to check the return policy and not only was I right about accidental damage invalidating a return for a fault, he had left it too late after purchase anyway. I haven't been a total and utter bastard yet as I haven't said "I told you so" or that he wasn't as shrewd a shopper as he thought because he didn't consider the post-sale experience too. 😅

It seems to lock up well ATM but it's pot metal lugs so I don't have huge faith in the long term -

AK mags fitting and locking in place but not feeding
Austeyr replied to Johndaniel4863's topic in General Help
Second this, I've used Cyma, E&L, Specna and LCT mags in my DB Krink with no issues at all (Minus the E&L mags not feeding the last few bb's but they suck anyway so) As Collin said, try shimming the lip of the mag, I had to do similar with Acturus AK12 mags fitting my LCT -

That would have been my plan. I asked about the takedown model when one came up for sale before and everyone was saying they're more trouble than they're worth as the takedown fittings wear out -

I imagine they would have struggled to have much of an independent arms industry so I reckon they would have borrowed a lot from Scandinavia. A "Highlands" patttern with greens, browns, greys and heather tones. Possibly Swedish M90, Finish M/91 or Danish M/84. If you wanted to more Cosplay, some sort of custom Tartan pixel camo. Load-bearing gear would likely be similar to UK PLCE, but big bags and more waterproofs. Weapons wise it would probably be G3/AK5/FNC and something Sig-like for a pistol. If you want to go IRA-alike probably lots of Thistle and Saltire patches.

I cannot think of a reason why it would not cycle on an 11.1v other than a battery/connector issue. As Skara stated, a video of you trying to shoot it using an 11.1v would be useful. What charger are you using?

AK mags fitting and locking in place but not feeding
Colin Allen replied to Johndaniel4863's topic in General Help
It could be that the initial insertion is pushing the CYMA mags up far enough for a few BBs to feed, after which the back of the mag drops a bit because the mag catch is not holding it up far enough. You could try lightly shimming the underside of the lip at the back of a mag to see if it makes a difference. -
AK mags fitting and locking in place but not feeding
Johndaniel4863 replied to Johndaniel4863's topic in General Help
They are identical from what I have compared, and when I remove them from the rifle they spit out about 4 or 5 bbs which makes me think they must be feeding Totally new and fires fine with the magazine it comes with -
AK mags fitting and locking in place but not feeding
Colin Allen replied to Johndaniel4863's topic in General Help
I run CYMA midcaps in a Double Bell AK without any issues. Did you buy it new or second hand? If the former, does it feed on the supplied mag? If not, it could be a nozzle problem or there could be an issue with the hop unit. If it was second hand, then can you borrow a different mag to try? -
Those funny Scottish people in skirts keep going on about their ‘fweedom’, but evey Orcadian knows that we would just have to fork up 100,000 crowns to pay back the King of Norways debt for which Orkney was handed over…… Less than £10, unless we’re generous as he was king of Norway and Denmark at the time, so if we use the Danish exchange rate its less than £15

Lyndication replied to Johndaniel4863's topic in General Help
Are you sure the Double Bell is compatible with those mags? Is there any difference between the DB AK mags and the Cyma ones? How deep they go into the magwell, the height of the feed tube, etc, etc -
Hi everyone, Hoping someone can help with an issue I am having.... Recently bought a cheap steel receiver and wooden furniture double bell Ak47 to add a dong handguard to (not that it will ever be used probably as I have far too many AKs already) The issue I have with it is I run Cyma midcaps that work with all my other different brands of AKs but in the double bell they fit and lock into place and when removed they spit out about 5 bbs (so I know they are feeding) but when I try and fire the rifle it just dry fires? Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this as I am away at the moment and want to get it up and running on my return home! Cheers John
